I was trying to hard-spl or whatever, using the micro-sd method but all it does when the update bar is full, the screen goes blank then comes back to the rainbow colored screen and it updates over again. this goes on and on and i dont know how to stop it. plz help!!!!!!!!!!!!

remove sd card and check your spl version make sure it is olinex.if it is olinex spl that meas your hard spl was successful.so leave the device rainbow screen connect to pc and flash with whatever rom you wanted.good luck.

i dont know what went wrong at all... i was following this thread on the live messenger contacts fix..

installed... and the program asked me to restart the phone... so i did... and thats when it wouldnt come back on...

i cant seem to do any of those 3 ways.. i think im doing something wrong....
i managed to get the bootloader screen... but i dont know how to get my active sync to recognize the phone...
and i will give the SD car option... once i find out a way to clear the card... my phone was the only mini sd card reader i had.

If you can get to the bootloader screen, the RUU doesn't NEED Activesync to work. But you must see the little 'USB' text in the bottom left corner of the bootloader screen. If that comes on when you plug in the USB, you're ready to-flash a ROM. If at all possible, reflash an official ROM, then proceed to your flavor-of-the-month WM6 ROM.
Word of advice, charge the battery up overnight.

joihan777 is absolutely right,as far as u can get into bootloader mode, nothing to worry. Just do as he advised. u don't need Active syn,when in bootloader,it automatically gets disconnected.just make sure u have attached usb cable and c a usb icon at the bottom of the bootloader screen.Flash official Rom if u have it with u or flash the T-mobile 2.26 rom.It will be alright.than upgrade to any rom of ur choice,Goodluck
i still have problems updating my P3300 to touchflow...
i use USPL to get rid of the CID....count goes up to 100% screen shows black with green text, then pops to white. I need to do a soft reset to get it running again.
Then i use ROM Update Utility to update my p3300....and it still keeps hanging on 3%....damn. i get mad...!! Have read almost all here online...no virusscanner, no firewall....I use win XP.
i even tryed without memory card and phone card....and nothing seems to work.......

My phone is stuck on HTC SMART MOBILITY black screen, the one that appears right away when u turn ur phone on. I was trying to upgrade the new rom and it said everythin was finished and it restarted the phone by itself then it got stuck in this screen. The thing is that the USB it is not recognize either by the computer or phone so i cannot do anything with the computer in order to boot up. I tried hard resets and nothin. Any help or ideas welcome... thanks
have you tried using bootloader mode? if I'm not mistaken, you need to hold the Power and Camera buttons while resetting the phone. you could then try to flash a new ROM on the phone. hope it helps!
miguel is correct. Put it into bootloader mode like he said, then flash a ROM back onto it and you should be good to go. This happened to me last night and I freaked out a little bit, but everything was fine after I did this.
Help, I'm stuck too. My phone is now in a loop of the black HTC smart mobility screen. I entered bootloader menu and reflashed the 2.17 ROM. -Which completed to 100% and no luck. I've tried this twice. I've entered the bootloader and tried to flash the stock ROM. It finished, but has no radio? What shold I do, Please help!!!
I must also mention that I was in the middle of relocking the phone after I installed the leaked ROM when my computer got the BSOD.
Format a sd card to fat32, place the image on the sd card, name it TITAIMG.nbh and reset to BL it will auto flash the rom and works when this happens

not exactly, the .exe file is simple an auto extracting archive, if you extract it, you will get a bunch of files, one which is about 40-60MB in size and that ends in a .nbh extension, that's the one you need.

What radio are you using? Did flashing from the SD downgrade the radio as well?

