Charge and headphone adapter ?? - Touch Pro, Fuze Accessories

I now have 2 HTC 2 way adapters. Neither of which produce any sound in my HTC headset.
Does anyone know of an adapter that can successfully charge a Touch Pro and have a headset (HTC extusb) connected at the same time ?
Thanks in advance, DBo.

You could try the the y adapter that came with the T-Mobile Wing, I had one but the sound stopped working period(shortage). They are like 30 dollars on

XDA II for Car Audio

Hey,
I have a question regarding the XDA II.
When I'm getting the device I would like to get it connected in my car.
Is it possible to connect the XDA II to an amplifier and play my mp3's?
I know there are a few amplifiers out there that can be connected with a "walkman" jack.
If is possible could you put some pics online where I can check it out?
Thanks a lot!
Cheers
Panja
if you dont want to get a car tuner which neat jackconnectors
and you have a tape player in the car then
http://www.digitalnetworksna.com/shop/_templates/item_accessories.asp?model=69&cat=16
this one or one like it would work if you made or got a xda 2.5 to 3.5 converter
First of all: thanks for the amazing fast reply!! :-D
I don't have a tape player in my car... So this is not an option for me...
I can buy an amplifier that can be connected with a "walkman" jack.
I had one a long time ago, I connected my walkman to the amplifier.
So is there a cable that can be connected to the XDA II and the other side that has a "walkman" jack? (So I can put this in the amplifier)?
And will this work for the XDA II?
Cheers

xda1 and 2 have compatible connectors apart from the pickup phone buttons
w00t!!
That's what I'm looking for man!
Thanks again, going to order that one as soon as my XDA II is in my hands :-D
Does anyone in here own such a cable?
Just want to know if the quality is any good...
If it's worth the money.
The cable itself is not that expensive but I would have to buy an amplifier too.
Don't care about the money as long as it works great :-D
Cheers
Also I would like to know when connected with the cable does the microfone still work? (so when the cable is inserted)
Because I will be using MS Voice software...
Thanks
if it does disable the mic in the xda then this
http://pc-mobile.net/pxdaa.htm
would work it have a mic aswell and a 3.5mm connector
of cause then you would have to place it in a place where
it can recieve your voice
about sound quality then should not be much worse then the headset
it's just another connector with the jack 3.5mm
it's just analog you can compare it with how much the quality loss would be if a walkmen were connected the same way compared to connected to a headset
Thanks man!!
Just a question regarding the cable with mic.
If I will use it in the car with the sound (mp3) over my speakers won't that interfere with my microphone (with ms voice software)...?
Hi just thought this idea might help:
if you have a look around the net (i think Expansys.co.uk also do one) you can get a little radio module that plugs into a standard stereo jack, it transmits your audio to a special frequency that can be picked up by any FM radio nearby. Like you car radio if you have one.
I use my XDA II as an MP3 player in my car via Seidio's iSound wireless FM transmitter. The transmitter input plugs into the XDA2's headphone jack (I have a 2.5 to 3.5 mm adaptor) and then I tune my car stereo into the user definable frequency of the iSound transmitter. Works very well.

This sounds very very interesting guys!!
Thanks a lot.
This is a lot more userfriendly than putting an amplifer and stuff in.
I have a nice car audio so this is very neat!!
How is the sound quality?!
Cheers
So how is the sound quality?
Before I'm buying this one I would like to know if the sound quality is good.
I got the expansys adapter but it works very poorly for the XDAII dues to the unusual shape of the 2.5 socket on the XDAII. I have to fiddle with the plug to get it to work... very annoying.
Anyone found an adapter without this problem?

Buy on old Nokia 8110 headet, cut it below the mic and use the wires to solder a 3,5mm connector to it, On the nokia wire :
blue = Audio-L
Green = Audio-R
Red = Mic
Blanc = Ground
Good luck !

Cradle with audio jack for Kaiser???

