Summer time switch messed up SE panel - XPERIA X1 General

After we had the summer time switch in the U.S. of A., the clock in the clock setting has chaged (1 hour ahead) and also shows that is all panels, except of the SE panel! If I change the time inside this panel, the rest of the panels and system time changes to a wrong time (2 hours ahead!).
Is there a cab for the SE panel in Generic_UK R2A 10 version so I can try to reinstall that panel (instead of resetting the entire device)?
Anybody else had this happen (in the U.S. of A. and another counrty where the time switched?
Regards
PS
Yeah I saw the panel here listed, but its listed since the phone came out and no info on it, so it is to presume that this is the panel from fw version R1A. If anybody has the new version, I could try to solve the problem by reinstalling that one. Unless one comes up with the registry entry to change that in there perhaps....

My time across WinMo changed, but the SE panel wasn't correct, I then checked the Daylight Savings time box and it corrected. Did you have that checked when you changed the time?

The time changed by itself. Where is this Daylight time box to checkmark? I don't see that.

Click on Options.
Go to your city.
Check daylight savings box.

Thanks a lot! There is was.... and now it is correct. However, why is this only with this panel? The others (fish i.e.) shows the correct time.

I actually don't know why it's like that. Maybe it's just a tiny programming thing that they messed up on.

date format in WM5

Hi all. I suppose this may be a WM5 regional setting issue but I searched all over with no luck. I want to change the format of the Date item in the Today screen. Currently it displays the date with a line feed (wrap) between the day name and the date, and it has the current time right-aligned on the same line. I don't want the time shown here - it's already on the top bar. I only want the date (and possibly a slight larger font size) here with no wrapping. Is there a hack for this, or do I need to get a additional Today plugin for this?
this is the thread for a TodayTimeCab plug-in that can replace the default date/time display, where you can opt not to show the time (can also select the font size).

thanks raymonds!
no problem.

Day and Date on the Today Screen

I have the 8525 and I updated to the new ROM a few days ago. My day and date take up 2 lines across the top now on the today screen whereas it use to take only line across the top. Has anyone else noticed this and is there a way to have it go back to one line?
Same Day and Date display problem
I noticed that too and was wondering the same if anybody else had this problem. At first I thought it might be a compatibilty issue with SPB Pocket Plus. Afterwards I did a hard reset with the default settings and the same double line display of Date and Time appears. It's become pretty frustrating and had to remove the Date and Time all together from the Today Screen. May be someone has a reg edit for this.
Is it possible to downgrade back to the original ROM? My 8525 has locked up a couple times since the upgrade, something that never happened to me before. Thanks
Interesting comments on the ROM. I too have lockup issues now more than ever. And yes, I understand that you can go back to the OLD rom. I may do that at some point. Not sure the "upgrade" changes are worth the pain I am experiencing with the lockups...looks like I just got locked up trying to synch.
And to your original question...I have two lines too. I guess I like that cause I used the large FONT and this caused the day/date to scroll off of the right hand side.

i also want to move/change/edit my date item on today screen!
Bumping this to see if anyone else has found a solution for this.
Try this cab I made http://www.8525software.com/component/option,com_remository/Itemid,27/func,fileinfo/id,58/
It puts the Date and Time in the top by the speaker and GPRS icon, then go to Today options and do not use the Date on the main screen area.
try rlToday (search this forum). Ask those skinning guys there to get you a 1 line simple skin. It is easy to make.
Thanks I ended up using the cab that puts the date above the time.

alarm/notification issue

My wake-up alarm (a standard one, from "clock" Today went off today as usual, only it did not display any notification bubble or icon. Since then it's in a constant loop, I cannot turn it off, tried settings, several soft resets...Even though all alarms are disabled now in settings, this one is still on.
It may have something to do with Remapesoftkeys (tweaking registry settings) I had used...
Any suggestions guys? Perhaps to tweak back the left soft key to original (to display notifications again)? How to do that (I have Resco Registry, but have never used it).
google for `scary bear check notification` to clean it
Cheers, I've tried pmClear instead
<I got frightened by the scary bear >
but it didn't work for me.
I juggled around with my backups and it's fine now!
On a side note: major P I T A. I just hope it does not happen again, backing up right now, just in case...
i a similar problem on my old Atom a while ago, it was triggered by Battery Pack Pro from OmegaOne, it has some notification enhancement features. Probably not the same issue, just thought it could be something to look at.

