SIM Switcher Software Compatible with WM5 ?

Howdy folks,
I used to use WiViT SIM Status Switcher with my Magician, which worked well.
I would like a similar application for WM5. (WiViT SSS will not install on my Wizard)
Does anyone know of such an app that will work with WM5?

SSS does install now, thanks. But how about the license. The code you were given wont work on a different device. . . .

Just had contact with one of the Wivit developers.
A WM5 version is planned.
Just give these guys some more time.

I installed the download link on my mda II, but I can not start the application, does anyone has a function version / software for switching in WM5?

Does anyone know where I can buy a dual sim adapter for the Wizard (XDA Mini S) please? I don't want one where you have to cut up the SIM.

It's a today item which has to be enabled from within settings

Next version STK compatible?
Hi,
I use a dual sim solution where you have to cut your sims.
This worked fine, and the new dual card seemed to work.
It even made a new entry in my program group called "Hypercard"
I didn't had time to fully check it out, but that program is gone after shut down the device or do a soft reset..
Any way to get it back?
I also tried Wivit Sim Status Switcher, but only the cab i found here (Sim Switcher.cab) worked, although i had to manually edit the registry to reflect my Dutch ROM. (Program Files to Programmabestanden)
It would be great if someone could create a Dutch cab or could tell me how to edit..
It doesn't seem to switch the SIM's though.. Possibly because i run WM5 or because the adapter uses STK? (Sometimes it just dissapears from Today/Vandaag screen..)
I really hope Wivit's next version is STK, WM5 compatible. (and multilangual?)

This version of the sim-switcher works great with my mai-12 dual sim.
One glitch though: after switching, the operator is not shown anymore. The software only says Registering...

Hmm, I found out how to get it back:
Disable in your settings / today / items the Sim Status Switcher
exit the settings screens until you're back in the today screen.
Enable the Sim Status Switcher again in your settings, and voila: There is your operator again.

Guys,
I've updated VJVolubilis to control the phone radio. I've put in a function to toggle the radio on and off, so for me, launching it twice will switch my dual sim. It should work on WM5, but I've only tested it on the emulator. Could I ask if anyone gets a chance, just to give it a quick go?

Hmm, I found out how to get it back:

I cant get rid of the 'registering' . . . .

Like mentioned earlier in the topic:
Just disable/enable the plugin in the Today screen settings, it should work ok then.
I still hope the soon start replying to their mail..
They asked me to beta test and translate to Dutch, so i send them a Dutch copy of SSS, but haven't heard from them yet..

Irritated the hell out of me.
The Languange file is just a text file, choose you language and just edit the text. I replaced it with ablank space
B.t.w. I still can't use it to switch SIMS, I need to go to the STK, switch and then turn the GSM function off and back on again. Anyone knows witch DUAL sim adapter handles V1 and V2 sims and can be used with WiViT's switcher?

le_cactus: have you tried VJVolubilis? I use a dual sim that uses fight mode to switch. VJVolubilis hopefully works on WM5 and Wm2003 to switch sims this way.

Facebook panel updated

Just a note to all X1 owners that the Facebook panel has a bugfix update which is now available in the "More panels" link in Panel Settings. It's much, much faster now.

Yes, I confirm the filename for the facebook download now says "updated" at the end.

does it just update the current panel when installed? I downloaded it and installed it but there isnt another FB panel.
However, my new or old fb panel doesnt seem that much quicker :s
EDIT: Panel defo loads stuff quicker. Just the content it downloads is still slow...

It replaces the old one. So you won't see two FB panels there.

That is a lot faster!

The cab is the same for all regions so you can get it off the UK site if it's not on the US one.

during installation i was promted that the old version was going to be uninstalled and i clicked OK, but then the new version refused to install. either on memory card or internal memory. when i tried to reinstall the old version i got the same error message, so now i am without. i do not use it much (i mainly have it so the panel space is not empty), but the thing annoys me, specially because i know this can probably happen with any app. where and what should i delete.

Actually, even with the updated .cab i dont notice anything o_o

Downloaded it and is in use on my X1a. A definite improvement over the first version!

You guys are way better off.
HTC abandons its customers, whereas SE continuously provide support. Good stuff.

