Hy I need to know if there is any tool o soft to make posible offline youtube videos .
Thx for info
i use always Opera-Mobile; open in a second tab keepvid.com and download there the .flv or .mp4 file of the vid
Works great for me and no need to install any other software. Maybe Coreplayer or something similar to play the .flv or .mp4 files.
+1 for keepvid. Allows you to get it in any format and even just the audio. You can trim the vid as well.

Hello
When trying to watch captured videos from my MDA II / XDA II (.mp4) I don't get an image and no sound. So which codec I must install to watch these videos?

this is what google had to say about that
On the PC, Microsoft Media player doesn't suport MP4. You need to download a MP4 compatable player, such as quicktime.
I've tried various MP4 codec plugins for Media Player, but haven't managed to get any to work with native MP4 files yet.
re
I have not managed to get anything to play the vid files produced by xda 2 with anything but the latest version of Quicktime.
There must be some other vid players out there ?
Cheers, shire
I did try it is success but still I cannot view the Video in a full size screen.
I am looking for a better one.
I found some other application calling "am player" and "explainer" by searching through inter net but as per described it is not supporting the MP4 or it need some updating .If any body found a better way pls inform me

MP4 Coded
I use a product called EnvivioTV. It is a standalone app as well as plugin for WMP. So Mp4 video can be viewed in EnvivioTV app as well as in Windows Media. I downloaded version 1.5 from download.com. The file is EnvivioTV.exe
Thanx for your replies, but I did not manage to get Sound with Quicktime Player - Video works, but no sound! This other Plugin EnvivioTV even doesn't work - Media Player rejects to play the files although it defenitely accepts the files...
Any solution?
Thanks for the tip chioque, EnvivioTV works well.
Is it possible to view videos on an mda vario 2 from the yourtube website ? If so what software do i have to do download to view thanks

Give us a clue, what tools?
Have a look at http://www.videodl.org/ it lets you download the file and points you in the direction of tools to convert them.
Doesn't vlc play flvs?
V
youtube downloading
VLC is great for nearly everything however i couldn't get it to open .flv files. But
Total Video player does and so does FLV player 1.3.3.
If you key the question into google "How to download videos from youtube ?" you get various results.I use the mozilla firefox browser ,with the greasemonkey plugin, then when on you tube a red box appears at the top of the video page via which you can right click the save-as link. You need to change the file name that you save to something like beatles.flv, madonna.flv etc.
try these links:
http://www.hiphopmusic.com/best_of_youtube/2006/02/how_to_download_and_save_youtu.html
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390/
Most of the conversion programs seem to be commercial only at the moment ,but most have a trial period of about 15 days.To date I have managed to download some of my old favourite vids of the 80s and transfer to imate jam!!!
Good luck guys , its all Do-able.
Youtube Without Downloading Videos
http://discussion.wmexperts.com/showthread.php?t=148801
full youtube access without downloading the flv files separatly...
ytpocket.com
works great for me. It proxies the youtube videos for you.
Just need tcmp and flash video bundle installed, then go to ytpocket.com
Streams them so you do not have to download the whole file just to view.
With this site, you put in the address of the youtube video you want then it generates a .flv file which you can rename and save to your memory card on your phone (any site that uses this format will work). Then you can use TCPMP to view it directly, flv files are really small and this method works great.
I got Tool Sober as my first try and it looks good.

Why not use the Flashvideo bundle along with TCPMP to play videos?
This is integrated into PIE after you install the software and you can view and save videos with out using another website.
does this work for non youtube flv files too?

This is for rapid download and save, through a PC, ultimately so you can have them in a folder for offline viewing. Flashvideo is great for watching when you have a data connection, but there are times I don't want to fool with it, like at the gym on the treadmill.
I like to have music videos playing in my car through my stereo and this is the best method that I can think of for downloading them in batches to my phone for later viewing.
METHOD #2: Open youtube or any other site with the .flv ending and allow it to buffer fully. Then go into your temp file and resave that file what you want with a .flv ending. Save that to your storage card and boom, music videos on the go (without a data connection of course).
ok, i have tried dozens of codec packs and cannot get videos recordrd from my hermes to play on my pc. i have found how to get the video but cannot get sound at all... can anyone point me to what i need? thanks in advance.
also i am running CRC's rom version 12r9. not quite sure how to find the camera software version though...
**edit**
here is a link to a test file i just created, somehow i need to find out how to play the sound..

i had success playing all mp4 files using quicktime
i had the exact same problem. any video i transferred to my pc would not play. quicktime would play 3gp files, but not mp4. no other software would play my mp4 files except for vlc player. i'm assuming it's an error in my windows installation or registry. i'm gonna transfer a couple vids to one of my laptops and see if they play on there. then i'll know whether or not it's due to my windows installation. if they play on laptop, i'll do a clean install of xp and see if they play.
Super will play them as well as the newest realplayer....
Hi
Why u not try Ultimate Media Pack or Classic Media Player? U can get this soft on www.9down.com
download quicktime OR download and install this then you can play the vids in wmp on your pc
http://www.free-codecs.com/mpegable_DS_decoder_download.htm
I had the same problem, I just rename the video files from .mp4 to .3gp on my computer and it plays them just fine.
anybody know if there`s a program to convert avi video file to a file that plays on topaz? i want to watch movies on my phone tried videora but cant seem to get it to work. a nice easy one would be great, a beginners one maybe?.... if there is such a thing!!!

thanks for that but same thing happened as with videora, it says "the file may be copied for storage or transport use only. it is not supported for use on the device". i converted it to mp4. think it might be to do with the video file itself i`m converting, its off a torrent. also when playing it through windows media player on my computer it says: "the selected file has an extension (.mp4) that is not recognised by windows media player, do you want to try anyway" an when playing the file the sound is there but no picture. do you need codecs for mobiles??? because when 1st playing the original file on my computer before converting it for my phone, same thing happened and i had to download codecs to watch it.
anyway thanks for your reply

Videora (TD2 Version) works perfectly for me...
Can you play back the original file on your PC?
And the converted one?
TCMP
Tcmp is your solution !
If you do a little search of this forum you may find a version of tcmp supporting the srt files.
With tcmp, you don't need to convert your avi files. It run pretty well in full screen with 700 mb divx files on my topaz.
use pocketdivxenc
Hi everyone,
I use this http://www.pocketdivxencoder.net/EN_index.htm on my topaz and it's incredible....try it.

thanks for this, will the files play on windows media player on my phone when i`v used this or do i need a different player?
Usually Divx/Xvid..files for PC have an exagerated bitrate for PPC use, that is why it is wise to convert them.
Here's my technique:
1) convert original divx/xvid file with HTC Touch HD Video Converter, available here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=467112
2) Copy resulting .mp4 file to SD
3) Play with HTC Album
Note: Coreplayer can play this file aswell, but I think that htc album playback is smoother.
Unfortunately HTC Touch HD Video Converter doesn't rip dvd, can anyone suggest some all-in-one application to easily make divx?
