this one also very good but wmminibattery gives you more details when you touch battery bar.cheers.

I personaly prefer xmatrix_batteryMemoryMeter this is very good for quick info about main battery and memory status...

Well, if my understanding's correct, VistaHide Battery Gauge's the bare minimum, with just the battery indicator, while xmatrix_BatteryMemoryMeter (dciBatery) has an additional bar for program memory. wmminibattery is similar to VistaHide Battery Gauge, but tapping the bar will show more information about the battery status. Based on this, I'd go for wmminibattery.

want more bars
Looking for something like this with more bars. More than dci battery and qwerty memory. Is it possible to have 4 bars? 2 above and below the task bar like dci... and 2 above and below the softkey bar? Want each to show something different like all the choices battclock gives you. battery charge, temp, voltage, memory, cpu. Is there anything like this? Can anyone develop anything like this?

Android battery meter inaccurate.

Does anyone else have this problem? My phone will shut down from low battery, but if I reboot it back to windows mobile, it will last the rest of the day off battery power.
I have a third party extended battery, if that makes a difference.
I don't think the current battery level is being measured/reported properly.
I personally haven't had that problem. I wouldn't think having a third party battery would make a difference. As far as I know, the Phone OS has no way of distinguishing a third party battery from an OEM one. But I would agree that it's not measuring your battery level properly.
What build of Android are you using?

Yeah, what he said. The battery driver in our Vogue Android kernel is a hack-job, not an official driver. dzo did what he could to make it as accurate as possible with the Vogue's factory battery, so I can promise you that it will not read an extended battery properly.
I don't know if it will help, but the best battery usage I've noticed has been with Zenulator's xROM build. My phone easily gets over 24 hours with background data and auto-sync enabled.
yes the battery meter is always wrong in android.

It's actually fairly accurate on the vogue with a standard battery. I can't speak for Polaris or Kaiser users... but when my Android reaches zero battery, the phone will reboot into windows, where i promptly get a "low battery" error, and maybe half an hour longer of battery usage. Not perfect, but pretty close.

should of said it's wrong on my vogue!
Where is the code for the battery located? Maybe I can tweak it a bit to match my battery. Either that, or is there a way to disable the automatic shutdown when the battery gets low? I suppose if there isn't, I can hack the battery detection to just report 100% all the time.

What widget shows Date in Text

Maybe its a widget or maybe its a part of someones ROM, but the clean look home screens that show a time in words is what I am looking for, and the battery percentage as well that shows the battery percentage in words, no graphics.

Battery Question

Hey ive been looking around but cant seem to find some info I need. I keep seeing people posting about how much battery their builds are using. Just curious is it a app that shows that info or is it android itself?
Just want to be able to see which build gives me the best battery life. Thanks for the help.
It is a widget from the android market called currentWidget
install it .. then add it to ur home screen, it w'll shows u a live battery usage measured by mA
About the battery life and other cool stuff...I highly recommend HD2ONE 0.3.6 [SD] .. It is the most stable BUILD, I've been using it for more than 3 weeks under a daily-use basis with out any problem
Also Battery Monitor Widget is another program.
Not as simple as Current Widget but it has graphs and a few extra bits.
3mA or less while in standby is good consumption.

Battery moniter?

Can someone recomend a good moniter for the battery. My battery seems to die really fast the past couple days and the stock battery screen doesn't seem to be very different than when I first got it.
I'm looking for something that showss me stats, not something that tries to conserve power automatically.

There's an app in the desire forum, circle battery mod for non-root users (it shows up on the left portion of your status bar) It works well if all you want is a true number reading.
If you want statistics for what's killing your battery, the Spare Parts app has the best output I've seen.
Battstatt is very nice. There's a free version, and a paid version.
A less convenient, definitely free method: Dial *#*#4636#*#*. This will bring up the Testing screen. From there you can go under Battery information and see a bunch of information about... the battery! Including percentage, time since boot, temperature, ...
Battery Indicator free is in the market and doesnt use any battery while running. Everything else I tried used a little battery up. I use the circular battery version that smoothtaste is talking about and its awesome. It is based off of battery indicator but cant be found on the market anymore. I have the APK but not sure if I can upload it even though its freeware. If its allowed I can get your a copy of it.
Edit: Here you go
You can download juice plotter and it graphs battery drainage over time.
I went from battery indicator pro to battery notif. Smaller size and same icon in notification bar but doesn't give much in the way of stats.
Plus I can see the battery level without unlocking the phone.

I also use that, it doesn't seem to hurt my battery any. The free version is ok, but I opted for the paid version and haven't been disappointed.

[CLOCK] [WIP] - Multi-purpose Clock Widget

Hey guys! This is my first zooper widget, and is still a work-in-progress, but I thought I'd see what the community thought so far.
The way it works, is that the centre digit is the hour, and the filled in portion of the surrounding ring is the minutes.
From the bottom, around the edges, there are two additional indicators. The left being your current battery life and the right being your cellular signal strength.
The widget's entire appearance changes at 30% battery life remaining, and again at 15%, clearly indicating that you should probably consider plugging your phone in soon.
Next up is going to be the addition of some sort of charging indicator. I'm thinking about a pulse that goes around the edges where the battery life / GSM strength is, and maybe changing the colour of the digit.
What do you guys think?
Neat idea, I think the charging indicator will make it look better as well. I will try it out.
Great concept! Keep going.
Sent from the depths of a stock s4!
I like it a lot. Maybe I'd change the font but that's personal. Great stuff!
