hey, i was just wondering if there was a way to make the bottom curtain in TF3D invisible so you can see the background, but at the same time only show that part of the background, and not things that overflow behind the curtain, such as "About" in the Settings tab (see below).... maybe a way of tricking the manila, or by buliding up a few layers to compromise of the curtain.... i dunno, just a thought

cheers for the reply, but i already know about the different curtains availabale and how to edit manila files etc, i was jus wondering if there was a way to create a manila file, where the bottom curtain is the same as the bottom part of a background, thus eliminating overflow in tabs, but also maximising wallpaper space...

hi, the picture you posted is not about a curtain or something. it is part of the team glassflo3D. all the tabs are invisible except for the one selected. take a look at the link below. what you could do is download the glassflo3d theme and compare the manilla files with a stock one for example to see the modifications.
good luck!

as you can see the curtain still has the invisible effect, but u cant see any interaction from the tabs themselves, only the background....
Yes you can, you need to download any bottomcurtain file, open it in manilla editor or cfc gui, export the image and replace it with the part of the wallpaper that the bottomcurtain covers. after that, replace the image in the manila file, disable tf3d and copy the manila to windows.
It's a lot of work though for just a change in two tabs, but if you really want it, it's possible.
Grtz
im also experiencing this problem any ideas except of this one above?

that wont work as the manila file is a certain size... it jus repeats it self along the curtain.

Awesome work!
I LOVE your work! Can you tell me which clock gives you the digits shown in your samples? Is it an invisible, flip background or an invisible HTC clock background?

Thanks. Any ideas on a good invisible clock .cab? I found one but it only made the numbers invisible the background and the ":" were still visible. I have the Sprint Touch Pro-if that matters.

Thanks. That's the one I tried. It leaves the background in place, so without your jpeg it would be invisible but with your image it leaves a blank rectangle where the "invisible" numbers would be. Any ideas?
im not quite sure if i understand...
a background image will not affect the clock in any way...
can you post a screenshot of what you mean?
do you mean the Clock Background image? (default is that white book-like thing)

soory, no idea how to do screen shots. i included a jpeg. see that clock background? On Sprint its black. The invisible clock .cab erases the numbers the the rectangle remains. The imgage is of a "backless" fire clock, btw.

Got it! (sorta) NisseDILLIGAF has some great themes and has a transparent "box" which helps a lot. I'm still searching for a way to completely remove the clock.
Thanks for all your time!
so you want the clock to not show up at all right?
Hi, i wanted to make the curtains transparent, so i got NoCurtains.cab from some thread here, but when i start scrolling between the buttons (home, people, internet etc.) the whole screen goes darker except for the bottom curtain.
To describe better what i mean i included a screenshot:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Notice how the bottom curtain is transparent while the rest of the screen is dark. This is even more visible on the phone itself so my question is: is it possible to make the whole screen overlay transparent when scrolling? Or maybe there is mod already made for that, but i cant find it anywhere.
Also i tried some other mods that make the curtains transparent, but none of them made any difference.
Thanks in advance
I've been looking for this too, or if you could just make the bottom curtain the same "tinted" look but still keep the transparent slider/curtain.
To make the transparency amount the same, i will need to find the image files of the overlay, but if i find them, i will make them fully transparent so..
edit: im using the manila editor, but i cant find the images that are displayed when scrolling between the tabs. Does anyone have idea which images are displayed in this condition?

I've a Vodafone HTC Touch Diamond. I want to know how to remove the white shade while sliding between the pages. There some Panorama background and it doesn't look good while I sliding it. Are there transparent manila file somewhere? I can't find it in this forum.
The manilafile I found here doesn't work.
Thank you
I know it already exists one, but its not customizable in what folder to show.
My ideia is to mix some of the already available plugins out there.
The Favorite People plugin already has the show picture part done.
And the System and Weather plugins use mortcript for some extra tweaking.
{

