hi all,
right i've tcpmp player on my xda2 like i guess everybody does...the problem is i use nero recode to rip, encode my dvd...nero recode encodes it to .mp4 video and aac audio...now tcpmp does support .mp4 video but not aac audio....i also have pocketdivx encoder but it doesnt support .mp4 video m sure its not a codec problem coz ive klite codec pak 2.5 installed..so questions
1.how can i make the tcpmp player play aac audio
2.or how can i make nero recode encode the audio to mp3 or .ogg
3. i also get a buffering error while playing video, so what exactly should b the buffering in kb for a smooth playbak...
guyz plz help...i dont want to use any other dvd ripper coz the quality of nero recode is real good
thanx in advance

hi guys i have a mda compact II and was wondering what formats media player supports as all my vids i throw at it are unsupported (and there avi) tcmp works ok ish but seems to be lag in video anyone know the best settlings for TCMP on this device
thanks in advance
AVI is just a container for various codecs, and WM10 can only handle a few (no XViD for instance).
Concerning TCMP, I guess the resolution of your video clips is just too high and the CPU cannot handle it.
cheers mate yeah it can handle none atall really lol (time to download super video converter again lol) also what is best res for my type of mda in tcmp ? as my treo 650 handles them all with no lag
cant work Avi vedios on the X1
i have tried the core player
TCPMP-0.72R
but there are some buttons missing (Blank) i have to blindly press on the button place.
vedios are not working well there is a lag and continuous interruption of play it freezes and work back again ?
does any one know a good avi player and flv player for the Xepria X1 too
Thanks Guys

Listen to this man ! He speaks the truth !!!
thats weird because i have no trouble with core player playing avi files, anyway that xperia optimized video converter/encoder is good
hi
i would just like to know that is there a difference with encoding a movie before watching it on the xperia because i have tried many programs and to be honest are probably a waste of time
with the new coreplayer program, just download a movie from the internet and move it over to the xperia and use coreplayer to watch it, plays perfectly, tried with many movies, no problems, the only waiting time i do i downloading the movie and moving it over
or am i missing something by not converting it??
I don't guess your movies are playing smooth in fullscreen @ very good quality.
umm nope, they perfectly fine as if i was watching the film on the pc , i have 5 movies on my xperia 700mb+ and work to perfection, never gonna use conversion again, waste of time!!!!!
try it out, download the latest coreplayer and play any downloaded movie, u'll be quite suprised!! , full screen playback.. beautiful !!
Is this CorePlayer commercial ?
Yeah it is the best player for non-converted movies. But normal 1CD movie plays at 80-90%, movies with higher bitrate even slower.
I know people who call that watchable, or even perfect. I'm not one of those.
" Is this CorePlayer commercial ?"
yes
their free media program is tcpmp player

Which - by the way - doesn't get updated anymore. (last time I checked, at least)
thats because the movies you download are already converted. most people who are doing the encoding are converting their dvd to a format that the xperia can play.

any downloaded avi file works on coreplaying including the hd ones
avi is not a real format though it's a container for other formats
like divX or xvid or many others ranging from good to poor codecs
but coreplayer seem to play every one I tried

hi.
I wouldn't call it perfect, but it is sooo damn near to it. I've just tested two movies and even with lots of action going on coreplayer dropped only few frames (although it was clearly visible). when I've changed quality to medium under preferences/video all the playback is butter smooth and lil' bit lowered quality is still better than waiting for ages to convert a video. btw: I am using qtv it tytn 2 comp. mode. I am so happy that I've bought this app. waiting for next releases..
^x2 but with TCPMP. it would chop out .avi files every 4 secs at high quality (not sure if it was divx or xvid) but if you change the video driver from DirectDraw to Raw FrameBuffer and change the quality from Normal to Low, it plays really smooth without losing too much quality.
... but still - with coreplayer qtv You get full speed almost all the time. high quality ofcourse... it is a shame really, that there is no demo for coreplayer so more people could actualy try it.
as im more concerned about video playback, can anybody tell me what resolution it plays without any problem(avi mp4 or mkv with third party player) ?
With the original firmware from sony (2.1)... only 3gp and mp4.
thanks for the reply. and
what resolution in mp4 format?
and what if i flash with custom rom like 2.2 or 2.3 ?
i think i read some review on some website saying it plays upto wvga res videos.
Xperia x8 screen resolution is 340x480.
I read somewhere that it can play HD mp4 with some apps from market (stock player fails to play them).
For the custom firmware:
Its linux, you can do everythink that linux can do but you will have to program it first (codecs). So, everythink is posible.
Well, I use Rock Player universal version and it plays a lot of formats. It plays the usual avi DVDrips (~700mb) comfortably along with subtitles.
