Wow that's great, thanks!
It doesn't fill the whole screen on WVGA, however. Can you fix this?
Two suggestions:
1) You could place the chords at the top like in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n23WEqqrP0I AND/OR
2) You could place the frets under the strings so that we can directly play the right notes.
Suggestion 1) would be especcially useful for the Touch HD, which has only two hardware buttons but a a lot of free space on the screen for the chords. I'd also be happy to donate/pay for your app if you could make that possible.
Again, thanks for developing that great app for WM!
WOW, Let me try this
Code:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mD56webqmaw
Found it lol good video btw !! awesome app very promising too ... high quality sound ... this app rocks!
On Touch HD, exactely as your piano app, it doesn't fill the screen, but this is not the worst problem: the app stays in foreground and there's no way to shut it down if not a soft reset. It looks good, but i had to uninstall both of them because of this
Omniano......Now this..........Thank You for the guitar. Just what I was looking for. Keep up the great work
thank you motha RUSSIA kool app to show off to our rivals the iskumm
Sweet Guitar Sir!!!! Sticking and unsticking the chords is still a bit clunky , but the reaction time and interface is spot on..

I can't speak for the guitar app, but in Omniano there is an EXIT button right in the upper middle of the screen that shuts down the program quite effectively.

Installed to storage card and tested quickly and it is fun - One bug though - Don't let S2U2 initialize while guitar running as you won't be able to unlock device - mine did and I tried to slide to unlock and all it did was play guitar strings, couldn't unlock - Didn't soft reset to get it out - not sure how but somehow through a combination of buttons I was able shut screen off and on again and get start somehow as S2U2 flashed on and off - hit it quick and got it to home screen. I wasn't worried - soft reset wouldn't have been that big of a pain. Anyway - remember to disable S2U2 to avoid the hassle. Testing further as this is fun
Thank You So Much This Amazing !!!!!
lol when i first use this app on my PPC last night. I wanted to try stairways to heaven. lol it works the sound everything good.. Im Supporting This App all the way.!! thanks
wow, iperov! your guitar is fantastic, and quick response!!
for your nice app!
The program is amazing! It's not really working on my kaiser though, the sound stutters and is full of clicks. Anybody else try this app on a kaiser? Thanks for help.

processor Qualcomm MSM7200 is too slow for high-response apps.
Don't work for me
It don't play any sound, 'x' and 'reset'-button don't work, and pressing the same hardware-button a second time to set a chord isn't possible. Maybe it's my device.
I tried to use it on my LG KS20 (WM6.0).
Edit:
Ahhh.... okay.... the answer is in the post before.... I've got this MSM7200 processor..... thanks anyway
i cant download for that site
please anyone upload it here or in www.mediafire.com

Anyone thought about creating Microsoft's 'TableTop Surface' like application for ppc(single touchscreen devices) ?
the application like 'water ripple' or 'paint' can be really lite and can be made by developers who developed PCM ImageViewer or ThrottleLaucher or A_C can develop it.. aint folks..??
Then why dont other users request these application's replica right here..

- movieclip drops now remove themselves after falling (better for the memory on the long run)
- After 3 seconds inactive, the drops start falling by themselves randomly.

To use:
Press anywhere on the screen to make a water drip effect, if you drag your finger across the screen it will create a water ripple path.
To see the clock, make some ripples across the middle of the screen.
If you don't press the screen for over 3 seconds, drops of rain will start to fall, they will stop as soon as you press anywhere on the screen.
To set the heavy rain mode on/off press left/right on your keypad, it will also stop if you press anywhere on the screen.
To set quality high/low press up/down on your keypad, default is medium.
Put it in high quality at least once to see the full effect. It can be slow, but so worth it...
When you click on QUARK he changes color and the clock becomes grey for a few seconds, don't overdo it, or he will get upset and leave (he will return eventualy, but the initial trust on you was lost)...
Press enter to exit the application.

Wait what does it do? Just a screensaver or soemthing?
it really doesnt do much, its just a dynamic water effect...
You can try it youself here:

BTW, srbwap, that link you gave is from flash 8, pocket pcs only have flash 7...
Also, that would be too slow to see in our current machines...
ohk the app is very lite like i mentioned in my 1st post and the touch is very sensetive too.. twolf your doing a great job!! your work just need some better GFX..
Change the background with something like this or ill collect more pebble wallpapers
http://fc03.deviantart.com/fs24/i/2007/348/4/9/Pebble_by_Ferrari_8.jpg
hmmm... I did said flash was not the best program for this, i didnt even made the water animation transparent because of the slow flash animations... if i make it transparent it'll be much slower, trust me...
ohk.. but the effort was good..
Any other developers..?? please get your hand on this.. this can be a get success before Micrsoft launches its 'Surface'.
Just a small test with the transparency, so that you can see how slow it becomes:
It works on on a PC, tough:

