I am wondering if anyone can make (or has already made?) a program that can be programmed to send the same text, mulitple times, to the same number...
My reason behind wanting this is... A local radio station hasa competition going. Whoever texts "wii" to a number they set up the most, will win a wii. I have already been sending texts like "wii(157spaces)wii(157spaces)" like 8 texts at a time, but I lose out on a lot of valuable text time from when I go to bed at 10pm and when I wake up at 6am... also, when I am not near my phone, I lose out on valuable text time, as well.
Anyone have any suggestions? Comments? I would love to hear them. I have found this forum soo helpful, thus far!
JT
lol just buy one, beats wasting time on sending texts plus these things are usually always rigged so you probabaly wouldnt even win anyway and even when you do get one you would have lost alot of valuable wii playing time.
on the otherhand you could busk for the amount of time you would have spent texting and buy one that way?
hope this helps
Since I had five minutes, I whipped one up.
It needs .Net CF 2.0, and there's a one second wait between sending each message 'cause otherwise WM gets confused!
The first text box is the number, the numeric up/down is the number of messages to send, and the second text box is the body of the message.
Unzip, copy to your device, and run the exe.
Hope that works for you!
BTW, I can't be held responsible if this causes any damage whatsoever, and it may cost you money to send the texts, which I can't be blamed for.
I just have to say, thx for this program!!! I use it on an almost daily basis... When people annoy me with texts, I'll send them 50 texts at once back... And on my little sisters bday I sent her 90 txts saying happy bday and she thought it was hilarious. I am just curious if there is any way to make cut/copy/paste work on this? My only issue is trying to remember peoples phone numbers to paste them in the "to" box... Or is there any way to integrate that box into using the contacts??
Once again, thanks for this program!!! Super super awesome!!!
JT
oh... and is there any way to make it send more than 100 at a time?
(If you have any info on how to write/edit programs, then I'd love to learn so I dont have to ask and can do this myself. I'm not too tech-savvy, but I love to learn lol)

It should be possible, though that's something I've never done. I'll have a look at it, and see what I can do for you.

The 100 texts limit is really easy to change, though there is a limit of what an "int" value can contain. I suspect it's far larger than what you'll use!
It's written in C# .Net CF, and I can send you the source code with comments if you want,,,
Anyway, I'll have a look at a contact picker, and upload a new file tomorrow (probably).
Theres an SMS program named SMS Nuke (google it).
It allows you to send up to an infinite number of texts to the same number, and will continue to work even when the screens turned off. It may be better than the above mentioned apps but i dont know, not used those ones.

It's here. I hadn't noticed it before, looks good, and has an "Add Contact" button...
new program called SMS spam was released. been using today works beautifully and has an automatic contact lister, so you can just select the contact you wish to bombard with texts!

Dude I hope you've looked for any extra costs for participating in this contest. If not, you're pretty much screwed probably.
wow.. nice app but, think about losing your phone, someone finds it, and uses this program on it , this program could seriously screw up someonse life
ah well.. just don't lose your phone

It requires less RAM to run,
It's faster,
It reads email/sms/mms messages aloud as they arrive,
It's got proper support for bluetooth headsets,
There are a few more small bug fixes, but I'm too excited about the changes mentioned above to notice them
reads email!!! that's all I want...
where you get those info?

Yes, it's nice while listening to music on the train in the morning, and have your emails read to you... Especially when its an email saying the lecture you are on your way to has been canceled -_-
Shame the voice is so "blurred" really, would be nice to replace it with another one that's clearer...

Is a demo available?
I have been waiting for this.
I have tried JetWares Bluetooth extension, but is did not seem to very reliable.
If appreciate it if someone could tell me were to find a demo version.
New Sliced Bread
Microsoft has just changed how I look at slice bread... I need new voice command, my phone readin my emails would be killer especially if it can run on less ram... I get a ton of emails everyday from work and messageboards...
email sent
If people keep sending me email, I may just send loads of stuff back to them, in bulk...
After the 100+ emails i've got over the past couple of days, all off people from here...
Notes:
1. There is no demo/trial.
2. It is actually possible to go an buy it (hint, hint), I have, and I am happy with the small amount of money I spent on it.
3. Microsoft have made all of this, and they deserve all the credit, whether they included it in the rom or not.

boy, so you're not only a **** with 1 specific app like the messenger live thread, but ALL apps?
You think it's that hard to find these things?
Please...
Lame.
And fwiw, I've been using it for a few days now. The reading thing actually gets annoying and I turned it off. If someone sends you a long ass message it reads it out... in far longer time then it'd take to just open and read it anyway.
As far as running program mem usage, It uses the same as 1.5 does.
cool app
I'm trying to figure out how to use it... it remapped my msg button as the voice command button... I will try it for the next few days
I purchased my MS VC 1.5 from a retail store. Handango seems to offer the upgrade price only if you bought it from them.
Anybody know anywhere I can get v 1.6 at an upgrade price?

