Can MDA Vario be flashed from SD-Card?

Hello,
I have flashed my MDA Vario with a WM6 rom dutch witch worked fine. After i changed my pagepool to 6 MB and soft rebooted my MDA, it stared, but without phone functionalty. every program i try to start it gives me the message that it has no memmory to start the program.
No activesync connection (or any other connection) can be established. I have found some articles on flashing xda pda's from sd card. But in these articles they talk about .NBH files. The only file i can find in the update util is an .NBF file. Can anyone help me solving this issue?

Can you get into bootloader mode (tricolor RGB bands)? ("Get your phone in bootloader mode by doing this: Phone powered off, press Camera button + Power On, will enter into bootloader mode (RGB screen").
Once in bootloader mode you can reflash even though activesync says not connected - just look for little USB in corner of screen.

I have tryed it just a minute ago. I can enter the boot loader but the flashing fails at starting with the message "This update utility cannot be used for your PDA Phone. Please get newer update utility". I have used the same flash tool as the rom image witch is now on the MDA.

Sounds more like CID locked after flashing the last ROM was flashed....cant u even flash any other wm6 ROM?

You should flash the original T. Mobile ROM from bootloader it should work. After you have the original running you can then re-flash WM6 using shelltool if your phone is CID locked. Try it and lets see how it goes.

You people are the greatest. I have tryed to flash my MDA Vario with the latest rom from t-mobile and now i have a fully functional mda again. BIG TNX for helping!!!

Stuck in bootloader...

I am afraid my Polaris bricked, but I hope somebody knows a solution. Let me explain:
I turned off my device to get my microsd card out. I put the card in my cardreader to fill it with a lot of music. After that I inserted the card in the polaris, turned on the pda, and I got into the bootloader screen .
I tried to soft reset: bootloader screen again, tried to hard reset: bootloader, tried to flash original rom: rom update complete and after that bootloader, tried to flash several cooked roms: rom update complete and again the bootloader. When I try to charge my polaris it automatically turns on and goes to the bootloader. Flashing with microsd doesn't work. I also tried the thing with mtty, but it doesn't show the usb option in the list...
I DID hard-spl, I was using udk diamond R8 and never had any trouble before, while flashing about once a 2 months. I really am desperate, because I am unable to charge the pda now. I searched well and I only found threads of people who forgot to hard-spl before flashing custom roms.
I hope someone comes up with a brilliant idea, I love my Polaris way too much working and I don't want it to be a nice looking pda that doesn't work anymore.

I now manage to get into the mtty application, but I don't know if it is a good idea to use it. The problems I found here which could be solved with mtty are different from my problem I think. What would be wise to do? I flashed various original roms, and radios. That seems to work as normal, but after flashing I keep returning in the bootloader screen .
I hope one of you has an idea what to do. If it is something that is involving risk, I think I should do it anyway, because in this current state my Polaris is useless.

a few ideas! maybe they can help!
1) do you have warranty? you can restore back to original spl and then get HTC to ix it!
2) Try flashing your phone without the MicroSD card in place, maybe with the stock HTC Rom

Another option - try to delete all files from your memory card.

I read the thread about restoring back to original spl. There is stated that you can't restore to original spl if you are stuck in bootloader...

I tried a lot of times, but every time after flashing has finished, I return to the bootloader
Another option - try to delete all files from your memory card.
I formatted my memory card in fat32, tried to flash with sd-card. When I turn on the phone it shows about 0.5 seconds something like "no rom image" and returns to bootloader screen
My cruise is still stuck, and I really think about trying things in mtty as a last resort... Anybody who knows what commands I should give in mtty in this situation? All help is appreciated, and if a suggestion makes my polaris work again I will donate the brilliant xda-member 20 euro's!

I have the same fault and have not found a solution. Every time I soft reset I am stuck in the boot loader screen. If I switch off the phone using comm manager then soft reset the phone will boot okay.
The only method I have found to be able to boot properly is to leave the battery out overnight and then start the phone in the morning. Always boots without a problem this way.
To make matters worse the USB port on my phone is broken...

