I'm bumping this up, because I'd also like to use Manila's native contact manager app outside of Touch Flo.

Office Mobile Cube Shortcut

The XDA Orbit2 has an Office Mobile shortcut on it's cube. Anyone figured out how to do this on the HTC touch Cruise/Polaris?

I guess I should clarify... everyone knows that you can use fexplore.exe to open a folder from the cube, the problem is that the icons are tiny and in list mode. When you launch a folder from the start menu the icons are large and easier to click on.
I would have thought that by now, some one would have figured out how the start menu opens folders and implemented it on the cube.
I have imitated the result using resco explorer along with a tweak, and it works alright. But if anyone out there has a way to do it the official way, i would prefer that...
I'm curious in this too,
but how did you manage to get yours to work that way?

Launch HTC Start menu using button

is there a program or a cab that would allow us to assign the HTC Manila 3d Start menu to any hardware button?
i tried using AEButton plus but it only launches the default old windows mobile 6.1 drop down start menu..
i've tried everything from using manila.exe --switchtopage to searching the entire registry for clues but i can't find a path or attribute command that can be used in a LNK file to create a shortcut path to the HTC/Manila start menu..
i tried searching the threads too and got zilch for 2 days now..

how to toggle (bring it up to screen and hide) it using hardware buttons..
the only solution i can find is to make a mortscript that would send a mouseclick at coordinates 1,1 to enable a start menu tap.. but that doenst work when you are on full screen (i.e. opera, powerpoint mobile, etc.)..
anyone has better ideas?

You can bring the todayscreen in front I think
Code:
Show ("Desktop")
There is also an other command :
Code:
SendSpecial ("win")

[wm6.5] How to add shortcut on today's screen

I am new to wm 6.5 and really like the default today's screen on wm6.5. The only thing I wish to know is, if it's possible to add new shortcut in the menu.
From the menu i have a picture tab and can browse the gallery. Same for the Songs. But how can I add a tab (e.g Programs) where i can browse my favorite programs. No need to do Start, and scroll to find the program.
After some google search, I found a home screen customizer but it allows me only to remove unnecessary tab on the default today screen.
Thanks a lot for your tips.
cheers

Some little questions

Hi,
I've just purchased a HTC Leo, and i've some questions because some features of my old HTC Diamond 2 aren't here anymore... And i want them back
First of all, i want the little arrow in the up right corner of the screen, that allow to see open applications and close them. How to get it back?
Then, i noticed that the SMS manager is now a custom HTC menu, and i want the old SMS "outlook" back. How to do?
I want be able to access to the Windows setings old menu too, not the HTC one.
Is there any registry tweak or application for change these features?
Please help me, because i am dissapointed and about to sell my Leo and use again my Diamond 2...

Did you use search? These questions have been asked (and mostly answered) before, and can be easily found around here.
First of all, i want the little arrow in the up right corner of the screen, that allow to see open applications and close them. How to get it back?
-> 7. Get the old Task Manager Back (works great)
Then, i noticed that the SMS manager is now a custom HTC menu, and i want the old SMS "outlook" back. How to do?
Last post in this thread sounds promising.
I want be able to access to the Windows setings old menu too, not the HTC one.
From HTC settings tab, right softkey 'Menu' -> 'All Settings'.
Thanks for your answer.
I noticed that i don't have the Windows calandar anymore, but only the HTC one, wich i really hate.
Ive make a shortcut in "Programs" folder, for "calandar.exe" and it works fine, but the shortcut don't have icon, and is ugly...
How can i put the calandar icon to this shortcut?

Easy! Sell your HD2, put your SIM Card back in your Diamond2 and that's it!

You can go to Start->OutLook->Calendar (This is the regular windows calendar)
Or - with htc-sense - you can add a shortcut to the "Today" page (Where the clock is) by tapping an empty link place, and selecting the calendar from the list of suggested programs.
Enjoy

[Q] Customize Manila Sense 2.1 contacts tab

Hey experst,
I know, this ap is not the newest, but I want to use my blackstone for some days more, so here is my question:
how can I customize the slider tabs, for example I want to use Resco Contact manager instead of the standard contacts. Is it possible by tapping "contacts"-tab to get Resco contacts be started?
I'm using Blackstone wm 6.1 original HTC-Rom.
have tried this SSMaHo but can not "assigner mode" so is there any other possibility (changing registry )?
thx in advance!