Hi all , something to brighten up a dull February day for you all
After listening to my daughter moan about some bullies texting her all day and night again and again ,I knocked up a little app to get back at them
Its call *****_txt and is simple
Enter the number , the message, then when you want it to start dropping it's payload
then set the interval in minutes how many texts in each drop and how many times to drop the payload.
http://www.beady.com/*****_txt.jpg
works a treat the victim's phone will slow right down recieving the texts
and depending on the phone fills every bit of SMS memory
The interval is for proper annoyance purposes , so when they thing it's stopped it hasn't
The delay timer is good for waking them up early in the morning
It works, my little offspring never gets those bully texts any more.
WARNING , it is possible to send 1000's of texts very easlily with this program be sure you have unlimited texts available or the laugh is on you.
Its tested on a T-mobile diamond and a orange diamond I haven't access to anything else.
the limits on sending speed are just guesses , it might go faster but i wondered if the network providers may stop it if it was too fast.
any ideas are gladly recieved to improve ( they will be filed in the time/money ratio todo list) and if anyone wants the code , just ask.
and there is no warranty etc etc etc, and use with adult discretion , I know you will.
yes I know its not attached to the first post ... just checking you where awake

lol nice app, suerly gonna try it on some1
can i get your number?
hehe nice.
this plus bt spammer wow, the ultimate anti-bully tools.
thanx!
This is SMS Bomber had this for PC never thought i would see it on a phone Some networks block SMS spam great fun thanks so much cool little app
whats really gonna be funny is when your daughter's "bullies" get a hold of your little program....backfire??
gotta try this also! seems more complete than sms nuke! thanks!
Does not seem to want to work on my Tilt (kaiser) says incorrect number, i have tried adding and removing country codes. But looks good, I always mess with my friend (in a nice way) making his phone do funny things so this would add to the fun.
Works well, funny app, will have hours of fun with it lol and when are they going to finish the work on the Cobbles in town
There is already an application like that, called bassel's sms i think.
But nice idea.
Not a bad idea, could be improved by sending class0 sms
Might not be so funny if the recipients report the abuse to their network/ police
2 wrongs dont make a right etc etc
not that I agree with her being bullied in the first place
works in the u.s.?
hey man
it looks good
but can't get it to work in the u.s.
says that number is incorrect
any thoughts on a fix?

If these could be sent as class 0, It'd have my download. But right now this is somewhat similar to baselSMSer haha
Nice!
Don't wanna be paying 1 grand ++ though..
Make it little batter, add more features like range of recipient numbers etc. and commercialize it...
I am doing it from ages, i am providing web, desktop & smart phone (WM, Symbian, Java) solutions for sms advertisement and stuff, and i like to flood my friends inboxs too
removed number error checking,
now any length of number will work, but it will still remove any non digit characters so use 0044 for international instead of +44

Hi Pawaa,
Nice job, there is a bit more in yours,
*****_txt was just a two hour play on VS2005 to help my daughter , and I hadn't played with SMS on mobiles except on my old Nokia 7110 to control my house , but that was years ago.
This sounds like a very useful dialer ..
http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/03/eyes-free-shell-for-android-actually-delivers-on-its-name/
i.e. touch any part of screen and it will be 'five' then your gestures will decide which number to pick. With every number you 'go over' you get a feedback (vibrate/key click).
Would be awesome if someone can port it over to windows mobile.
It would be sweet to have this for WinMo.
However, if it will be a paid app I'll skip it though.

Thats brilliant if u ever find one for the HTC Wizard do post
I dunno about the vibrations and whatnot to dial. It would be like morse code lol... but a full sized canvas for you to draw numbers wouldnt be all bad. it could even use gestures and still not require you to physically look at the phone when you dial. A
brilliant idea
what for is this solution?
If someone is blaind then I uterstand but in other case i can't find enything briliant in that thing. Sometging new but useless for me ....
msvc or cyberon anyone?
Nah its just useful if you are preoccupied doing something and you'd rather not look at the phone when you're dialing.. for example.. say you're watching a movie and its getting good.. but then your girlfriend asks you to call her friend and ask her what time your gonna meet her somewhere and blah blah.. So to put it simply, it just makes life easier.
Honestly how many people these days remember numbers? Most people just stick a number in their contacts. The only numbers I could tell you off the top of my head are my own and my wife's.
ever tried to use the time when driving for 'useful' purpose like navigating complex phone tree ('press 3 for billing followed by your account number') ?