Hi
I love my Kaiser (HTC TYTN ii on Orange)
I have a 3 in 1 adapter so I can attach it to my pillow speaker at night and charge the Kaiser at the same time.
However, I would kill to have an adapter that could do this and hold my Kaiser securely (charge and audio out). It must be possible?
Does anyone have any ideas???
Cheers

Rob,
Unfortunately I have no ideas for the cradle, but i am interested where you got the three in one adapter (charge in plus audio out) as I would like to use it in the car when I am using the sat nav and music.

Phone audio only through USB headphones

I have had my Sprint Mogul for over a year now, have upgraded to the Latest HTC Sprint release (WM6.1) and just now have tried to use my corded headphones for the first time.
I am using a USB adapter I bought from SEMSONS.
2-in-1 mini USB and 3.5mm Stereo Audio Multi-Adapter for ATT 8525, 8925; T-Mobile Dash, HTC TyTN, TyTN II, Touch, Diamond
The problem I'm having is I get no audio through the headphones for any app except for the phone.
Sounds like a setting to me but I have not been able to find anything on this.
Has anybody else had this problem and/or know of a fix?
Thanx in Advance.

AT&T tilt headphone adapter

I just wanted to share this as it may be helpful to new Tilt owners -
I stopped by a T-mobile store the other day and found that they sell a mini-USB to 3.5 mm headphone adapter for $9.99. It's made by HTC and is meant for the G1, but turns out it works flawlessly with the Tilt, too. It even has a microphone and a phone answer/hang up + voice command button on it, so it is quite neat- as long as you don't mind the extra length the adapter adds to your headphone.
Wonder why AT&T wouldn't sell such an accessory for the Tilt at their store.
thanks a lot! ill keep an eye out for it. been looking for one.
Hey, thanks for the tip! I already purchased something similar from Boxwave, but it's nice to know there's a cheaper alternative if I lose mine.
I just bought a two-pack of these on eBay from some Chinese seller. I'll let you know how they work out once I get them.
$7.98 for two shipped. I have a friend with a tilt as well, so it works out.
Did you see this?

because AT&T are a CHEAP organization when it comes to their wireless business. If you noticed, the original HTC Tilt phone comes with almost all the accessories and the stripped down version by AT&T comes with nothing, thank them for sending the phone at least
Thought I will add this info even if it is too late.
I bought the mini-USB to 3.5 mm headphone adapter by HTC from the T-mobile store...and it works amazing....

The product discussed in this topic is good, but the drawback is once the charger and headphone (or Aux input) is connected while driving you wont be able to answer a call unless you unplug the headphones, cause there is not mic access. This is where the mini-USB to 3.5 mm headphone adapter by HTC comes into play. It has a built in mic with the little answer button which will let you talk to the person on the other end.
I bought a 3.5mm audio splitter and audio connector cable (bundled package for 10$ from Walmart) and connected my phone (using the adapter) and my satellite radio to my auxiliary input. Cables and all tucked in nicely and clean. Now I can listen to my radio, video & audio files in my phone, make calls etc etc and enjoy all these through my car speakers. The satellite radio output dims when I get a call or make a call (or when ever there is a output from my phone). I noticed that there will be slight interference from the radio no matter what, so I just mute my satellite radio when I get a call. Excellent quality...
Still cannot charge my phone at the same time. Guess I will still have to visit the radioshack to buy a mini usb splitter...
Just bought the "G1" adapter at the local Tmobile store. Works as advertised! Great find.

Htc usb 4 in 1 adaptor

Any clues if will support a corded headset?
Greatings,
I'm considering buying one of these. I'm looking for any information about this device. I'm hoping that it would support a standard cellphone type headset with single speaker and mic using a normal stereo type plug (the kind you can use with your standard cordless home phone handsets).
I suspect these are mainly for stereo headsets (so the same plug used as a microphone probably wouldn't work), but so far, no definitive answer.
Any info you can provide would be appreciated.
