just a quick question for anyone willing, how do i prevent the text message alert from continuing to play after i've opened the message? to stop the alert i have to go into the alert config and press stop in the preview section
i dont really want to shorten the song, as it runs the risk of me not hearing it, so is it possible to make it stop when i activate the phone?
cheers, daniel
bump...i'd really love some help with this, its one of the only things bugging me at the moment...
ive looked through the wiki and done a fair bit of searching, but nothing so far, is there a tweak in the registry or...?

i've been looking for this i first had a winmo phone.
hope someone finds the answer.
btw, change ur thread title to say...
"call timer while in a call" or something?
nothing wrong with ur current, just that i'm like you, want more people to understand wot we're looking for?
thanks
Hello Guys, I've already searched the whole forum - but didn't find any satisfying answer ... Is it possible to slow-down the vibration alert of our X1(i) cause it's really annoying all the time attracting complete attention when getting a phone call *g*
As always: Thanks
Kind Regards

try using valert, it works out of the box, and you can customize vibration from the script file found in "program files/valert"
Hello & thanks
As far as I know you can only modify length and kind of vibrating but not its strength [being a lil bemused cause of the setting-file *g*] When being wrong, please correct me and I'm looking forward to getting other hints/applications
Kind Regards

I've been asking around on the MoDaCo forum to see if anyone has found a potential "fix" for the fade in on sound. I was hoping someone around on these forums may know of a way to get rid of the fade-in, or shorten it perhaps. not being an expert in how the audio stack on android devices work, I don't know if it would be as simple as changing a hidden settings file, or if it's at driver/kernel level.
ยป Post on MoDaCo in case anyone's interested...
Its most annoying, as by the time the fade-in has occurred, the notification tone may have finished, so you don't hear it. I hope it can be corrected by someone at some point...
Hi,
You're absolutely right. I was used to symbian calendar notifications, that were SOOOO PERSISTENT: no way to pass unnoticed
Now i hear the sms or calendar sounds 1 out of 5 times.
For the rest, i love this phone.
Bye
where do you change the settings for the "enabled LED notifications" that you turn on in many different programs like BSB Tweaks, HS2tweak and Touch tools. is it a hidden menu or something? i can't find anything and i don't notice any different function of the LED after installing these programs!
really?
ok so 60 people have looked at this and not a single one either knew the answers or couldn't reply. it is really bothering me that i can figure it out since i feel i have poked and prodded all the files and registries in this and i just can't find it!
Well I'll tell you one thing. Your post makes no sense as to what you want. That could be the issue with people not responding. Your all over the place. You start talking about one thing then go into something else.
What exactly are you looking for? How to activate a program you installed? Were the program is installed? I know I couldn't make an sense out of what you were babbling.
If you are asking a question about Touch Tools why not go ask the question in his thread?
my bad!

i didn't mean to come off rude or anything! sorry if i did. my original question seemed pretty clear to me but i wrote it so i knew what i was asking i guess. thanks for pointing it out. i didn't ask it in touch tools thread since it is not solely a function of Touch tools and i thought it would be a simple look here answer and it is more visible out in the open and not burried in some thread I'll try that next time though.

actually you didn't make it much clearer now
anyway, IF I understand you correctly, you need a way to enable/disable led notifications for specific kinds of events.
That's not something you can set from within the stock set of settings afaik, yet there is a tool in here called "led nofications" that does just that, you only have to search for it
i conced....
i must be writing backwards and seeing it correctly myself or something!
thanks for the try.
i'll just leaving it turned on and maybe some day i'll stumble upon it wherever it is on the phone.
Ok I got what you want and I believe it was answered by ephestione. So you want the notification LED on or off?
To find the LED settings for each different event:
settings tab
menu> All Settings
Sounds & Notifications
Notifications Tab
Select an event (eg. Message: New Message)
Select whether or not to flash LED and for what duration. Please note that the LED notification does not work for new emails unless you install Phone alarm by pocket max.
thank you
thank you very much for the very detailed answer. that was exactly what o was looking for. i knew i had it i just had no idea how to use it!
Hi all,
Just have a few questions with a few things that have been bugging me in the last few days.
Firstly, the email program - I need to make the text smaller for when I type. I've looked, but can't see any setting to do so. it seems silly to have such large text when typing on the big screen,. Any way I can change this? Also, in previews, I'm seeing text like "&# 8217" instead of the apostrophe. Any idea what could be causing that?
Secondly, when altering a contacts details, I find my phone slows down drastically after, necessitating a reset. Is this a general bug, or just something on my phone?
Thanks for any help that may come...