FYI, I have noticed it on WM5 and WM6 on imates and htc's. I think is a windows mobile problem.
I never use the alarms ...

Calendar - Daylight Savings and Snooze

I have migrated my data from my old PDA to the HD2 - and -
I have several "appointements" that are daily and were set to a certain time.
On the HTC calendar they now show one hour prior to the time I set
(On the older PDA) - What's more - If I run the calendar forward -
to June - these "Appointements" get back to their original time.
My conclusion from that is - that it has to do with the daylight savings calculations.
**Edit: when the reminder pops up (An hour early) it does display the CORRECT appointement time
**Edit2: if you want to test it - create a daily appointement at a certain time, and in the calendar - go to June -
open one of the days - and see that the apointement has moved to an hour later
Another thing is - an appointement reminder pops up -
I only have a button to dismiss and a button to snooze.
The problem is - I cannot choose how long to snooze (neither by tapping the button, nor by holding the button down for a few seconds).
Has anyone else experienced these problems ?
Another question I have is :
Is there a way to make the reminder sound repeat ?
On the old PDA, i could check the check-box in "Sound and notifications" settings -
and that made the Reminder sound repeat every 30-60 seconds -
On the HD2 this check-box is disabled.
(Y would I need it to repeat - well, if I left it on te table and went away for a few moments,
and I missed the notification - I wolu want it to sond again)
(ROM ver: 1.43.405.1 (70124)
Manila: 2.5.19202525)
Ok, two of the problems I resolved
(
Notification Snooze:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5032530
Notification Sound Repeat:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=460368
)
Now - Im only left with the daylight savings issue.
Is there a way to disable automatic DST ? - I dont mind setting it manually
Is there a way to fix the calendar ?
Anyone ?
Hmmm

I would also appreciate it if people who tried it, and saw a correct behavior
(An appointment that was set to repeat daily, using the "repeat"/recurring option, appeared at the same time all year long)
coult specify that -
So I would check how/why Im the only one with the problem
Thanks In Advance.
Anyone got a fix for the Daylight saving issue???? is there a registry tweak??
Im Having problems with DST too, is there a way to disable it, HTC support is useless (beening talking to them for 1 week and none of the "solutions"they give me work) and there is no MS support for win mo 6.5 at all.
They set Buenos Aires where I live as if we use DST which we don't and every appointment is 1 hr ahead, and every time I sync the HD2 with outlook or any time service the clock goes 1 hour ahead and have to change it manually again.
Thanks!
As much as I hate to pull this thread from the "dead"
Sadly - The problem with daylight savings had returned.
I will describe it again -
if you have an appointment that was set to - lets say - 18:00,
and you are in a timezone with daylight savings enabled (in my case - GMT+2 = Jerusalem),
When the system thinks you are in daylight savings period, it moves the appointment according to the daylight savings difference - meaning - it will set it to be on 19:00.
I thought the last (official) ROM upgrade had solved this problem, since It did not occur this time,
that it until yesterday.
Yesterday, my device stopped responding, and I had to pull out the battery.
When I returned the battery to the device and turned it on - the Date-Time-Timezone got "Resetted".
When I set them back - and set Timezone to GMT+2=Jerusalem - the phenomenon re-appeared.
(another thing I discovered (by mistake) is that - If I set it to GMT+2=pretoria the appointments stay at their original time)
Had anyone else encountered this ?
Was anyone else able to resolve this ?
Thanks
the only solution is to abolish summer time...

Sure, but - how do I do that ?
It automatically sets the clock by itself according to the current date, and according to the date it "knows" summer time starts and ends . . .

Registry set date format cause Sense calendar go crazy

I searched this forum but could not find the answer.
I tried to manually set the short date format in the registry
(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\nls\overrides)
from "SSDte"=MM/dd/yyyy
To "SSDte"=dd/MM/yyyy
It seems that it caused the dates to display as requested in most apps,
BUT -
The HTC calendar display went CRAZY !!
(I think with the notifications queue went crazy too, but that might have been just a coincedense
When "Agenda" was selected It didnt display the correct day range,
for repeated entries it started to display as multiday,
and in general - totaly failed.
When I changed to a region where dd/MM/yyyy was available,
the calendar performed just fine when set to dd/mm/yyyy.
Any Ideas ?
Another thing (though less important): I tried the reg tweak
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\
TBOpt=3
(show date and time in the taskbar)
But the task manager icon covers part of the date,
so my question is -
is there a way to shift this date/time display a few pixels to the left ?
(So the display area would not overlap?)
