Software version

How can I tell the version of my XDA Mini S' ROM/firmware, and how do I know if this is the latest?
Also my device says in About that it has Windows Mobile 5.1.195 (build 14847.2.0.0). Again, how do I know if this is up-to-date and how do I update both if not?

The latest Windows Mobile build is 5.1.195 (Build 14928.2.2.0)
There are some higher beta versions, but I believe this to be the latest official release.
You can check your ROM version in:
Settings -> System -> Device Information.
You'd have to contact your manufactuer or look it up online to find out if you have their latest ROM version or not.

How do I get the newer build of Windows Mobile?

Thats the latest release from O2.
I don't know if the other ones vary, but I would say thats as high as you could go at the minute.
When o2 release another, its easy to upgrade anyway.

Reading AKU version

Could someone please advise me how I can establish what version of AKU I have on my TyTN? I sure I saw a post by pof in the past but can't find it now.

Go to Start > Settings > System > About
Go to the Version tab.
The second line should read something like this...
OS 5.1.195 (Build 14955.2.3.0)
You need to look at the part I've highlighted in red to find the AKU version. In my case, it's AKU 2.3

Thank you very much for the information. I did not realize it was that easy.
I see I have an AKU 3.3 version on my TyTN.
The A2DP bluetooth stack is now 100%

PS: This thread started as a question and now after running the updated version successfully on my diamond, I have changed the title of the thread.

It works on the diamond....

HTC Touch Diamond (India)
ROM version: 1.93.720.2 WWE
Radio Version: 1.00.25.07
Protocol Version: 52.29.25.12G
Any reasons why it doesn't work in my case? I installed it on internal storage.

works on my diamond too.... not sure why you're having problems... could be .net compact...... have you got it on your phone??

I also have problems with the prog. I tried the new version on my diamond and still get the error with the invalid rectangles. I'm using WinMo 6.1.

I installed it on internal storage and on device but nothing worked.

if i upgrade my rom to 1.93, will i be able to run vodafone sim card?

I think you should be able to. Once unlocked, it shouldn't create any problems. If you still face any issue, you can always go back to old ROM and then jailbreak again.

I have a HTC P3350. Its an ARTE 300 Series with the following specs
ROM Version: 3.17.720.3 WWE
ROM date: 21/01/08
Radio Version: 02.94.90
Protocol Version: 4.1.13.44
Ext Rom Version: 3.17.720.103
off late, My phone keeps hanging and also switches off on its own. I have been trying to find the right firmware upgrade but have been unable to do so.
I want to know if
1. There are any upgrades available to rectify the problem above?
2. Can I upgrade to windows 6.5 or Android on my phone?
3. Why is there no Voice recording function on this phone!
4. Can I get the interface of Touch on this phone??
5. Where can I get themes and Applications for this phone.
Just a few things I need help with. Look forward to your assistance folks. Thanks

Now things have gotten even worse...
My phone just conked off and I cannot start it at all. Whats worse...everytime it tries to start up, the screen turns black!
My phone is only 1 year old

That means - ultrashot made a package set for full unlock. From scratch. Just a tip for the community - debug stock roms contain all necessary libs for developing full unlock

Mate, you need to read post one - never flash a custom rom with B/L 4.xx or 5.xx. Your device is probably bricked now.

Please stop！
full unlock from your rom is the same with DFT_CORE!
You can go and ask your friend ultrashot！
