Thanks in advance to anyone who can assist me. I have a Pharos 117 and have tried every cab and reg edit solution on the web, but I am still unable to receive full size MMS picture messages. Tmobile was unable to help (surprise) and I have been trying a bunch of different custom Tmobile cab files to no avail. I see the image appear in the inbox as 127k then change to 4k. I have had different people send me pics from different phones with the same result. I had the same issue with my previous GSM unlocked phone and know others with the 117 having the same issues. I hope someone can help me. Thanks!

hi i have a x1 on o2 uk.. whenever i recieve a picture message the pictures are very tiny is there a way to fix this?
yeah there is i downloaded 3 files installed to and it works now cnt remember what they are but there are links on here simwhere

i checked and the photo resolution is already set to original
I think these setting refer to when you send mms, and not when you receive. Did you ask the people sending you the mms, if they have some setting that compress the image?

Hey, yes it's a problem that occurs when you change from the original rom on your phone, because the operator will normally customise the mms settings for your phone and their network. I know I have seen this before somewhere on this site but after much searching and looking I still cant find it. I want to increase the number of ppl I can send MMS messages from 10 to ? Right now I can only send 10 MMS messages at once with my TMOUS HD2. Does anyone have the reg edit handy? Thx.

I have a Hero with official android installed(updated too), no rooted... It´s unbranded.
My question is:
Everytime i receive a MMS it just gets 1kb picture.
I read a lot of threads about it and found a lot of apk files to modify the useragent.
To install those files, my device needs to be rooted?
If it needs to be rooted, is there another way(i dont want to root)?

I had this same problem a while back.... you get a MMS msg which is 1kb in size that you cant open!
It turned out.. it wasnt a MMS message at all... someone had sent me a text that was too long to fit in a SMS, so it was converted to MMS. I forget how i fixed it.. maybe i changed something in the MMS settings. Have changed ROM's so many times now i dont know where/what i changed. or might have contacted my carrier to send me MMS settings.
Make sure your phone is set up to reccieve MMS from your carrier! I think thats what fixed the problem for me.. not 100% sure tho

Everything works great, EXCEPT the messege app.
And normally id just switch to hangouts or something, but then i cant use my gear
The issue is in the message app, if you scroll down the features it says it was tweaked
And something about disabled sms to mms converting
This is causing me to only send texts 160 chars or less, any bigger and it is not received.
I can send mms (pictures ) as well as recieve them
I can recieve large texts msgs
I cannot send over 160 (where it would normally convert to mms)
How can i undo the tweaks done to this app, or how can i find a stock s5 messeges.apk
Ive looked everywhere. Someone please help, its frusterating not being able to send long texts ford business as i do very frequently.

I have an Unlocked Verizon HTC 10 running Viper10 5.11
I've been loving the phone and Viper10, but I must have overlooked something or maybe there was a glitch somewhere because I can't send MMS messages, and I'm pretty sure I haven't been able to since the beginning of using the phone (I immediately installed Viper10 after buying, never used it stock).
So my problem that I'm hoping someone can help me with is that I can't send MMS messages at all. If it helps, I installed Viper10 without the stock Messenger app, and I use Handcent for all texting. I'm using the default settings in Handcent for sending MMS which auto-downscales images to be 1MB if they are larger. But it fails to send anything over MMS regardless of size (it even fails to send pics/audio <100kb).
In trying to research the problem on my own, I've read that the issue might be related to some, any, or none of the following: Preferred Network, Network Preference, wrong APN settings, or incorrect firmware version for my setup.
So I'm a bit unclear on how to proceed. I'm hoping I can fix this without reinstalling Viper10 but if it comes to that I will.
I've attached screenshots that might be helpful. And I'm happy to provide more if it helps. I'm sure someone here knows how to get me in the right direction. Thanks!
