So, you see three pins, wich in red round on the picture
Where else can i found them on the scheme?
They are damaged on my magican, so to connect it to computer, i need to find them somewhere else.
buy a new miniUSB-connector at any electronic-shop and replace the whole connector as the pins are not removeable (or not easy without damaging the connector)

OK, I'm a ****.
Just came to remove my audio daughter board off my M500 to solder up the dodgy joints on it, and the whole bloody connector came off. I've removed the connector from the daughter board, but when attempting to resolder it, I managed to break the connector
So, I need a source of the little rectangular PCB connector (14 way, DIL) that attaches the ADB to the main board, so I can have another go Anyone know a source in the UK preferably?
Cheers

I'm starting to have real problems with my USB plug. At first it would drop charger plugs when it was on the wall, so I put it upside down. But now I can't connect to the PC all the time either. I have to jiggle the plug a bit or even breathe down in it (the moist makes the connection better). Has anybody else had that problem and fixed it in any way? I suppose the plug is soldered on in such a way that it has to go to a workshop, right?
i strongly suggest you to send it for repair or resolder the base of the connection(this is user servicable provided you have some soldering skills) so it doesnt wiggle. i'd probly even suggest to hotglue the plug but before you do so make sure the plug is sitted properly and it does sync
the same thing happened to me and with a bit of jiggle the plug broke off and now its permenently damaged(ie it will never sync via USB again) so far with self repair i only manage to make it charge
i got no idea how to reattach a 10pin mini USB plug to my board and some of the copper tracks looks damaged which means if i send it to the shops, its a $500 repair and a board swap
I have one HTC Elf, and the mini-usb connector was damaged... I tried to open the cellphone to fix it, but I couldn't make a way to solder it correctly.
I was thinking of wiring the connector directly to the board, instead of soldering in it, but the copper trails in the region were damaged, and I can't follow to where they go in the circuit.
Do anyone have the schematic of this part of the phone?
A high-quality picture of the region of the mini-usb connector would be perfect too!
Thanks,
Rafael
I have here an rw6815 the usb connector is completly off.
But the Rest is complete intact.
So i repair it as i can.
I solder the connector by the 4 sideholders again.
And i fix the Power connectors.
mean USB5Volt and Ground.
The only thing that i now need to fix are the USB Signals Data+ and Data-.
Someone an idea to find the signals in the near of the connector ?
I dont can test becouse there is no rest of the line.
And HP makes good work in the circuit board i donĀ“t can follow the lines by holding a lamp so it shines through
And heres no XRaytub laying around but i think si sold wish me one by Santa at next Christmas
Hi folks. A friend gave me his phone after he dropped it in water, and then tried to fix it himself.
The connector on the motherboard has been pried, so half of its cover is missing and some pins are tangled up inside.
I'm guessing about 4 pins are mucked up; the rest are fine. But the phone will not power on..
I'll try to include some pictures.. Any ideas how to proceed? I thought about soldering tiny connections from the MB to the ribbon connector.
Replacing the connector seems equally difficult due to the number of unsoldering/soldering to do..
Any ideas what to do?
PS: Forum attachment limit is silly; I'll link to external images on my server instead..
Check the pins of the connector that has an "MB" label on it:
