I am having a problem with ActiveSync and Windows Media Player. If I go into media player and setup a playlist to sync, Media player begins to sync the files to the device. However, it will randomly stop as it is processing the list. If I disconnect the device from my computer and reconnect it will start where it left off and continue on for some amount of time and stop again. If I do the disconnect reconnect long enough it will finally finish. I have this problem with both ActiveSync 4.2 and 4.5 Beta 2.
Also, I feel that the data transfer is slow using ActiveSync. I have a MicroSD card and if I put the card into my computer's read and have Media Player copy the media files to it Media player cannot convert the files fast enough to keep up with the transfer pace. But through ActiveSync the media file conversion will out pace the transfer.
I noticed that when I have WINAMP running on my PC the bluetooth connection to active sync does not work due to port problems.
When I shut Winamp down it works.
Does anyone know how to configure AS ports and which ports are beeing used anyway?
oh I think it is actually OUTLOOK 2003 itself.
Hey all -
I have read and experienced that Windows Media Player will not sync over bluetooth, and that's pretty frustrating. I would love to download podcasts/music on my computer and wirelessly sync them to my phone using bluetooth overnight. Has anyone figured out how to make this happen?
Thanks!
Ivan
Hi all, I'm new to this site and to the HD2(US/tmobile version) so I apologize ahead of time if this is a a dumb question! I just got the HD2 and am trying to sync my music to it but after a few songs, the sync process stops with no error message or anything. I have to unplug the device and plug it back in and start the process over again. Does anyone know what could be causeing this and more importantly, how to fix it?
i had the same problem, lately it doesnt exists anymore, i make lists of my songs to windows media player and then sync them to hd2, maybe the solution is that i copy list per list to sync and not all of them together, sometimes the sunc between pc - windows mobile just stops (some of windows mysteries).
I suppose that you connect win mobile with sync choise and not as usb connection
Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to share media from my I9000 with my windows Vista desktop (connected via LAN)?
When I tried scanning from my phone it could not find any device. I think this maybe because perhaps a wired connection cannot be connected to DLNA? Could someone let me know if there is some way to do this?
TIA
Dear friend
You can access to your mobile files and folders via Wireless lan with WEBSHARING software.
Also I am interested to know how can I share my files in my PC with My Galaxy S
Actually I am looking for streaming not just file sharing.
Is there any way to get this within Windows itself?
make sure your phone is connected via wifi in the same network with any device that runs a DLNA compatible player (such as Windows Media Player) then run "allshare" and you will see the name of the computer(s) with the player...
I hope this helped.
it doesnt work for me. my computer is connected via a cable , while my mobile phone connects wireless to the same router..
Doesn't work for me either. In the Media Player "media sharing" I am unable to see the Galaxy S.
i just tried. it's working on my windows 7 32bit.
running the latest Wmedia Player. which i believe is 11?
streaming media FROM my phone, streaming media TO my phone.
i'm using JPY from samfirmware.
oh yea i'm connected to WIFI on both my laptop and my phone.
It doesn't matter how your pc is connected to your network (wifi or cable). You should "see" the computer that runs DLNA player via allshare and choose it. After that, your computer sees the gallery of your phone and is able to browse and play media from it.
Edit: Galaxy S shows up in the media player's library
