record Button and more generally buttons's shortcut reset

Hi everybody !
First af all, sry for bad english ! i will try to do my best but i'm french so this could explain some mistakes.
Does anybody experienced the same trouble ?
1/ my 4 buttons ( contact, calendar, camera and record ) always reset ! maybe 1 or 2 times a day.
I always have to go in the configuration panel to re-set the standard function and i can't have anymore access to the "record" button.
If i do -) start -) parameters -) buttons i always have to redeploy the affectation af each button by choosing in the list above BUT in this list i can't have access to the 'hotvoice' or if u prefer the 'record' application !
so i can't program the record button again to record !
am i clear enought ?
2/ when my 4 buttons reset i have a message on the screen (will try to translate ) "can't find the shortcut or pb with the shortcut / can't access to the required function "

never had that issue maybe because i leave the buttons at default
apart from the calander button which is set to voice command
and that dont get kicked back to default calander when i reset

( just above the hardware buttons)
at the mo i have calendar and contacts.....
is it possible to change it to sms and opera...

alli have is the new htc ROM installed...and orginal maila..i havent chabged any of that yet ....which version would i need or where would i get it ..

ok, i don't have this rom but try to go(with a registry editor) to HTLM/Software/HTC/Manila/ and normaly you ca view right and left patch....

I used HD tweak (it's under calender) to change my to camera. Works well and less risky then editing the registry

Hd Tweak is the answer you can change both soft keys to just about anything
here is the cab just install and check through the options very simple i have Comm manager on left and contacts on right for example

Tired of accidently pressing keys while in a call ???

Hi there ... for a while now I`m using Duttys ROMs, but I have a problem with the sensor that turns off the screen during call ... sometimes it doesn`t work properly and I keep pressing screen buttons with my cheek. I remember having an incall slide curtain on 1.43 original ROM that helped for this bug, but it`s never included in any latest ROM ....
So I`m asking for the folowing : is there a way to install just the curtain cover, or change the registry somehow in order to bring back the curtain, or it must be implemented in the ROM itself ?

i have the same problem and it's driving me nuts . also, the "tap with two fingers to shut off the screen" trick does not work with my device. windows button --> lock helps but is not reliable. maybe someone can make a custom made lock screen?

i'm looking for that too... it would be easier to have the proximity sensor issue fixed thand that (battery wise)...

making the curtain show or not is an option that you can set, and heck knows if I can remember where!
I actually want to have all those buttons always accessible (that is, I disabled the curtain) because I've never had problems with proximity on my ear and accessing all the options immediately is easier, but I uderstand it's not the same with everyone.

It depends on the Rom you`re using ... when there is a ROM with curtain Enabled by default , there are programs like BSB Tweaks that can remove the curtain ... but where the curtain is not presented at all, there is no way to enable it .... that`s what I`m asking ... isnt there a way to just flash the phone canvas, or a .cab or something to bring back the curtain on cooked ROMs ?

ouch right... that was the one, I used bsbtweaks to disable the curtain Sorry I couldn't be of any help

the s2u2 lockscreen has got the ability to lock ure phone when the connection is established.

but what about the secconds it takes until it connects?

how reinstalling incall cover slide ?
I'm french and i'm sorry for my awful english...
i've a great netdrg rom (2.5j FRE) on my HD2 but neither bsb tweaks, hd tweak, nor S2U2
however i don't have this so usefull incall cover slide. I searched everywhere to get a cab or files needed to get back it...
if you have any solution, you'll have all my thanks and respect !!!

Taskmanager Icon Change?

Hy,
i search for a long time for the Taskmanager Icon at the homescreen. This Icon in the right up corner. I'll not found it. When i install the Taskmanager Showcase it changes this Icon. Also, it can changed. Where is this Icon. Does anybody know where is it?

The english is fine, better than my Deutsch!
It depends on your ROM version. The stock ROM has an HTC icon, sort of a downwards arrow, that shows up only on the Today screen. It is controlled by the stock WM task manager icon in the Settings / System screen. Hope this helps.
BTW, I use Arkswitch, and it is really nice - although it is not really optimum of you are using WM 6.5. It works best on WM 6.5.x.

I've found one png but after i changed it nothing happens. For what do you use Arkswitch? and i use a EPS Rom whit 6.5. We talk from the same Icon? These three ugly white Stripes whit an littel arow up or downwards.

My Energy ROM does not have the default WM Task Manager in the Settings / System area, so I cannot use the icon of which you are speaking.
Arkswitch is a task switcher. It sets up an area of the screen that you touch to control the tasks. On the WM 6.5.x, the start menu is on the bottom left. On the earlier versions, the start button is on the upper left, which makes Arkswitch a bit more difficult - the activation area defaults to the upper left area of the task bar.
Yes, that is the icon indicator that HTC puts up on the home page only. If clicked, it shows all running programs, plus has three icons at the top, I don't recall what they do - one of them was battery, I think. If your version of WM supports it, you can control it via the Settings / System / Task Manager icon - assuming that the program you installed did not change this icon in some fashion.

I am not to sure what your asking for but here is a cab that will install that task manager. Install to your device and then soft reset. It will put that task manager with that icon in the upper right corner. I hope this helps you.

i guess he simply don´t like that icon for the taskmanger. It seems all he want to do is to exchange that icon with a more suitable icon.
And because he don´t know where the picture information is stored (maybe in a dll-file or an exe.file) he asks for help.

[Q] Problem with buttons

Hello,
i have some problem here.
I have windows mobile 6.5.3 (or 6.5.2? Don't know where to find out) and my button "áü" (next to space) isn't working. It's software error (i'we tried it in service menu). Have you any idea where i could find solution please?
Then i have also problem with camera button: first stage isn't working too, and this is REAL problem
When i'we tried service menu > keyboard, it wasn't working too (i mean just first stage of button, i can do photo but i cant focus) and above output area there was written "Power/Camera/Panel keys not supported" ...
Do you think that hard reset would help me?

to access the symbols u need to presss other button 1st
example: ë ... u need to press e 1st and than the button next to space

I was using it for a week, then it stopped working.