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I was thinking of a simple softkey button that allows the user to choose a folder (with a browse layout).
And a simple mortscript code to list all the available images on that folder, saving it to a text file database or so.
The plugin would have 3 pages (previous, current and next image). Then, as you scroll left or right, the mortscript would change the name of the images on the plugin pages to make a circular order (or random, if that extra setting existed).
The size of the pictures would be much bigger than the current one, like the plugin changes that theDaniel (used here as an example) and KerMiT80 already made. The picture date of creaton would be a nice detail, as shown in the example, but that would probably give much more work than necessary, so it would probably not appear.
Instead, the plugin could show the full count of the images inside that folder, and what number is showing at the moment.
The condensed view could show a text with a picture icon saying "x pictures in folder Y", being X the total number of pictures inside and Y the folder name or path.
And, of course, if you click on the picture it would pop-up the "picture viewer" showing that image.
This would be pretty easy for me to do in flash, but outside flash, not so much...
So, does anyone want to do this? I can help on the CPR editing, some of the registry code and do the dinamyc picture frame with a small shadow...
Someone is already making such plugin, rpereira is designing a slideshow picture plugin with a specified folder.
Thats great news, where did you read that?

OH~thx! twolf!
I've almost got my phone 100% the way I want it, more like 99.5%. Last thing I want to change is the slider. I don't really mean the slider and icons. I want the icons to stay the same. Most cabs will modify both slider and icons. Here is my home screen. I'm not sure what the correct nomenclature is, but the area behind my icons is a blueish color. I want to make it a two tone black/grey sort of like the top of the phone. Is it a matter of dropping some sort of image file into the manilla directory overwriting the existing one? Or is it more involved requiring replacing the icons as well? Any info or pointers on what/how I can change this would be much appreciated. I'm sure the info is out there I'm just not plugging in the right search criteria.
If it makes a difference I am running Sense 2.1

I would suggest using the "Remove Both Curtains" cab file. What this should do is make that blue hue clear - you will see the black background of your screen.
The following URL will show an image of what my 'slider bar' looks like...

It does make a difference . If you are on PPCG, chuckz07 has posted a fix using mode9 edits. Here's the link (I don't think I've posted enough here so I'm stripping the beginning part h t t p)
forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=97345
It doesn't change the icons, just the slider. The files at the beginning of the thread are for the rom you are using where you have the small slider. If you look later on you will find where I have posted a modification that allows for a wider clear slider for those roms that have/need a wider clear slider.

Awsome. This finally did the trick. The C07 transparent slider stuff i could never get to work. Also tried the Glass/Metal and the C07 fix and basic. But this one at least made the slider all black so I am happy Tab still has color but I don't mind that at all. Yay no more blue!

If you modify it in your *.cpr-file (HexagonGrid="TRUE" to HexagonGrid="FALSE"), your start menu will cease to work
I have tried some times ago, but with no luck!
ope someone could make it work!
I read somewhere that it's (nearly) impossible to do it, the script that's responsible for the hexagon layout is hidden in a DLL.
As far as I know, a reasonable compromise is if you use the folderview.exe from HTC (it's usually there if touchflo is installed).

I like the idea. It will be better if the start menu can organize by page so that same catagory of apps can group together...
i think it would be easier if it is possible, pushing the start button to open up a new program with shortcuts, similar to that. Correct me if i m wrong.
hi, i like that Start menu Grid. I'm using HTC imagio and that Start menu is in my ship rom but when i flashed a customed rom, there isnt that start menu grid anymore. Hope someone can improve that
+1
I like that idea, in fact I was asking about it in HD2 section - but no luck
I also tried to modify the .crp but no luck either.
Would be really nice to have it!
still no one ?...
I really hope a developer sees this. We see allot of start menu modifications like lists. But i havent seen this normal grid menu!
Until it's developped (if so) you all can use "iPhone Today" instead. Also it's faster/smoother than WM Startmenu.
Also, some way to scroll horizontally
I was thinking of the same idea... and with the ability to scroll horizontally...this would exactly look like the iPhone...
If this can be worked out by some expert chef.... we won't need any application to give it a iPhone like feel.....
Also, i think the earlier ROM's had horizontally aligned programs.... so its not new... just that it needs to be implemented in newer ROMs.
I am very much interested in this .....
It will be good if it can catagorize the pages (with header). With that we choose to remove the sense to save ~30m of memory.
Bump, anyone?
Definately interested in this. What I think would be better is a sense version of the start menu to totally hide the win mo look. It should look just like the program screen when you tap on a quick link to choose an ap from the program screen. Cookie should feature a cookie start menu into cookies home tab 1.81
