What happened to the planned Asian release of the WM6 Version of the Gene? Its 2008 already.

It's available (in India)... I have P3400i with WM6...

If i am not mistaken, Sakajati dumped and cooked it into his latest HyperDragon PROTEGE rom for the Kaiser

How to update:
Note. The ROM update utility requires Active sync 4.5 from microsoft. Please update ROM from windows XP (any, x64 or x86), update failed from my Windows 7 (x64), however I had to hard reset my device to perform Rom upodate. I updated my ROM for my Portege 810 (UK) successfully to Windows mobile 6.5, and this one is complete with english language. It updates like official ROM update utility package. Tested it and and worked fine, no problems at all.

The app doesn't only show the support code, but also briefly mentions that this "live" service is not available in our area (Germany).

Pity :-(

it seems that it is based on exchange servers

also if you look at the ExchangeServerMirroredMailboxes which is the exchange server address (dublin.exchangelabs.live-int.com) we see another domain name also registered by microsoft (live-int.com - live internal - after some research i found that this is the domain used to test future live services internally and i think it is inpossible to sign in there)

about SubscriptionID all i can say that this is kind of subscription based service (paid one)and this is the subsctiption number "14250010001" - might be used for coproprate clients also
after the story about the new misrosoft SKY services posted here i can understand that Outlook Live is part of the new services because of the name of WebServiceUpdateServer (http://[b]skyprime[/b]/Services/Device.svc/)
the error that we all recieve is because it is not setted up to be used outside microsoft
this is all i have found out for now

the subscription id quite looks familiar, structured
1 425 001 0001 it would be like an example seattle phone number, if i'm not mistaking. i wonder what would happen, if you changed the registry by adding your own phone number
no i suppose it actually is a subscription based service, for which you can register by the time, the service is really public and as long as everything is beta, the M$ beta testers all use the same test account set to a sample phone number with a test server, assuming that non of those beta testers leave the country while testing, it is probably not yet necessary to get that service working.
btw this opens up another question for me, does using services like this reveal the phone number, or using wlan the ip adress to M$, because i wouldn't want to tell them, i'm inofficially joining a closed beta testing, that seems risky and wrong, i mean, after the official release is there, i wouldn't have a problem with that, but now? can you compare it to pc's windows update with a bootleg version, is there a way for them to secure services like this to customers of upcoming wm6.5 phones or WGA of any kind?

well to answer your privacy question i must get it running then i can trace any packet send to microsoft

i am looking for a new german rom. Not the Amine 2.0. The rom should have the new touch flow with the many new widgets.
Does anyone know a good rom?

For me too, but the WWE Roms are great and not difficult to use!

I m also using www roms, i never wanted to wait for an old rom ..
and if someone can read this threads, I think he s able to get close with www roms.

I prefer the Germans , I'm also looking for a new rom. I have no problems with english, but it looks nicer when the rom is in German.

Of course there are german cooks out there, but not everyone
cooks roms for public demand. This is due to the fact, that if you
publish a rom you should also support it, update it, maintain bugs
and so on...

So I think we can live with this. I know Puplic demand is a lot of work. But we should do it without it. Maybe we cam made a only German speaking Thread, and give a note that the roms are shared, will not supported.

OK, you want it, you get it. Attached is RS DL link for my latest GER
ROM version. This is very, very, very alpha stage. Didn't even test it yet.
Absolutely no public support my me, and I absolutely decline all responsibility
for misflashed and bricked phones. So be sure that you are aware of these
terms and know what you are doing and how to unbrick your device if
it happens to fail after this update. Reports are welcome. This ROM is dumpable and reflashable. So feel free to modify/rerelease...
HardSPL is absolutely obligation for flashing this to be able to return to any
other ROM version.
It has no cube and no TF2D, it is meant to be naked rom with latest
drivers and WM6.1 SYS. Though Biotouch and APlauncher are still included,
there are no Biotouch registry settings included. I personally use
FingerPoint so I have no use for cube and/or TF2D

OK, so it is not barely naked, but pants only...
...coz Office is included, yes.
HTC Home is included, Task Manager, HTC Album and some stuff,
but no additional apps, such as Opera, PIM Backup, TomTom, TF2D and so on.
no Radio is included, compatible radios are 1.59.xx and 1.65.xx
You can open the .nbh file with any HTCRE to see whats inside.
As already mentioned, you can dump and recook, I share what I've done (!)
Edit: Attached you will fid a thumbnail of SYS folder

Btw, Office in german is definitely available as cab.
But...Office is definitely there. Maybe lack of it in startmenu,
but it is there. Look into windows folder to find pxl.exe (excel)
pword.exe (word), ppt.exe (powerpoint).
For ActiveSync, don't know exactly, but did you try
to disable "Erweiterte Netzwerkfunktionen aktvieren" in Einstellungen -> Verbindungen -> USB zu PC
But maybe this is due to 3.18 OEM. Should build with 3.13 OEM eventually.
Firewall on your computer may block this, too. Please check.
How much RAM do you see in Einstellungen -> Info ?
According to the HEX Patch this should read about 102MB
What System build is shown in Einstellungen -> Info ?

On your PC(s)...are there eventually old Active Sync Partnerships?
Can you try to do another Hardreset on your phone to verify it's not
a bad initialisation after flash. Searched a while now, but I found no
reason that AS could malfunction

I just wanted to chime in that I would also like a new german rom. As I actually have to rely on my phone I can't help much with testing but I would donate $20 (sorry, student....)
Is there no way to take the m-amine and work it out a bit more? Like add the newer m2d stuff and fix issues? It's a pity that cooks that have made a decent rom just seem to leave right after it has reached a stable level. That way everybody has to start from scratch again. But I guess that's only interesting for users and not for devs as it does not pose new challenges.
Right now my biggest problem is that my Vista HP notebook doesn't recognize the Bluetooth PAN for sharing Internet. Tried different drivers for the notebook already so I suspect the phone...

personally I just grabbed it should I need one for warranty ... I will continue to stick to xda-dev-custom ROMs

i just tried to install this rom on my unlocked td2 - it does not work. installer complains that this rom is not suitable for the phone.