SE provides support? Since when?!

I've installed the update and seems working better. no freezes when chaning panels. i've used the sktool to optimize the graphics performance on my x1. that might be helping too.
feeling much better with my x1 now.

ok, when I downloaded it from the x1, I download the older version.
manually going to se site I could download the updated cab, works better, but not a big diference.

Thanks for that. I tried both via 'more panels and via the website and there was no sign of the updated version.
I'm finding that the panel no longer crashes or hangs and transition time from pressing the panels button to getting the main panels screen from the facebook panel is MUCH faster

it does have the balloon guid, along with the classic best of both worlds also the earpeice is working and it works flawlessly absolutely love it made my x1 that much better

i have both screens too..but it doesn't show anything on the ballon GUID...the balloons are missing..all i see ae the alphabets

trying it now, it does have ballons.
also a point of interest the beta cab was less than 1.5mb and the offical one is about 6.5mb

mine doesn't show balloon too.. and one more thing is that my cab is 5,96 mb
how is possible that your is 6,5 mb??? really strange... except if.... in this meaning time they have updated the cab....

it's 6MB because includes Skype, the beta panel was just the panel, skype needed to be installed appart.
this version comes with skype 2.5 (not 3.0 beta) and laucnehs a lot faster also, as said, earphone works by default without any tweak!!
at last, free and low cost calls from everywere.

have you the Balloons GUID?

the most important thing of this version should be for who have the xperia the Balloon graphical user interface like in the spot on site... Couse it should have a very simply user interface and with bigger bottoms... that could be fantastic... but it seem that we have not yet news..

they seemed to he pulled it from the site, so there might be a prob somewhere

could anyone upload the cab somewhere, please? can't download it from the SE site via phone

Strange update problem

All of the sudden my Xperia cannot update:
1. Weather on SE Panels
2. Currencies on MSS Converter (the app saying there's no internet connection available, though there's one running!)
Looks like something stops connecting/using the connection although there's one!
Just to add - X1 perfectly works with all the browsers, email etc.
And SPB weather too...
Any help?

And did you try to soft reset your device and check it again?

The problem is that when I want to update SE panel, what always make it display a current weather icon,
and I press "update" - nothing happens.
The icon is "dead" and shows no temperature.
And MSS Concverter when I choose to update online currencies
or check for updates, it says "no internet connection", however I'm online!.
So looks like my X1 is blocking it??
Well I did softreset my X1.
I don't use any R3 or other beta things,
as well as I don't touch any custom roms.
Maybe somebody?

Windows Live Messenger Version 11 [REQ CAB]

hello everyone,
i've see a Version 11 of the Windows LIVE programm at my marketplace, but if i install it only version 10.7 will be installed.
On Microsofts Page i can only download version 10.7.
Has somebody a version higher than 10.7 on his device?

Seeing the same thing with facebook.
Which forgot to change the version number in the actual app (though it looks no different).
BHut I installed 11 windows live, and it still says 10.7, but it is 11, because it looks completely different.

before they "released" the 11 version a version named 10,9 was at the marketplace

Whats "horrid" about it? The layout, the backgrounds, the ability to actually change more of it without plugins like messengerplus?

The 10.7 version has annoying bug. If I disconnected from my network without signing out, it impossible to sign in again. I got a message that i'm already signed in... Does any one know how to fix this ?

i have seen a similar bug... and occasionally my messenger goes completely wild... like it says its connected but it is not and i cannot sign out... Whenever that happens, i have to soft reset

I cant find this messenger anywhere, could someone please post the .cab. Thanks

I wish that I could solve it with SR, but I think that the server still see me as connected and there is nothing I can do from the PDA.

Hehe, managed to extract the latest Windows Live client 10.7.0600 (dated 30/12/09, NOT for smartphones) off Marketplace.

It's not actually the same version as the one on the device. It appears to be another faux-pas on the part of Microsoft (they recently updated the facebook app, but not the version number!)
I installed it earlier and it's a much nicer version. Just hope I don't come across the bugs mentioned earlier!

i have reinstalled it, on the german hd2 it is the the same version... (got the x1, too, und there it was update... the fonts are now bigger an so on...
