increase the speakervolume - XPERIA X1 General

hi guys,
is it possible to increase the speakervolume?
maybe with a "volume-hack" or something?
in my opinion the speakervolume is too low e.g. at navigation announcements.
has anybody an advice?
greets
pi

I'm using coreplayer for audio and movies (preamp adds heaps of volume).
Not too sure about any hacks, but TT7 seems to be plenty loud enough for me. You may be able to download a louder voice for your nav software.

thanks for your reply, but i'm searching for a solution like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=428170
i have already tested this para-files, but it doesn't work.
can anybody help please?

hi,
i have tried to gain the navigation-speech-files (navigon), but it doesn't work...
has anybody another idea to increase xperia's speakervolume?

Sounds play like chipmunks!

Has anyone experienced their ringtones or music MP3s playing at a higher speed? Mine do play fast and at a higher pitch... sound like chipmunks!
Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks!
you ask me that sounds pretty cool  no sorry, haven't experienced this in any of the units i've used...
I found what it was:
I bought this game (http://www.handango.com/ampp/store/...178724&sectionId=0&catalog=30&topSectionId=-1)
and the sounds sped up after I had installed it! (weird, huh?) I have cured by uninstalling the game. I will reinstall it, copy the program files and then uninstall it again so i can still use it, but it doesn't mess up my sounds.
when someone calls you...do their voices sound like chipmunks as well hehehehe...sorry, couldn't resist it!
interesting how the other application somehow influences the overall phone application. i wonder if installing it in the memory card helps...? oh well, good luck then
Nope... sadly, it didn't make peeps sound like Alvin (that would've kicked ass
I think it puts some DLL or some other thing in the registry that fraks up the sound subsystem. It's fixed now

Volume Booster

Hello All,
I'm a newbie and I wanted to know if there is app any where like Volume Care that allows me to boost the sound of the device? I currently have a T-Mobile Wing.
Thx
Yeah i would like somethin like that to
Wow I'm surprised no one has tackled this one? Is it possible for me to develop something on my own? I have no programming skills but I would be willing to try it out.
yes..i'm interested also
Do you guys want this for the main speaker, handset's ear piece used during
calls or headphone output?

There are multiple threads running on this forum about boosting the volume using the registry. Did you check that out?
Maybe you should ask an admin if there could be a special section for the T-Mobile Wing (HTC Atlas). Keep in mind that a lot of tips and tweaks are already available for similar devices

I would like it for the main speaker personally. I don't think the volume of the handset's speaker is bad. More so I want to hear it when I have an incoming call but I don't think it would hurt to have something that controls all that can be adjusted.

When I do a search nothing seems to come up? If you have some keywords because I might be using the wrong ones, I'll gladly do the grunt work of search for a solution. Thanks

WOW, the main speaker is TOO loud in my case. Maybe your settings are off.
Another fix is making your own ringtones and tailoring the sound for more high
end. I'm sure you noticed how TV commercials ALWAYS seem louder, well it's
how they choose the sound mix do get that "loudness". I make all my
ringtones and they're bloody loud.

I agree the search function does s*ck
The way it works for me the best is:
Google >> Advanced >> Use 'http://forum.xda-developers.com' as domain. That's all

should work with the cabs that work for win 6.5
you have to search the forum for incall recorder
and then some1 with a hd2 has to try it to confirm, but I cant see why it shouldnt work

Its funny they copied exactly the same registry settings that I made a cab for *HERE* 8 months ago and put a pretty little interface on it
Can anyone please confirm that this phone can indeed record (clearly) both sides of a phone call and how it is done?
id like to know it as well, since i've been using it on previous HTC with pleasure. With the HD2 it only records our own voice.

I have tried ACR 1.1 and ACR HD, the latter looks nicer, but it doesn't work quite well. only records own voice. I haven't tried reg settings yet, maybe will give it a try. thnx

If it only records own voice - it is useless, it's not just "doesn't work quite well", it doesn't work at all to better put it.
Could you please test it with the reg tweak and let us know if it made it work properly?

Even if the registry tweaks dont work on the stock rom, in my understanding they pretty much always work on a custom rom so once olipro has worked his magic and done HardSPL for the HD2 the custom roms should allow 2 way recording.

I believe most of the people participating in this thread already know the speculation, otherwise the question wouldn't need to be posted, but we are waiting for a first-hand confirmation that this is actually possible and how exactly it is achieved.
I've tried with Resco Audio Recorder.
I hear my voice very well but the voice og correspondent is lower. Forced to pump up the volume to listen afterwards.

Previous solution for recording calls - works perfectly for Touch Pro 2 (2-way clear recording).
I install it on my new HD 2 - 1 way recording (record microphone + speaker echo). I'm very upset about it... I thought my new HD 2 is totally perfect... Now I need solution (if only it is hardware possible). Wish it is possible. It is very usefull function for me!
Sorry my English

This seems to confirm that the registry tweak wont work on a stock rom with the HD2.
Im afraid everyone who finds this function useful will have to wait until HardSPL is done so that custom roms can start being flashed and then hopefully the registry fix will work.
You think it is SOFTWARE problem, not HARDWARE?

Yes I do. For years it was assumed that HTC products werent capable of recording incoming calls because of Hardware limitations but someone discovered that all it needed was 3 registry entries to enable incoming recording. I made it into a cab and brought it to XDA and now thousands of HTC devices can record both sides of a conversation. Unfortunately I also discovered from feedback of people trying the fix that it only seemed to work on cooked roms (pretty much any custom rom), which means in the process of cooking a rom some part of the rom is either modded or a file added that makes the registry entries work.
We did start doing tests and thought it was linked to the cprog.exe file but noone bothered to take it any further.

[Q] Better Sound on W.M.+ REQ. for .dll

How can I improve the audio of my device?
1---The volume is very poor and the quality is very bad.
2---Is there a patch or a sound driver?
3---Is there a software or an equalizer that can help me?
4---Android have "5.1" option for the surround, why it doesn't exist on W.M.?
5---Can anyone upload "Wavedev.dll" or "Waveapi.dll" files? (They are in the "Windows" folder)
6---Where can I download loud ringtones?
Thanks
I tryed the equalizer of CorePlayer but it's not good...

You should ask Microsoft this question.
Thanks, I found also others app like WOWHD but I don't remeber the name...
and if someone want to develop something for the sound and for the "5.1"...
Another question:
7---My device has 2 speakers for the audio: a Front one for the Telephone and a Back one for the System.
Is there a way to reproduce the audio of my video and my songs from the Front Speaker (that usually is used for calls) and not from the Back speaker?

Why on earth do you need 5.1 surround playback on your mobile device?
Does your device have a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor - the only one I know of that brings the 5.1 surround sound theatre experience to mobile devices? Watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=GZBs7XoJvMI
Anyways, Windows Mobile is a dead OS and I'm afraid NOONE of the developers here will be willing to make efforts in writing a new "wavedev" driver for Windows Mobile ...

Did a quick Google-search and immediately found a solution for HTC:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/windows-mobile-software/60239-audio-router-switching-speakers.html
Probably for other devices also a solution exist. GIYF ...
I know W.M. is an old O.S. but for me it will be forever the best
I can found anything I want (the article on PPCgeeks that is just what I was looking for)
You didn't understand me, Surround playback can used with headphones (also worst Android phone do it)

So, are there any other solutions for now? The O/P from the headset is really bad, with some weird kind of music distortion. Has anyone tried using Viper4Android? If yes, can you post your settings?
