Who, oh who can tell me, what registry keys "control" the phone settings.
Things I'd like to change:
- How it rings (vibrate, then ring)
- What ringtone is used
- Keypad tone (off)
- Reject call with text message (off)
- Add new phone number to contacts at end of call (off)
Thanks!
try here
Ooo, didn't know that existed. Thanks, will look into it.
EDIT: Alright, it's some basic info, but no specific keys are named.

Is it possible to change something in the registry in order to achieve both vibrating and audial alerts for alarms related to tasks, appointments and such?
As I have understood, it is possible to mute the sound and turn on vibrating alert. However, I'm very interested in using them both at the same time...
I've scanned the forum, but could only find a registry change making it possible to have increasing ring tones together with the vibrating feature.
Thanks!
Not sure if i've missed something, but i dont think you need any changes to the registry.
Settings (personal tab)
sounds & notifications
Notifications tab:
pick "reminders" (or whatever) pick the sound file and tick the "vibrate" box

Thanks a lot for that! Don't know how I managed not to notice those settings...
No problem
Personally i use Pocket Zen Phone (although there are others) which allow you to have different profiles wilthout having to manually change all settings every time (ie STFU when i wanna sleep, extra loud everything at work so i hear it, same but with bluetooth for the car etc).
Basically you can then have different sounds/vibrate options depending what you are doing.
Hi boys,
I just wanted to ask this to make sure, because I'm annoyed at the fact that I have to send my Tytn in again
Is there a way to make sure that the reason my phone is not vibrating is a hardware fault, as opposed to some software that's getting in the way?
Thanks
sorry if this is too simple a suggeston, but have you checked the ring type is set to ring and vibrate: - start - settings - sounds and notifications - notifications tab (at the bottom) - click the "event" drop down box - scroll to "incoming call" - click "ring type" drop down box - select ring and vibrate.
I currently have the following mods:
-HTC Home
-Battery Status
-Total Commander
-Some Registry Edits
-Deleted all the T-Mob Add-Ons
-Palm Threaded SMS
How do I put the phone on COMPLETE silence. As in it doesn't vibrate at all. In the HTC Home Phone profile thing, I chose Silence All but it still vibrates when I get a text message when I am in the Palm Threaded SMS program. Anyone know how to fix this? I even went to the system Notification and turned off vibrate for the palm text message and the New Text message feature.
I had problems using SPB phone suite ... where whenever I used the "profiles" on the SPB software, it would screw up my settings. It seems that it would change the settings with API calls or something, and sometimes the phone would screw up or lag or something, so it wouldn't completely change all the settings? It would turn off sound, but not turn on vibrate... I don't know... it just wasn't working.
I just completely turned off the profiles aspect of it and I just change it the old school way (with the volume slider on the side)
My Leo does not produce any notification (sound, message. vibrate) at all (SMS, Email, etc.).
I did check the Sense settings (in Sound & Display) and the WM Notifications settings, all seems to be well defined but still nothing.
I did a Hard Reset and restored all my programs & data. It did not help either.
Please advice

You mean this ?
Enable LED Notification Setting in Sound and Notifications
If you want your LED to flash when you have a new message, missed call or voicemail.. well you can't as it is greyed out. However the following registry entries can be modified to enable them or use the cab at end of post. Reset after changes.
New Message:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D65B-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}]
"AvailableOptions"=dword: change to 15
Missed Call:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D660-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}]
"AvailableOptions"=dword: change to 15
Voice Mail:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D661-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}]
"AvailableOptions"=dword: change to 15

The Led seems to work, even though it is not activated in Sense Settings. What I miss are the sound indications defined for these events.
Is the CAB you had sent just forthe Led or also for the proper behaivior of the notifications?

LED but I change the notification thing from settings .. Like start>settings>all settings> etc..
Its workin fine here.
Problem solved
I did change the SENSE language registry value to the required value and all sound/message notifications had returned .
Set: HKEY Current User => MUI => CurLang. Change the hexadecimal value from the existing one to 0409 (en-us) - in my case I use English US.
See language codes here. Thanks to RRibiero.
Before doing all that, you have to check if all the relevant languge files with the language codes are stored in the device Windows directory (i.e. the language code is emmbeded in those files' names - some 47 files).
Hey guys
I'm kinda embarassed when i have to make calls on my HD2, because when you press one of the numbers in the dialer, the tone is way too high >>, is there any way to lower it without lowering the system volume?
Appreciate any help
Valid point here, since having mine I have rarely dialled a new number, just used contacts, but recently had to dial a few numbers and was blasted by the tone
It would be good if it could be lowered.
I am on cooked ROMs, so I'm not sure the settings available to me are applicable to you (stock ROM, I presume).
Go to Settings tab; select Menu; All Settings; Personal; Phone; and select Off for the Keypad.