i just tried this on my elf and it works very smoothly im my overclocked processor.. very nice work twolf,,
now try the next level make the water circle little more realistic like the transparent level.. im off for tonight..
Really? I have a 400mhz with 73mb of free ram Touch Dual and its slooooow....
Damned video driver!
:S
Strange. V2 runs at the same speed as V1 for me, and I'm on a Titan.
Version 3:
Better water animation (I think)...
Diferent background (beach pebbles)
New icon (uhhhhhh)
Possibility to change between high/low quality, with up/down keypad (default is low).
Possibility to see/hide background, with left/right keypad (default is visible).
Enter to exit aplication.
Click to create a drop, press and drag to create a water path.
Needs flash 7 pre-instaled (obviously).
Exe, FLA and swf in the zip, you only need the EXE to test it, of course.
---edit---
It still runs slow on mine, but only the part when there are several drops fading away, thats the slowest.
Any chance you can put some fishies in there?
Surur
Its possible, but its already slow, more animations below the ripple transparent animations would make it slow for everyone for sure...

On friday we can chat with SE about X1 on the swedish website, Mobil.
Follow the link:

You can ask questions now.
(Sorry, but the chat is in swedish.)
For all of you non-swedish speaking people, you can ask your questions here in english and then I can translate it and ask them in swedish. If getting an answer I can then re-translate it back to english here.
is there really no thumbable on screen keyboard installed?
Everything I have seen so far indicates its just the basic WM keyboard! Which is an oversight as I only intend to use the slide out keyboard for long emails/sms.
Guess I will install touchpal pro when I get mine.

*clapping hands* good job SE! It's so simple and they didn't give it to us
more questions :
1. which version of SPB shell that can be downloaded for free? will it get any updates in the future?
2. is it true that we can only save 6 radio stations?
3. is there any unique software installed - like HTC's MP3 trimmer or Omnia's video editor? anything whatsoever?

X1 has a proper keyboard. Deal with it.
Can it playback videos in divx or xvid codec with a core player for example in full dvd-quality without converting it? Thats my biggest question. At rates about 1500-2000kbps? Fluid? I don't want to convert my movies. And I wanna see them all.. So, can you please question this? Thank you very, very much for this!!! Greez, cad^^
Why not asking if the final version will have the lateral screen orientation button as we can see in this image ?

The recent prototype doesn't have it, not even the symbol bellow the button as the old prototype has. SE disapoints day by day. If this comes true in final release of X1 and without accelerometer is a major disappointment for such a beautiful screen and device!
He did say you can set a shortcut key to switch orientation.
but which that extra button, i can assign other things to soft key.
I wouldn't mind setting that key the makes the panels turn to the flip through to the orientation change (if possible). I don't think i'd ever want to use anything but the full 9 on the screen.
My Kaiser has 5 buttons, plus soft keys to assign. Going to be hard to go to having none! Unless you can assign volume up/down which would give us 2 buttons. Maybe even camera button long press? Can someone who has their Xperia already (lucky dog!!) try this? I use my VoiceCommand button and Ok buttons constantly.

OK, we would have to loose other button which has other function, because none is free...
What's SE thinking by replacing a button for a hole in the device ? Does it look better this way ? Was it necessary ? That button should be very very expensive comparing to the others so they removed, it can be only that
REgarding the earlier question on SPB - its not the program - its a panel incarnation of SPB Mobile Shell (available for download now at SE's site). Your guess is as good as mine as to whether it'll be supported with updates. I'm picking that skins for SPB won't work in this panel version.
Please ask why accelerometer has not been included, and also why the dedicated button for screen rotation has also been removed.
What level of support, updates and upgrades can we expect for the X1?
What are SE's plans for Xperia line?
Will WM7 be supported in the future? Will X1 be upgradable to WM7 when available?
Will qwertz keyboard layout be coupled with english WM? Are there more qwertz keyboards (special characters) available to choose from?

This game is about gravity and balls. With the movement of your hand (left/right tilting) you control the paddle that explodes the balls. Tilting up and down changes the gravitational force applied to the balls. This way you can accelerate them, slow them down or even make them fly to heaven again...
Let me know about ideas, bugs or improvements!
*change log*
v 1.00
*added native WVGA support for Touch HD
*better response of the paddle to movements
*all new graphics and finger friendly user interface
v 0.93
*fixed backlight dimming while playing game
v 0.92 initial release
If you like GravityBalls consider a donation and buy me a beer.

I haven’t tried or downloaded the app yet but if the developer looks through Klaxon's source code it shows a method of preventing the backlight from turning off while the app is running.
Hope that helps, now to give this game a try...