cool app, excellence in its simplicity i have to say
here it goes
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501938
i worked on this today.
let's see what you think
Hello Folks,
It’s been around a month since I’ve joined xda-developers and I have had a chance to get some of the best stuff for my HTC Touch Diamond from here. I think it’s time for me to return the favor and give back something to the community.
SMS Counter
For some time now I have been searching for a *FREE* application that basically can tell me how many SMSes I’ve sent. Thus, if I have a free message sending limit in my plan, I can know if I’ve exceeded it or not. Unfortunately, I could not find any. The only good application that I know currently doing this is the 'Efficasoft smartphone sms counter'. (Though, If there is such application and if I’ve missed it, someone please bring it to my attention)
And thus, I thought of making one!
Possible Features
I spent some thinking about it and I figured that I can add a few more features to make this application a bit more, well, feature rich. The next post lists the features that I have currently is my mind. Based on your suggestions/feedback, I will change the list.
Development Platform
I will be making this application in .Net Compact Framework v3.5 / C#. Thus, people wishing to use this app will need the Compact Framework installed on their devices.
Devices
At the moment I’m planning to make this only for the HTC Touch Diamond. Once the app is a success and if it has a good demand, I can plan on porting it to other devices as well.
Pricing
If everything goes as planned and if this application sees the light of the day, it will be available for everyone to download for FREE, ALWAYS!
So my fellow community members, please think about this and give me your valuable feedback. I want to know your suggestions, your ideas. Do we really need this app in the first place? Is there something better already available? If we need it, how can we make it acceptable to a wider range of audience? Do we add more features or do we just put the most basic features? Lot of questions and your answers are welcome.
Thank you!
[CONCEPT] SMS Counter - Possible Features
Below are the possible features that I am currently thinking of implementing:
Determine number of sent and received messages.
Filter options: Within a date range, to/from specific person, etc.
Trends: Whom I’m messaging most and who is messaging me the most.
Cost calculation based on plan but to be override-able for any given month.
Suggestions welcome!
there is hs++ wich, among many others, have option of counting sent and recived mesages
but i like your idea
to list of features i`d suggest to add
autoresponse (to contacts from adress book when i cannot answer or read message or recive call)
setting message to send at precise time
PowerSMS is one such software. But it is not a freeware.
www.trinketsoftware.com
of course i know PowerSMS
it also has a lot more cool features
but, as you mentioned, it`s not freeware

And it has it's own limitations too. For e.g. I would prefer a graphical chart when I'm seeing statistics, this is something which I would like to incorporate in my own app.
Yet, it seems the response for this is pretty much zero and people are not very keen to have this application.
I like the Idea of the statistics (with chart! ) sounds funny to know who gets the most sms from me (and to see who don't linke me and never or seldom sends me sms back )
I think the features are okay for now keep it as simple as possible
is it going to work in the background ? i mean consume memory and cpu power all time.
i am looking for a call time and sms counter, something simple that i can reset every month (maybe even with an option to reset automatically at a given date each month).
it was built in with my sony erricson T650 and maybe any other phone. but nothing simple at the diamond (havnt seen any sms counter built in).

No, it's not going to work in the background, the user will have the option to manually update stats after he starts the program or they will be calculated automatically when the program starts; whichever the user prefers.
Yes, I can add the option of resetting the stats manually or on a date specified by user, nice suggestions ice2k2, thanks.

That sounds good, just calculate when the user is ready to use, not always in the background more free Ram on our Diamonds! The reset on a specified date is also a really nice idea, yes!
Whats about a "constant" statistic, that shows the statistic from begining, and we can seperate in to monthly? So we can see in wich month we texted the most? And we could use the overall stats to calculate an wich (week)day we send the most sms

You mean maitaining the statistics cumulatively? I don't see how that's possible with the 'reset' option. When a users resets the data, all previous stats are lost and that's its exact purpose. Though, feell free to correct me if i'm wrong and explain what you want in detail, possibly with an example. Thanks,

Like in the car. you have a constant counter of your km/miles, and a "small" one for the time you go to refuel.
so lets say, I want to know how many sms I send since I load my prepaid card (but also a constant statistic )
small counter/reset function = time since reload the prepaid-card / refuel the car
background (full)statistic = overalltime statistic with monts/(week)day stats / km/miles since you bought the car
hope thats make my sugesstion clear

I think its simple, just use two counters: one is "resetable" the other is not.
i guess it means double the data and double the reading/writing cycles but im sure there is a way to optimise it with simple procedure.

Are there any programs out there that you can set to delete messages that are older than a predefined date? I want to get rid all my old messages but would like to keep those that are newer than a few weeks/month.
If something like this doesn't exist, would someone care to enlighten me on how and where WM6 keeps the metadata/datestamps regarding messages? Thanks.

Now that is a great idea! I would love this. Keep the lag out of text messaging. Unfortunately I don't have any info on how or where it saves the date info but I'll do some poking around.

Anyone else able to shed some light on this?
i've coded an application that can do this but havent finalized it yet
you set the FROM and TO date of the sms that you want to purge and let the app do the rest. if you have thousands (or millions ) then it will take a lot of time though
Awesome. When you finish would you mind sending me a PM?
also would like
Me too!
I've got like 1000+
Its nice to have those for the people you've texted recently so you can get back to the thread quickly but if you have too many its slows down your device considerably
I would absolutely love something like this. Kudos to whoever can make this happen.
