I noticed that when I have WINAMP running on my PC the bluetooth connection to active sync does not work due to port problems.
When I shut Winamp down it works.
Does anyone know how to configure AS ports and which ports are beeing used anyway?
oh I think it is actually OUTLOOK 2003 itself.

Hi Guys,
I've searched for the solution to this problem with no luck so I'm hoping someone here can help me.
I'm using Onyx's ROM, ver 4, and ActiveSync (4.5) works fine if no media player is running. But as soon as I start WMP or MediaMonkey, or any player with syncing ability, ActiveSync would disconnect. It would show the spinning green icon and say connecting in the dialogue, but never reconnects.
The same is true if I have WMP or MediaMonkey already running and plug the phone in. ActiveSync would not connect at all. My media players are able to sync my iPod w/o issue, and if I put the phone in "disk drive" mode, I can sync to it as well.
So bottom line is, w/o any media player running, ActiveSync works; with media player running, ActiveSync doesn't work. Any ideas guys?
Thanks
I'd like to use Activesync 4.5 to synchronize my X1i with MS Outlook content (calendar, contacts, etc.) on my PC. My PC does not host MS Exchange. Is it possible to set this synchronization up over WLAN/wifi? I got it running already with USB and Bluetooth, but the range of my Bluetooth connection is very poor in comparison with my WLAN (which consists of several access points). I noticed a workaround for older versions of PocketPC and Activesync, but it seems obsolete.
Active Sync 4.5 - WLAN - Not going !!
Really there is no way? Virtual COMs or something ?
sorry cant help you but maybe you can help me. how did you get bluetooth active synch working.
what operating system are you running? im still running windows 2000. i got a computer running xp and another one running vista basic and i could not get my x1a to synch up via bluetooth.
i think active sync 3.8 was the last version that allawed to connect to pc over wifi. MS stopped it for security reasons. bluetooth is the nexy option
I have synced my PC with my X1 via bluetooth. I sync it every other day but thats only because I forget to bluetooth connect it. Is there a program where I can schedule my X1 to activate bluetooth and connect via ActiveSync at a specified time and day?
Done a search but no luck. Any help is appreciated.
The right question
I'd double this request. It could be even like when ever you have bluetooth turned on and host pc is near it would do it automatically. Or activesync over internet with all the possible apps that also work over activesync like Jeyo Mobile Companion and Winamp-s activesync module without the complicated Exchange Server. I think this is hopeless... but maybe? Anybody?
EDIT: This is a genereic question, not X1 specific
I am pretty sure you can do this with mortscript...but it will be tricky.
Hey all -
I have read and experienced that Windows Media Player will not sync over bluetooth, and that's pretty frustrating. I would love to download podcasts/music on my computer and wirelessly sync them to my phone using bluetooth overnight. Has anyone figured out how to make this happen?
Thanks!
