I use a laptop to connect wirelessly to a modem but my brother connects to the modem through an ethernet cable (for his laptop). Whenever I'm connected to the internet alone, it works fine. But, once my brother turns on the computer and connects to the internet, the connection crashes. It takes roughly 3 minutes to fix itself, but it crashes a few minutes later. If one person turns off the computer, the internet connection becomes stable again.
This problem started about two days ago, but the modem has been there for a few years, the laptops are not recently bought, so there really were no changes that I know of that could have affected the modem to crash like that.
This problem gets really annoying and any help would be great. Thanks

Hi guys
I have a small problem in that when i use the phone as a modem via bluetooth, after about 5 mins it just hangs (according to my laptop im still connected), so i have to disconnect and connect and works for another 5 mins.
It doesn't happen with usb connection only with bluetooth.
any ideas?

i've noticed similar problem two days ago, acutally it wasn't 'hanging', but bluetooth in Vario II just.. turned off by itself. it happened twice, but i didn't have time to investigate it further more.
I just configured my 2day old TyTN for dial up networking via Bluetooth. I've been surfing and checking email (Edge no HSPDA here) for 1hr and 17 min's without a hang up. Running at about 50k per dsl reports.com . It loads pages about twice as fast as my k jam and has not felt warm at all. As I recall the k jam heated up with that much use.
Ok, so I've had issues with vista and pam before, but I have a new one, that I can't find anything about on google, on here, or anywhere else so far. I have a laptop with vista 64 home premium that I can PAM with mogul's ICS using my phone or my wife's (both are on the unlimited PAM plan.) My wife's laptop runs vista 32 home premium, and both of our phones have an identical issue when trying to tether with it, meaning its not an issue with the phones. When connecting to PAM on her laptop, 7/10 time, it will go through the steps, and when the vista networking gets done with identifying, pulling an IP from the phone ICS, and checking for connectivity (which vista does by pinging a server by domain name to determine that the DNS is working in addition to the network being open) it will be up for a split second, then disconnect. Sometimes it will disconnect after Identifying, but before making the connectivity check. The rest of the time, it connects and works fine. We have tested other cables, and recently I tested it under safe mode with networking, and made my first progress.
Under Safe mode with networking, it will connect perfectly every time. The hard part now, is I do not know what program or device conflict could be causing it to disconnect immediately after completing connection. Has anyone had this issue and found any other programs or hardware to interfere?
I haven't had this proble in specific but I did have a problem with using ICS in vista to let my PS3 go online via my laptop using the mogule as my internet connection, in one instant it actually gave me the blue screen of death. I have to say that with Ubuntu and Vista the best way to use the phone as modem is to run ICS (on the phone) and hit connect (I'm speaking about the usb method) the phone will say check cable or something and then hook the cable up. This way has eliminated the quick disconnect witch i experience in Ubuntu a few times.
Hope this help
Hi, although my phone shows me that I have a full WiFi-Connection, my phone has several times a day no connection to the internet. So it opens no websites etc. After reconnecting it to my router everything works fine again. Is there a possibility to solve this? It's making me crazy to reconnect all the time to my wifi ........
Hello Guys,
today i got my new Mediapad m3 and its very nice but there is a problem with my wifi.
I can connect to my wifi and im also having fast internet. But every 30 seconds (its litterally 32 seconds from one disconnect to the other, every single time) it disconnects and reconnects immediatly after it.
Every other device is working fine with my wifi... what could it be?
Did you try having the Mediapad forget your wireless network and connect again? For some reason that helps a lot of my devices that are having trouble connecting or keeping a connection. If that doesn't work, try rebooting your router.
Hey guys first time poster here hope you can help me out
So since the last 2 months or so i've been having an annoying issue with the t-mo variant on5 (sm-g550t), the mobile hotspot or tethering drops it's connection to every device it has connected to it, devices stay connected to the phone but they have no internet what so ever, laptop says "connected, no internet", XB1 disconnects on it's side and says that the network isn't set up but it's still connected or so the phone says, it's always at random, I can stay connected for around an hour sometimes or 5 mins at most sometimes and I have to restart it when that happens so that the devices can have an internet connection again, pda frequently drops to and won't really last long, I switched sims with my friends phone an LG v something and it worked flawlessly so the phone is the one with the problem, I'm a college student so I really need a working hotspot for multiple stuff.
On5 is rooted and has czars rom, no xposed or magisk used.
Thx in advance to whoever helps me with my issue
