Is there any way of assigning the sms inbox to one on the hardware keys?
Thanks in advance
For sure. Get yourself a Registry Editor (there are multiple ones; I prefer the one form resco that comes with Resco Explorer, which is shareware, but you can also use PHMRegedit I think it's called, that's free). Then change this key:
Code:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\112]
"Default"="Start"
"Open"=":MSINBOX"
Default will contain the label of the button on homescreen, Open the file to open. :MSINBOX should directly take you to your inbox. I think you could also use "poutlook.exe -service "SMS" -inbox" instead of :MSINBOX, this would always take you to your SMS inbox. :MSINBOX goes to last-opened.
hey thnks for the rept but after typing in ;msinbox nothing happens when i press the hardware key :S
It's a : and not ;. If you did this correct and it still doesn't work, try this instead of :MSINBOX
Code:
tmail.exe -service "SMS"

Can these folders be opened directly by a certain command? \Windows\cprog.exe unfortunately only openes the dial pad window and \Windows\tmail.exe openes the main window of pocketoutlook.
I'm planning to make a script for rltoday, that's what I need this for.
without knowing for sure maybe some parameters added to the tmail.exe
would open the spc folders in outlook

That is exactly, what I'm thinking. But I can't figure out, which parameters to use.
For inbox, try using:
tmail.exe -service "SMS"
It should open your inbox. At least it works for me.
To directly open the new sms window type:
tmail.exe -to "<number>" -body "hello" -service "SMS"
You can remove the parameters you don't need.
For email, replace "SMS" to "ActiveSync"

It works! Have a million thanks. You don't happen to know how to call the "incoming/outgoing calls" window, do you?
Ok, found it. For anyone, who might be interested in the future and finds this thread:
VJPhoneShortcuts "CallHistory.exe" will help you.

I use VJPhoneShortcuts and it works good for that purpose.

May I know the command line that can turn on/off the bluetooth/WIFI directly?
VJVolubilis should enable/disable bluetooth. I don't think it works with Wifi right now on some hardware.

I don't know if there is a way to autosend it with a shortcut...
Anyway you can write a script in MortScript or you can code a program to send an SMS with the Windows APIs...

I just installed WM6.1 and I am going to use the stock SMS Program. I would like to have a SMS Softkey on the home screen so when I press it it opens up text messaging. I know how to edit the registry and I already have it saying SMS I just dont know the value to put in so it opens up Text messaging and not just messaging in general?
Also if there is a way to change the left soft key in text messaging from Delete to New that would make my day!!!
To get it to point to Text Messaging, make sure your link points to
"\Windows\tmail.exe" -service "SMS"
Just upgraded to 6800 Mogul that came with WM6.1. I have a today plugin that requires the shortcut to SMS, but the tmail shortcut just takes me to the screen where I chose between email and messaging. Is there a direct link or shortcut to SMS?
I did a search for this, but could not find the answer. Thanks in advance.
There is a setting in the messaging program to not start at the account picker. Just make sure that it isn't set to do so and you'll go straight to text messaging or whatever account u last had opened. Press left or right to move from account to account.
Make a copy of the "tmail.exe" shortcut, or just copy the "Messaging.lnk"
Depending on which explorer you use, I use Resco so I can change the path, but it should look like this:
"\Windows\tmail.exe" -service "SMS" "-to" "-body"
Have that in your properties for the shortcut, if not, open a new notepad file and copy that shortcut and save it as "New SMS.lnk".
this will take you directly to the sms section bypassing the select account screen
Hello all,
I've had my Pro for two days now, and I'm working on changing the softkeys with a registry editor called "PHM Registry Editor".
Right now, I've got my right soft key set to bring up my SMS inbox, but I want it to bring up a "new SMS".
The value data is currently set at: "\Windows\tmail.exe"
What is the file path I need to use so it will bring up a new SMS as opposed to my whole inbox?
Thanks so much to anyone who can help!
PS: I would appreciate "lamens terms", if possible - I'm not too tech savvy!
I've been trying all day to get it to go directly to a New SMS, but to no avail. All I can get it to do is go to my SMS inbox....
Any help??
If not, can I change the "delete" softkey that appears inside of the sms inbox to a "new" function??
I hate that I have to hit like 5 buttons to send a damn text message!!!
Please help!!!
"\Windows\tmail.exe" -service "SMS" -to ""-body"

I'm doing this and its still taking me directly to my inbox... Any thoughts?
A gift for you...
Unzip and copy smssender.exe somewhere to your phone - program files folder is a good place. Assign a shortcut to it, and then assign one of your softkeys to the shortcut.
Voila... 1 tap to start sending an sms!
Hello,
short question:
i have changed
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCONTACTS
"String 1" value from :MSPOUTLOOK contacts to "\Program Files\PocketCM\PocketCM.exe".
Ok, now, when i klick on contacts PocketCM opens.
But when i click on EDIT CONTACT in any othe Programm the standard WM Contact Manager comes up, not PocketCM.
What must i do in this case?
Thanks
