I try to connect my pharos to pc with activesync, but ... nothing. I use xp proffesional SP2, activesync 4.5.
I try to remove/ reinstal activesync : not work. Error image attach.
Any sugestion?

I have a problem with ActiveSync : each time i put my phone (qtek 2020) on the craddle, it says "synchronisation error". A few weeks ago everything worked fine.
I use an USB connection, an tried it on other computers in my office: still the same error.
Made some "hard reset", downloaded and installed the latest ROM and software version (Windows Mobile 2003 SE 4.21.1088 - ROM 2.06.00WWE - Radio 1.18.00). Nothing works. I notice that my computer can browse the files on the PPC, so in fact the connexion works! Could it be a problem with Windows XP SP 2 ? I deactivated the firewall but no better results...
If anyone knows...

just reinstall activesync that worked with me
You might get an error if the boxes are checked for synching contacts/appointments etc and you dont have Outlook installed on the pc. Try unchecking all the boxes and see if the error disappears.

after update my pda2k windows CE2003 to WM6 i got activsync error my ppc con't connect to desktop pc when i restart the desktop pc its connects but many time fail to connect plz help me what can i do i m using microsoft activsync 4.5 and windows xp.
is there any FM radio software for imate pda2k WM6??

I flashed my 8525 with the dopod wm6 rom and i was able to sync my ppc but somehow now im unable to sync with my win xp PC. Already tried on 3 different computers with at least 4 different USB cables, all of them with a fresh install of active sync 4.5 and they all detect my ppc as HTC USB Sync under Windows CE USB Devices at the Device Manager but active sync doesn't connect. USB to PC connectivity is unmarked, ActiveSync in ppc is set at Syncronize using " `usb " .
Im not sure if the " ` " has to be there or not but im guessing thats one of the problems with the configuration, tried going to the registry and edit it to just USB but then it doesn't show the USB option in the ppc.
The that i used was the official "838Pro_HK_ENG_WM6_Upgrade_20070712".

did you try to reinstall active sync (for winXP) or windows mobile device center (for windows vista)?

i have same problem i uninstall activesync and still same problem
When i try to connect my HTC Kaiser to active sync on laptop then ppc show me this message:
"to synchronize this device you must install activesync 4.5 or higher on your desktop computer"
The problem is that i have AS4.5 on laptop. I tried to reintall it but this not solve my problem. Any ideas?

I have XP...
After fresh install you need to start ActiveSync manual.
Go to Start, then run ActiveSync.
Make sure wcescomm.exe is running.
Problem is solved. It was firewall problem. When i configured rules for rapimgr.exe file then problem goes away. Thans for your help.
