Hmm.. looks like the thread about stylus/ballpoint that I posted a couple of days ago got deleted/rollbacked along with the server shuffle, so I'll post it again - basically I'm looking for a magnetic stylus that has ballpoint/pen. Someone posted a link earlier but there was some mix up as to whether its a ballpoint/stylus or simply a regular one.
I looked around the net and found some made by Styra or Songtak, but not whether those are magnetic. If they are not, wouldn't they fall off the phone? Any help on this is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I've been waiting for these to come on eBay, and yes, it's there now... you can get these for $5 max.... but they don't ship to Canada and i only need 1... can anyone buy these the package of 3 and share it with me?

Its not magnetic though. I also had to gorilla glue the middle from pulling apart because it didnt stay together that well. but i love this pen now.

hey man, Thanks for the offer. I'll take it if you're getting them from eBay. the ideal price would be $3/each including shipping (that's the price I got for the stylus of my tilt)
But you have to be careful, the stylus of a Fuze is slightly different from a Touch Pro
I go one from ebay, the listing said 3X so I assumed there would be three of the stylus/pen units but there was only one! For $10 it is one expensive stylus!

Buy 3 get 1 ... Is it a magnetic one by the way? I've been asking around, and discovered that most of them aren't. Wouldn't it fall off easily without the magnets?

anyone know where to get the stylus that comes with the Touch Pro? I lost mine none of them I have found seem to look like the OEM. I'm sure they work but I would like the OEM to replace it with.

Ok How's this for a first post? Some moron managed to knock my 2 week old wizard off the desk while it was charging at work (so not in its case) and has cause a small chip in the screen (screen still works perfectly - just the outter touch panel is damaged). Since no one is owning up to doing it - and my short-sightedness in not taking out insurance on such an expensive phone, I wondered if anyone had any Idea how much T-Mobile would charge to fix this?
I'm assuming it is too late to take out insurance now, so I'm gonna have to shell out for the repair one way or the other - just wondered how much this will set me back.....

I am not sure about T-Mobile, but o2 let you take insurance out in the first 2 weeks. Look on the web and if you are too late give them a call..... ask them when you will be billed for the insurance as you cant see it on your first bill and you did ask for it when you bought the phone.
Failing that there are may 3rd party companies that will insure phones/pda's/laptops, google for it and give them a call......

[email protected]! what an unhelpful post! They are available on ebay for around £120, easy to fit, just be careful the part you buy matches the part number of the original screen - some sellers say the magician screen fits, my supplier says it doesn't.

Thanks for all your help guys - I did try calling T-Mobile about insurance saying that I though I'd selected it when I bought it online, but they wouldn't budge on letting me insure it after 2 weeks and sounded pretty sceptical from the start :?
I contacted HTC directly and they're quoting £94 to replace the screen and for shipping both ways which I guess is fairly reasonable - especially after the great suggestion of buying a new one at £200+
Just thought I'd update you incase anyone else is as unfortunate as I was.

That's actually very reasonable considering your warranty remains intact as well. Cheapest price online is now about £95 for the screen alone! HTC will only deal with t-mob/orange branded items from experence though.

I pulled my phone out of my case yesterday and it felt kinda weird to me. Took a look at the back and the battery cover was missing. Turns out I lost it at a bar the night before. A friend saw it on the ground there, but didn't realize what it was until I was asking if anyone saw it the next day.
I called the bar. They said no one turned it in and odds are it got swept up and tossed.
I called the store I bought it from. They said they can't order that piece.
I called Cingular. They say its an accessory, so its not under warranty and they dont sell them anyway.
I tried calling HTC Texas earlier, but no one answered.
Right now I have electrical tape holding the battery on. Please, please, please somebode help me.
The only thing I can think of is if you can get one from those dummy units for sale on ebay?
I think the dummy phones are all one piece. If not, I may just have to head into a cingular store and end up with the cover in my pocket somehow.

Just spoke with the people and they said they would.
I contacted HTC Europe (via www.htceurope.com contact form).
They sell the cover as well: GBP 10 incl shipping/handling to The Netherlands. You can pay by creditcard.
Just ordered one, waiting for payment details.

I just picked up one of these interesting devices at CompUSA's firesale, and it is in good condition, but for one thing - it seems like the KB was dropped and has a small dent. Now, it is totally cosmetic, but something I would like to eventually fix (cost permitting).
I have done some searching, but haven't found anything about a replacement part. Anyone have any experience with this?
I haven't seen one mention of a replacement keyboard, but replacement cases for the main unit are available online. Have you tried calling HTC?
i saw a replacement dopod k/b for 150 usd.. cant remember where, just came up through extensive googling for a replacement body

Well, thanks for the advice guys, but THC was a no-go. I called both the general support number, and the warrenty/repair number given to me by support, and came up short both ways. They flat out said they don't sell the part alone, and that she (nice lady at least) did not know where i could look. I guess i may consider the dopod version as backup; thankfully, this is a fully usable unit even without the keyboard; I will just have to be careful as it could scratch my body; something I don't want...

for the amount a replacement will cost you might be as well to send back your cosmetically damaged one and buy a new athena elsewhere.
Many of us prefer to use the device without the keyboard. Some may be willing to sell it or swap with you for a reasonable price perhaps?

Well I finally received mine and it turns out that I don't like it. Nothing wrong with it just spoiled by my IS cover. I will sell mine ( just arrived today) for what I have into it so the first $29 + shipping gets it. Payment is through paypal but I will only ship to a paypal CONFIRMED adress. PM if interested.

RebelShadow probably got it from Expansys like the rest of us. I also contemplate selling mine as I already have the Seidio case + the OEM 1800 battery that came with a different back. (not meaning to hJ the thread).
mine took nearly 2 months to get to me from Expansys so if you are looking to pick one of these up im sure this will be much much faster.
I'm am selling just the one cover and not many. I ordered it from Expansys almost 2 months ago and just received it but as I said I like the feel of my IS cover better. If someone wants the cover but does not want to wait the couple of months to receive it from Expansys here's your chance.

Not yet, I need to test the cases first.. The S9 is cut differently then the S8. I should have the phone next week and will be testing as many Cass as I can.. I'll have a guide up for it... Been in contact with the seller, whitestone can't sue them one bit lol... they are not selling in US or through a US resell channel. Their glue is also "patented" so I will see how good it is after I get my first one.

Purchased and received my dome protector today, just installed it with no problems. Im a First time user and I'm surprised how easy it went. I carnt see how they justify the price tho. And surely they could at least sell just the glass and liquid for a good price as a replacement kit is still expensive.

Whitestone has sold it for so much because no one else has had it - with the knock off coming out of china now, well, Whitetone may have to come down in price to remain competitive - I guess it all depends on the quality of the new one - and whether Whitestone does have a claim for patent infringement and even if they do if they can really do anything about it. They wouldn't be the first ones to have their product ripped off and sold cheap out of China - happens all the time - Personally, I won't buy products like that. Just on Principle. (look at the ad on Alibaba from the link that was posted - it looks exactly like the Whitestone Dome Glass.
