Heylo
In search of the ever-snappier X1 setup, I've noticed that there are two files taking up far too much space in the \Windows folder, one being the startup splash screen (which weighs in at a touch over 2MB) and the Xperia theme, which is a decidedly plump 1.5MB. The Xperia theme, I'd like to replace that with a solid black. Is there any way to do this with code rather than with a black image? I vaguely recall something like this being possible in ye olde XML skins of my 2002 SPV Smartphone. Can the same be done on the X1? If so, how?
Also, the splash screen. That SE logo only adds about a second to the bootup time, but it's a second I'd rather not have to wait. Does anyone know how it can be disabled?

Hello, may be, it was posted somewhere, i tried to find it, but didnt found
I installed the blue reptile skin for phone screen from www.zombienexus.net. It looks cool and also the fonts in on the keyboard etc are white, that means you can read them very good. The problem is, that the font for the last call, actual call etc. stays black. Is there any register hack or another possibility how to change the font color for these informations?
Also, on the top of the screen is very ugly T-mobile logo, can this be somehow deleted or replaced thru a completly transparent logo?
Thx in advance.

I still dont know how to change the color of the fast dial application, as this is also black.
The dialer logo is a picture file in the windows directory. I did not try to change it but I think you can replace it for something else.
Many thanks BlackIce, Greetings to Wien, it works perfectly, cool.
Has anybody successfully found a way to remove the Cingular branding from the 8125 upper left corner?
Load the new Qtek rom. It's completely unbranded except for the initial Qtek splash screen which I kind of like actually...
A much easier way is to edit Carrierlogo.gif to anything you want. In photoshop you can make the background transparent so its not an ugly blue rectangle as well.
Post title says it all really.
I have a bluetooth headset which is not always reliable to connect first time, and is sometimes difficult to tell if it is connected or not. This is due mainly to the stupid system of flashing blue LED's (Motorola HS810) and partly because (i'm getting to the point soon) I use the black zombienexus dialer skin.
My problem is that the headset icon in the top right of the dialer screen is black, which on a nearly black background is impossible to see. Is there anybody out there who knows where the registry entry is that would allow me to change the colour of this icon.
I was trying to do the same thing for a black dialer i was modifying. Apparently there is no registry hack - the icon is part of one of the dll's. This has tried to be res hacked but because it is microsoft signed - not possible to resign it. I have checked some of the other forums that design dialers esp buzzdev.net and zombienexus but no fix is apparent yet.
I sort of had a fix with a small apple logo in right hand corner to match appleblack theme but still not quite acceptable.
why cant GIF images move on my phone. i would like an image to be put on my today screen that moves. even viewing the image as a file does not make it move.
I would like to get them to move as it makes my Wizard look bad when people with lesser phones send them to me
I know it sucks! The only place animations work is in caller images. If you want animated today screen you have to buy an animation enabler program Well this is a pda first and then a phone.
Hello everyone. I want to make a splash screen for my game. I need the image to fit the screen's width but I want the height to be larger than the screen's. Than, I will have an animation moving the image vertically, hiding the top part and showing the bottom one.
I have searched a lot and I am more puzzled now on how I should do this.
Firstly the only solution I found for the fitting part was a combination of java and xml. But the problem here is that the java class doesn't produce a bigger than the screen image, but a cropped image. So, I can't make the animation later on.
Than i figured out that I could use a scrollview. And after combining some solutions I found on the web, I managed to have the right dimensions for my image and avoid any cropping. But now I can't do the animation because I am using the "fromYDelta ... toYDelta" and I can't find a way to calculate how much to put in the "toYDelta" value. And it cannot be a fixed value because every screen is different and so the dimensions of my splash screen.
Can anyone tell me a way to do this? Should I do it only in java and don't use xml at all? Or is it possible to do this through xml only (which would be better I think)?