Trinity stuck in boot-loader mode after bad flashing , pls help

I have the msn account:[email protected] .Once again,just to make the resume of the whole story if I remember well:The trinity was with the initial sfr 300+ software(wm5);I installed the oli1.20 flashed it with some other ROM software,did not like it and returned to the original one.Then I tried to flash it with the ROM software where all went wrong...After 1 % the screen went blank and all I can do with the device is to put it into the boot-loader mode where it says:
TRIN100
IPL-0.50
TRIN100
SPL-1.07.0000
When I extracted the file,I discovered that it has 2 nbh-files.I think that is the reason of my defete.Afterwords I have tried all sorts of the first aid solutions : splxploit-windows cannot connect to the device;it says that there is no WCEUS-file and therefore it cannot continue.I have tried to re-flash it through the sd-card:I re-formatted the card on fat32,without any name,put the original ROM and tried to let it boot that way.No success,it marks:loading ... and after 3-4 secs it returns into the boot-loader mode with the same message mentioned above ...

sir me too have same probelems, but ma 2 htc trinity dnt stuck at bootloaders, its to to operator logo and stuck there, i have 2 phones with this probelem.
please help me to solve this probelem sir.

1: Boot into BL (camera + power + reset hole)
2: Download the GPS enabled ROM from HTC Support, NOT from a rapidshare/megaupload/4shared etc.. mirror.
3. Flash the ROM, but use the hardspl flasher.(For some reason, it doesn't go error 270 if I use this flasher).
4. Hard Reset again.

I have a HTC P3600 and after i make a hard reset the screen goes all black, i already try flash the phone but don't result.
If i try to make a hard reset again the screen shows "press ok to make hard reset" after that goes black again.and its completing %100 but when i want restart its still doesnt work just black screen. just working light =(
So i think not display problem.

Any chance of sharing the solution, guys, my SPV M700 has similar problems. I tried to flash it with the TRIN-SSPL rom, but it kept saying I need a newer version of the update software.
Now all I have is it gets stuck on the green Windows load up screen and when I reset (Camera-PWR Button-Reset) it goes onto the bootloader tri-color screen, similar to what Goranchen had on his. What do I do now, I would really like to use the phone on another network, and I have looked after it really well, I think, so would be a shame to throw it away. Please help!!

imate jasjam error flashing pls help

hi anyone pls help,
i have one imate jasjam, the initial problem is i done a hard reset and the phone reboot and it wont finish running the customise application installation, after that the phone cant detect network, i had run a hard spl into the phone and then try to flash a rom that i download from forum but it only run 11% then stop then i realise that the rom i flash is for htc jasjam not imate jasjam, now my phone can only stay at the boot loader mode, i also try different rom but no luck so i think i ask for your help
here is my device details at the boot loader mode
IPL-1.04
SPL-2.10.01ipro
before i flash it i also cant find any radio rom version in this phone so i guess the radio rom also missing or what just not sure....
i think i flash the htc jasjam wrong model rom even now i flash back the original JASJAM_WWE_1.20.305.3_1.20.305.104_1.07.03.10_ship this error message come out "ERROR [260]: update error" and it ask me to check my usb connection.
i search the forum and few member advice me to use mtty and i did tried that many time it didnt work, another member advice me to use this method "Formate yr memorycard & Unzip attached file in your memorycard named Hermimg.nbh & put yr cell in boot mode & follow screen instructions..........this illl boot yr celll out to boot mode......... " i tried that but the phone always stay at boot mode and no other instructions came out at all so im really lost and just hoping somebody can help me solve this problem...
can anyone pls guide me step by step of how to flash this phone back to normal, your help is much appreciated, many thanks.

Hi, i had the same problem flashing from the SD card. Are you using Vista or Windows7? I tried with Vista Format card, drag and drop renamed image onto sd card. Stuck it in the phone, reset and like you say hangs on bootloader. Then i tried the same thing from my Windows XP laptop, exactly the same format, rename drag and drop and everything works fine. Hope this helps

G'day, I've only really been reading about roms and these phones for only a few hours but I'm pretty sure that htc jasjam and imate jasjam are one and the same phone i think the said rom are used with all hermes type phones..

My HTC Universal is almost dead
I had Tomal v12 ROM, tried to install Almost2 ROM, but it stuck on Splash screen , after reflashing several other ROMs problem remained there. also tried MTTY app and enter to bootload and flushed Tomal rom again.
bottom result. now i can't see any thing on my screen , even i cant enter to BootLoader screen by pressing keys.
Screen is totaly black at moment and usb connected to it does not recoginize it as valid device.
Please help me how to come out from this.. and get back my device back working.
how can i enter to bootloader from sd card.?
any help would be appericiated.
