MS Outlook Exchange users: Sent Items folder is empty - XPERIA X1 General

I've had my X1a for a few months now and is synced with my work's Microsoft Outlook Exchange server. I can send and receive e-mails fine and everything seems to work except after I send an e-mail from my phone, the message doesn't go to the Sent Items folder.
However, in my MS Outlook program on my laptop which I use for syncing (with WMDC) and is also set up with my e-mails through the Exchange server, I can see my sent e-mails in the Sent Items folder even when I send e-mails from my X1a. So I know there is nothing wrong with the Exchange server and it is a problem with the phone.
On my X1a, when I go into my Outlook E-mail options, I have the "Keep copies of sent items in Sent folder" checkmarked but nothing shows up in the Sent Items folder after I send an e-mail.
Any one know a solution to this?

you need to set up your sync folder settings. by default wm will only sync your inbox and none of your other folders. iirc it should be under tools -> folders and check the sent items folder to be sync'd as well. i don't have the phone in front of me right now, so this is from memory. play around with the settings and you'll see it.

Yes that's the way...
Inbox > Menu (right soft key) Tools > Manage folders> Check sent items.
Then just sync again.

omg you guys made my day! thank you!!!!!
i can't believe it was something so simple..
mods, please close

Sent Items Not Syncing (on Device and Server!)

Here's the deal...I have three email accounts configured on my xv6800. One business account, and two personal. I can send and receive everything fine on ALL accounts, but no matter what account I send from, the sent items does not save a copy, and their is also not a copy saved on the server, yet the emails are going through to the recipients just fine, however they just dissapear after they go out, they do not stay on my device or my IMAP server.
Before you respond with the obvious solutions, please know I have already made the correct settings. Both the "Save sent items" box is checked as well as the "Sent" items box in Manage Folder (to sync) in the settings sections. Even with both those options set up correctly outgoing email is not saved on my device or my server.
What's the deal? It is setup as IMAP, not POP, so everything should by syncing back and forth just fine....? HELP!
THANKS!!
*bump*
anyone? this is a common problem I found on Google, but nobody seems to have any answers.

Gmail IMAP "sent mail"

Would anyone know how to keep sent messages in "sent" folder?
Using Gmail IMAP my messages get sent but can't find them on my phone after send.
On line all show in my Gmail account.
go to the options of the messaging, "message" tab and check the second one "keep copies of sent items in sent folder"
Got it selected but no messages stay in any "sent" folder
In Outlook it works like this, don't know if its the same with IMAP, but worth a shot
Menu > Tools > Manage Folders
Then select the foders you want to sync

Click to collapse
+1 Was just going to say this when I saw your reply.
Thats how I set mine on gmail & IMAP.
Just note you cant choose 'manage folders' while it is connecting / downloading / sending mail so wait for it to finish first

Sync more folders in Exchange/Outlook mail ?

Hi,
The HD2 is my first HTC-phone, i like it so far, but i'm searching for a way to sync more folders than just my inbox using Exchange/Outlook-mail.
On my old phone (WM 6.1) i could go to folder-options (or something like that, i'm using the dutch version) and was able to select and deselect more folders.
I cannot find it on this phone, is this a WM 6.5 or a HTC-sense issue ?
(or maybe my own )
Regards,
Martin.
Just got mine on O2 - cant find the option either!
Did you have any joy??
go into your outlook inbox..select tools, then manage folders, then you can check all the folders you want sync'd
I've selected the folders I wanted to Sync on both my GMAIL and Google Apps account but it only downloads messages from Inbox. How do you get it to sync your sent mail and other folders?
Has anyone got extra folders syncd?
I am syncing a lot of folders in Outlook with our Exchange Server. As twisted-pixel wrote then you need to open Outlook E-mail and select Menu, then select Functions and then Manage Folders. The options Functions cannot be seen on the screen and you need to scrool down to it (It took me some time to find it )
In the Manage Folders screen you are able to select the folders you want to synchronize.

Gmail sent mail sync problem solved

So I've been having a few issue with gmail and it not syncing with the sent mail folder. There's been a few posts on here, but I thought I'd start a new one for a 'new' solution for those that may still be having issues. I solved it mostly through help from wacky.banana (many thanks) and a bit of good fortune.
Anyway I was following advice on here that once I'd set up my googlemail account on my HD2 only inbox was synced as default, so you need to go into menu from the inbox folder>tools>manage folders and tick the box for sent mail. What I've just noticed is that when you click manage folders and it takes you to the screen with the different folders with the check boxes, it says "sent items" rather than "sent mail". I've been ticking this assuming it was my "sent mail" folder, and so only been getting mail sent using the HD2, and not been able to access older sent mail, nor does it sync with sent mail from my PC.
What I accidently found this morning was that in the manage folders page, if you expand google mail by pressing the box with + in it you will now get a folder saying "sent mail". Tick this box and everything works ok. To some of you on here this might seem totally obvious, but to those of us new to winmo it's not, and I though some of you might have been doing the same as me
My only gripe with it now is that when you go to the sent mail folder you can't catagorise it by recipient, so everthing comes up with my name/email address. Does anyone know if there's some way you can get it to sort via recipient name?

Email: Synch 'Sent' Folder Only?

Is there a way to synch ONLY the 'sent items' folder via ActiveSync or do you have to also keep copies of the various messages from Outlook also on your phone?
Bump. Anyone?
connect phone to pc, on pc open windows mobile device center, click mobile device settings - change content sync settings - email sync settings - untick the folders you dont want and tick those you do (sent items in this case)
Sorry, I think I didn't express that well. I want to synchronize only the sent items from my phone to Outlook on the desktop so that I can preserve any replies I send from the road while having the original message downloaded to my desktop when I return home. The settings you describe will only synch MS Outlook items with the 'Outlook' folder on my PC, and the accounts I set up on my phone do not appear in the folder tree to be selected. So that configuration won't work for me.
It seems that no combination of what I want is possible with the current software, yet I can't believe I'm the only one with this need.
Let me explain.
I use Outlook on my desktop and only use the phone for reading and replying to messages on-the-fly. Knowing that I will have a copy of the POP message on my laptop (which serves as my home pc also) when I get back at night, I only want to file and keep a copy of any replies I make from the road. My hope was to have any sent items uploaded to my laptop, I can run rules on MS Outlook to autofile to their respective folder structures, and I'm done - both received POP messages and their corresponding replies are preserved.
I own a copy of FlexMail, but it won't synch with Outlook, so that's not a solution. And there doesn't seem to be anything else out there that'll do what I need.
Any thoughts?
Bump. Anyone?
Guys, just to reiterate the question...
How would you get (move/copy/backup) messages from the local email accounts you set up on your HD2, to your Outlook PST on the desktop?