Yes, download if you don't have it already, called Diamond Config. v3.3. Here you can do a lot more than just tweaking Gsensor polling.

I will look into this for next version of GravityBalls. It's not as easy as copy&paste from Klaxon's source because I don't use the .Net CF. GravityBalls was made using PPL (Pocket Programming Language).

I'm afraid tweaking the GSensor polling won't help here. I poll for the data 10 times per second; if I try shorter intervalls the GSen-data freezes and becomes kind of static. I heard other programmers had the same problem, even though with the "native" .net SDK for the GSen the polling intervalls might go down to about every 32ms polling and still workin fine.
It somehow depends on the general CPU usage of your device in the moment of polling - and GravityBalls really graps every CPU-cycle it can

Nice little game....good job! ....and yeh, wish the gsensor was more sensitive. Find that it can be a little tough to get the paddle from one end to another quick enough. Found out a little technique though, is to hold the device almost face up so that the balls don't come down full speed.
p.s. on a side note...the sound choice for this game makes me laugh!

Yes, tilting up and down changes the gravity. Clever use of it can prevent quite a few balls from not being exploded. Even in the higher levels with the balls coming down quickly you won't survive too long without using this. You might even reverse gravity's direction and let the balls fly up again...
Uhmm, yes. The sound. Nice one, right!?
I posted a new version 0.93 for download. The backlight dimming during gameplay is fixed now.

hey, works great on my shadow 2009. The only problem is that it is not a touch screen device. Is there any possibility that you could make it so that some of the features can be accessed from the key pad? Most notably choice to retry or exit the game.

2 modes: Clippers and Electric Razor
Press action button (center of D Pad) to start / Press action button again to stop

On Touch pro the graphics flicker, though.
It would be fun if you made another version for shaving, you'd just need to change the graphics and angles of activation.
Can I request that you have an option to turn off the vibration in the next release?

Funny thing! When testing- i found the vibration actually had an effect on the GSensor - its not that i "desensitised" it, (i think I settled on a poll time of 100ms and rotation of approx +/-60 degrees from face down). I may take another look!
Thanks everyone for the kind comments.

Yeah, thank you very much.
I really missed a working actionscreen on the TP2.
Due to the new Bluetooth driver the one for the Xperia wasn't working anymore.
You made me as happy as with your ROMs back then
sorry, but can you tell me what is it and what does it do?
(sorry for my english)
Have a look at the screenshot. It's an action screen that allows you to select certain actions like new SMS, appointment, task etc.
Works nice! Good to see my BT is working with this version.
Gonna make some changes myself:
- Left softkey to ActionScreen
- No conformation for soft reset
Attached the left softkey for who's interested.
Works fine!
Especially the one-click Wifi switch is very clever.
The only thing is the problem of hitting the powerbutton while typing in landscape mode.
It will launch this app while you're chatting, very annoying.

Hello,
This tips is good if you do not use the TF3D ... otherwise it is replaced by the one from the TF3D ...
Do you know where to modify it in the TF3D ?
Thanks.
Personally I am trying to avoid pushing any buttons, I'd rather have an option on the screen like a shortcut in the Start Menu or something.
Would that be possible?
Hello,
In the start menu, it is a shortcut. Not so difficult. After installing the cab above, you will go to "\Windows" folder and you search for "HTCActionScreen.exe" then you make a copy and after you go to the "Start Menu" folder and "Progams" folder and you make a "Paste shortcut".
And this is done.

I think that's the point, if he's anything like me, everytime I type in landscape mode, I accidentally end up holding the power button for 3 seconds with the side of my finger, I'm forever turning of the phone .
Nice app though, just going to put it on.
For those that don't want to confirm the Soft Reset action:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Biotouch\ActionScreen\APP_10]
"Param"="/s"
Attatched the REG file for those that want to import the file to the registry.
Don't forget to make a soft reset afterwards
This is awesome! I would love to have this app. Is there any way to make the icons a bit more colorful? Thanks so much!
hi! congratulations GREAT app.
is there anyway to change the icon (add + contacts) to one (close screen) without suspend the device. it is very useful to who wants to ear music from the speaker phone. cause when you turn of the device the music stops.
tnx in advance
Excellent! Thanks for thinking about us poor TP2 users!
Very interesting appl.
Does someone test it with touch pro stock rom ?(I have the italian one).
Thanks
Smaberg rocks
Welcome to TP2...I have been an avid follower of yours on Xperia forum...great to see you got a TP2.
Look forward to your inputs in making our TP2 way better than the great device it already is!!!
Hmm after installing i tried the application but it doet not work properly.
When i push the I/O button of my TP2 the screen becomes totally black... but when i touch a button (that i dont see) the rolloverbutton appears in green.
What can i do to make it work normally?