I'm pretty sure that it did. When I tried to downgrade to 2.17, the flash worked, but there was no Radio at all. So I tried to reflash the 3.16 and it flashed but didn't work (endless boot to the HTC Screen over and over)
So I tried the SD card method or flashing back to the 2.17 and it worked absolutely perfectly. The only issue was that there was no MSID or MDN but I wrote those down.

i have the same problem with smart mobility i bought the phone htc touch from e-bay (gray coulor) and i its didnt work from the begining and the problem is that i dont know what originaly rom it had.
i try to flash rom from the computer(vista) roms (blue, green, new blue,red, 1.11.707.1b_4mb ,e_1.11.707.1b_4mb _4.1.13.42, 1.1b_4.1.12.42_02.93.90_ship,) none of them work some of them update till 3% and some of them till 100% but very fast and then its reset and i get error 270

turn on your device, remove and replace the batteries then go to boot loader mode ( hold the Power and Camera buttons ) you immediately install the rom upgradeshttp !!! You can download it at ://www.htc.com/www/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=10&cat=0&dl_id=609 good luck

i am having htc p3400 i tried upgrading wm6.5 on it while installing it it shows congrats........ you have updated your rom but when it restart it only shows smat mobility nothing can be done further i tried it many times same problem occurs
one of us advised me to use the memory card techn...to place the image named TITAIMG.nbh but it doesn't solve my issue can any one provide me proper way to solve it

Did you try a reset? If you're where I think you are this should do it.
Hard reset? (Remember you'll lose your data if you do this).
Yep i tried to do that...I dont care if the data is lost....but it would turn off then like after 5 seconds it would turn with the same problem....
I was traying again and the screen would go off then it would go white saying "searching for sd port" something like that and then it would go to the 3 colors again...I dont know if it helps but in the red color line appears: IPL 4. 10. 0002 and SPL 4. 10. 0000<-----this one in yellow
You're in the boot screen... Download the official RUU and run it from your pc through active sy.nc. It should fix it

Hey guys I have a hd2 that wont boot up anymore. I have installed several windows 6.5 cooked roms into this device for a while now. Recently this device has been given me a lot of problems until finally it took a dump. Now everytime i power up the device it stays in the splash screen. It doesnt even show radio version, rom version,etc on the bottom left of the screen. So is this hd2 dead or is there some way that i can fix it. I even tried installing tmobile's official rom on this device by going into the "rainbow screen" so that the device can be seen by using the usb cable, but alas....it didnt work either. So any help would be appreciated .
If it doesn't install, and nothing installs, then you need to take it to repair I guess.
I had a feeling about that. I just figured there was no way to fix it and the fact that i couldnt send it back to tmobile to get a replacement was out of the question since the firmware was modified. But your saying there are shops that fix these kinds of issues? If so, I better start looking around over here.

why dont you try sd card method for flashing your rom !1! you can pm me if you need further help
Do you mean that it can't get to the boot loader screen (rainbow) or that trying to install a ROM from there didn't work? You might want to flash the original HSPL too, just to check.
What I mean is that everytime I boot up the hd2 it stays stuck on the splash screen. It doesn't even show the rom information in red at the bottom left corner of the screen. But I can boot to the tri color menu though. I have tried to install the tmous official rom by plugging the USB when I'm in the tri color menu and it always stays stuck at 9%. So is there way to fix this or am I screwed.

Well my bro... i think thats nand problems or heating issues ... does flashing rom goes all ok or it stops during flashing ? if stops than check if you phone is hot - hotter than normal.
Try this : Take out battery, memory card, sim card and put you phone in the fridge for about 5-10 min ( dont worry tried many times... no harm ) meanwhile prepare your sd card to flash rom with sd card method ... to do that extract Ruu rom - stock one - download with hd2 serial nr ( winrar, 7zip etc) find Ruu_Signed.nbh rename it to LEOIMG.nbh than copy to sd card ( format you sd card fat32 and make sure it works ... 2gb will work ) take phone out from fridge put sd card & battery into phone power one phone while holding volume down key ( go into tricolor screen - bootloader) and follow procedure in phone... i hope everything goes well and you fix you phone... but if still no success than flash android or wp7 ( if you have warranty flash stock SPL and return phone).
