HTML Emails on WM5

hi, could someone confirm if they are able to receive and read html emails ok on WM5 with a universal? Do you get a blank email body or is it converted to text? I am running a BA with WM5 and seem to have a problem viewing html emails, cant see the body of the email. I checked on my pc and the problem emails all seem to be html. Plain text displays ok. Just wanted to check if they display ok with a final WM5 rom or if its due to the fact that the BA rom is beta. Thanks
HTML mails are still not supportet.
Yes i know they are not supported. But under WM2003SE if there is text in the email it will display the text only, under WM5 the whole body of the enail is blank on my BA. That is what im asking.
Hmmm. I received HTML mail, but it's usually junk so I never really checked to see what it does.
But I have to say, except for the persistant memory, I really like to know what MS improved in Windows Mobile other than break a lot of existing apps
The email app hasn't changed, the Word and Excel programs don't seem to work any better at reading native documents, Activesync is worse and less featured and the Microsoft bluetooth stack is still no better than it was before (still doesn't support advanced audio). Oh yeah, they added a Powerpoint reader. Oh boy
I can see the alternative text. I think thats the text part of the multimime message.
Hey Americano.
Try adjusting your manners when one of our european colleagues tries to offer you some assistance. That is what you were hoping for when you posted, was it not, ..assistance? Maybe then someone else will answer your question correctly.
Just a tip from someone who appreciates the time others can give to help when in need.
That last post of mine was not aimed at you DaleReek, but your fellow american brethren with an attitude.

Is this directed at me? Where in my comments am i rude? Please point out where my manners need adjusting. I merely restated my question as the response did not answer my question. If you havent got anything substantial to add why post?
If you would care to look at my previous posts you would see i have helped as well as asked others for help previously without any problems.
And for you information i am british now living in america.
@ everyone else. It seems my question is being misunderstood. Let me rephrase:
I am posting this here because JasJar users have a commercial rom which would be a good benchmark to determine whether my problem is due to the unfinished nature of the BA WM5 rom or a limitation of the email app itself. I KNOW html email viewing is not supported in WM5 nor in WM2003SE. But this is my scenario:
When i was running WM2003SE and i received an html email containing only text i would see the text no problem. When i receive html with images these are stripped away leaving only the text. This is to be expected.
Under WM5 receiving an html email containing only text the email shows a blank email message. There is no text displayed. As others have pointed out you should still see the text. I was merely asking what JasJar owners were experiencing on their devices.
I am fully aware that html email is not supported. I am fully aware that the BA WM5 rom is not final. I was just trying to ascertain where the fault may lie, with the BA rom or with WM5 in general. To all that have tried to answer thanks. At the moment i think i have my answer. Thanks to cchris and MBastian
To Efjay:
Let's end this, as it's not productive and as you rightly state. I'm not exactly posting anything helpful at the moment. But remember; everyones writing style may be deemed ambiguous and is therefore perceived differently. From your justification for your writing style, I accept that I MAY have been mistaken about your attitude and therefore should not have posted my opinion. It just read that way to me. If I have caused you offense...I apologise.
Now we've got that out of the way....let's get back to problems and solutions. Funny that, as I don't have any solutions for your problem at the moment. But I will post any useful info, as i learn it. Best of luck.

Multi SMS ?

Is there a program or a way to send sms to multiple contacts or grouped contacts with qtek 9100 (HTC Wizard)?
is it possible with poketinformant?
WM5 doesn't support this option that was supported by windows MObile 2003...
Please help
There MUST be a way to send an sms to more than one person. We had this feature 1000 phones ago so it must be there.
Jeyo Mobile Extende
Here

What are you kidding? Simple!
Put your cursor in the "To:" box and click menu (right soft button) and Add Recipient.
Select the name. Repeat as needed for as many contacts as you want.
Alternatively add the numbers manually seperated by a ; just like you would in an Email.

sorry! what i need is a group sending... with my old magician i select in one shot ten or more contacts then i sent my sms. now with newest 9100 i must select contact one by one :-( :-(
I don't know of any program to do this, but it would be easy to store lists of names in a note then copy and paste them into the TO section as and when. Not exactly 'group sending' at its best but does the job...
Hi,
I need too... Is great for Christmas and New Year!
Idea is write sms and then select multiple recipients from contacts in one shot (by active each contact).
Anybody know?
Thanks
Visual IT are bring out an upgrade to their Simply SMS
This will allow users to send an sms to a group of people grouped under a category.
here's the link, keep an eye out for it in the new year.

Hi, Peteborota,
Thanks, but not work with a PDA phone (Qtek 9100) and with WM5!
Searching....
I use TapText by Dinarsoft for occasions like this. Like Hazymat said, but instead of using notepad, i use taptext to store groups of emails. Tap on TapText icon on the top bar to access.
Works with Wisbar Advanced running too. You got to deactivate program icon and make an icon in WA2 to activate TapText. Works really well with WM5. But storing group emails are part of it, i use it to store anything which i need to use frequently. It is commercialware tho.
ARP they will be releasing a WM5 version in the new year
Spoke to their support desk, they hope to release early jan.
Book mark the site and keep looking.
Cheers.
Thanks Swampy, TapText is great!
But I need a app that can send an SMS to many recipients by hightlight each one, in one shot.
Anybody know one?
Tanks

PointUI Messaging problem

Hi all
I love the PointUI interface and particularly the messgaing applet mod written by alien.
However, unlike other WinMo device users when I use the messaging applet I cannot see the body of any emails. SMS work fine, but the email bodies are missing.
HTC and Omnia users report it working perfectly.
I've tried both the Xperia panel version and the standalone version but no joy.
I have my emails located on the Storage Card through registry modification and wonder if that's the problem. But then surely it wouldn't find sender and subject either.
If anyone has this working on an Xperia please get in touch.
I love the rest of the applet and this is driving me crazy
Thanks in advance

How do I go about enabling scrolling and pictures by default in my email inbox?

Hi all, happy easter!
One small thing that's annoying me about my hd2 is the oldskool Outlook style email system which blocks images and requires me to manually select 'scroll to right' in order for me to view emails properly. how do i go about being able to view images in emails and have the ability to scroll by default? does a registry hack or cab exist?
Thanks in advance!
this interests me as well... hope someone can help our situation
bump! ........
Search the forum people this has been discussed several times! It is NOT possible. Its simply a security feature of WM (as malware can be included in pics as well) that cannot be changed.

WP7 Email size settings?

Sorry if this is covered somewhere - have searched and browsed to no avail so reluctantly, I'm asking!
In the settings for my email accounts on wp7 there are details for the scheduling (ie how often you receive emails to your phone) but I cannot see anything that dictates exactly what you want it to download for each email.
Eg if you have a limited data account you might not want all attachments, and restrict to email headers only or something like that. Or limit to xxKB or xMb etc.
Any idea? WinMo and Android allow this and I'm sure the settings must be on there somewhere but I think I'm being dumb as I can't see it!!
Like WP7 so far (I haven't fixed the live services yet though even though it's activated), but a few minor things I'd LOVE to see fixed if possible:
Ringtone volume - even at 1 out of 20 it's very loud. Not good control at all!
I think I saw info about registry changes to fix this but I can't until I get chevron working.
Font size in emails - it's huge! I want to be able to fit much more emails on the screen at once. I'm not blind so I don't need them THAT big.
Any suggestions (to any of these!) welcome, thanks.
And sorry again if I've missed stuff already posted. Don't want flaming really!!
I'd like to know as I have searched for the answer to this too.
