Problem to start calendar from htc home (:MSPOUTLOOK calendar) - Touch GSM General

I have tried agendus pro to be the default PIM. It worked but I am not satisfied. I changed back.. and now I am not able to start the MS Outlook calendar. It is working from programs but not from the htc home.
I receive "The file :MSOUTLOOK calendar" cannot be opened .." Who can help me to get this up and running again?
Thanks Hans
HLKM is set 1 :MSPOUTLOOK calendar

I have the same problem on a Glofiish X800. Installed Agendus and the Calendar button at the bottom of the Desktop on my phone returns the same ":MSOUTLOOK calendar cannot be opened" error.

any fix to this??? I just had the same situation.. Loved agendus on my palm.. didnt work right on my Fuze Now I cant access the caledar from the home screen

detailed recurring appointments

Hi
Has anyone figured out any way to get more detailed recurring appointments? In previous htc phones/wm versions, I had the option to setup appointments every X days, or weeks, or Y days before end/start of the month etc.
In the current setup there are 4 or 5 basic options and thats it.
workaround
Btw. the workaround Im using is editing the appointments in outlook on my laptop and then synching, but would be nice to do from the hd2 itself.
If you close sense and go back to the windows default as you home screen, you get back the default calander app.
Use Start - Outlook - Calendar instead of the htc calendar, which opens the outlook calendar rather than the htc one, and gives you many more options in the new appointment screens.
fantastic, thanks guys!

change calendar button command

I'd like to change my calendar shortcut on the homescreen of manila 2D.
You have the 3 lines, alert, calls and calendar. If you push row 3 you get into the standard calendar. Now I'd like to use another calendar.
Is it possible to change te link on the main screen, so that it will open up the other calendar?
I know that thumbcal does that automatically , but i'd like to use IneSoft Calendar.
Is it also possible to let the coming events still appear on the homescreen?
thanks!

I lost my htc calendar

hello all,
I have a problem with the calendar on my HD2.
the skin of my calendar is the the basic skin of WM6 calendar.
how to find the manila skin or howfind the htc calendar ?
thx a lot
I updated my ROM from 1.48 to 3.14 and also "lost" HTC Calendar. I would appreciate any help to get rid of that wm calendar view, thx.
OK, problem solved thanks to Google. You just had to tap Calendar in the menu:
Actually there's only one Calendar app on the HD2 which is the classic one. The "other" Calendar you are referring to is actually part of HTC Sense (if you didn't install a third party and forgot to mention in your post).
Most probably you have disabled the Calendar tab in Sense. To re-enable it, slide right to the Settings tab of Sense, tap Personalize, then Home Screen tabs and put a checkmark on the Calendar. After tapping Done, your Sense should restart and your Sense Calendar tab should be back.

Click to collapse

[Q] Setting the default htc calendar view

When I click on an appointment on the home page it launches HTC calendarin agenda view, is there anyway to have this either launch Outlook calendar or HTC calendar but in day view? HTC Calendar settings only gives options for reminders and default first day of week. I have looked around in the registry but have had no luck.
1. Diable calendar tab. This will make you jump directly to outlook calendar.
2. Or you can opt for a more advanced type of calendar app. Install ThumbCal.
I thought I had managed to do this once before, however when I just tried again (removed the calendar from the homescreen tabs) clicking on the calendar entry on the homepage now does nothing. I have done a soft reset but still the same. Any ideas?
Actually, the calendar link on the homepage is weird. It only works properly with the calendar tab. Once you remove the calendar tab, the link works only under certain strange conditions, described as follows:
1. If you have appointments for today, the link will not work. It can only show you one entry of today's appointments.
2. If you have NO appointments for today, and calendar link is a blank (i.e. showing on the "calendar" name on it), then the link will work to bring up outlook calendar.
So basically, it's inconsistent. That's why you have to forget about the calendar link of homepage. It's useless.
Here are some of the options you can do.
1. Place the outlook calendar on the of the quick links. (You'll have to swipe up on the homepage to access it.)
2. Use "Bsb Tweaks" app to change the left soft key of Sense UI to outlook calendar. (Originally, the "Phone" app sits on this soft key. But it works exactly the same way as the call key at the bottom of the phone. Making it redundant and useless.)
3. On your Start menu, bring the "Outlook" folder icon up to the top of the menu. That way, it will be easy to access outlook calendar anytime from under any running apps, by tapping the windows button, then outlook folder, then calendar.

[Q] HTC Synch - Outlook synch problem ...

I am using MDJ_FroYo_HD_v._4.4_MDJ_S7.6HD ROM. When I connect the phone with PC, it can not synch neither calender nor contacts. I get the warning message "Unable to copy contacts from PIM."
I basically want to synch my computer and my Android HD2 as I did with WinMo.
Thanks for your suggestions.
Pls try the following, it works for me
Many thanks to Dweebken who advise with the solution.

I was having this problem just now on an XP SP3 machine with HTC Sync V3.0.5511. (actually, I've been having the problem for a month or so now!). Froyo 2.2 ROM (Official HTC/Telstra release) on the phone. It was working at first for a few weeks then stopped working for contacts and appointments. I uninstalled and reinstalled the HTC software & drivers a couple of times without joy, and checked and rechecked Outlook 2010 settings and folder locations too (rebooting between each attempt).
What fixed it just now was: on the PC, clicking Start, then "Set Program Access and Defaults", selecting "Custom" then selecting "Outlook" in the "Choose a default email program" section. Restarted HTC Sync and plugged the phone in (with Outlook 2010 not running) and the error message is now gone. Checked my phone calendar for the appointments I'd added in Outlook today and confirmed they had synced to the phone correctly.
I hope this helps someone else. YMMV
