I've done a search of this forum & wiki, and the web, but I can't figure out where to get the themes that you guys have in the screenshots thread.
You all seem to take it as normal but I've no idea how to get started!
BTW, I have OzVGA on my Exec, is that going to be an issue?
If it's possible to convert them, I'd really like my PC's current theme!
(Clicky for big)
P.S. Is there a VGA Windows Media Player theme that gets rid of the nasty black bar at the base of the screen?
I am using Wisbar Advance as are quite a few others. The themes you need a are all over the internet, just google "wisbar theme" and you'll see what I mean.
For true VGA you will generally need to use QVGA themes, sounds daft but trust me.......
Here I'm using a vista theme for WA2 and WMP with the Expea2 extended theme for SPB Pocket Plus off the SBSH forum.
By the way, what XP theme are you using??
Hi Pug ,
where can i download the theme ...that u have attached in the previous reply. its really nice
plz give me the link to download
Many thanks,
Gopi

There is a problem with the WMP skin not keeping it's selection so the patched files are attached here.
Remember if you are using a "normal" display you need the VGA themes, if you are using TrueVGA you will need the qVGA with maybe the WMP VGA skins etc... Confusing but I didn't make the rules.

It's called Allion2 (it's on the dialog box in the screenshot!) There are a few different colour versions, "System" is the nice blue one.
Hi Guys,
I followed with interest over the last weeks the development of Themes for Spb Mobile Shell.
There were a lot of Themes posted for QVGA devices - however few or none compatible to 240x240 (eg Treo) or 320x320 (eg i780) square VGA Devices.
After an exchange with JOPIEJ (who contributed some square Themes) I would like to start this new Threat - as the original Threats really become a little bit too difficult to follow with numerous Posts every day!
So - pls start posting away yr Mobile Shell compatible sqaure VGA Themes!
I thought this was a great idea..... but i guess the 240 x 240 is a dieing breed...
Perhaps you guys can search the skins thread and look for jolpiej. He created a number of 240x240 themes.
Put them over here so people can refer to it.
VGA
Hi,
I would agree that 240x240 will die sooner or later - however new Devices like the i780 (and as far as I know this Device is selling quite well) as well as the upcomming Treo 850 have 320x320 VGA = there should be an increasing demand.
Hope that some of the Guys who did all this great work for current QVGA will find the time to convert to 320x320 VGA Versions as well.......just a silent Prayer

jopiej-
Many thanks to you- for your work on square VGA theme, from another treo 750 owner!
I've been lurking in this forum for a while, trying to learn how to make my own theme.
I'm just learning how complex it really is, but I haven't had the chance to compare files (and the necessary changes) for a VGA 240x240 phone. (The square VGA devices do not seem to be a favorite anymore.)
I'm looking forward to your new theme! (And hopefully, I can learn from your expertise!)
Thanks again!

First save your current theme files from device/program files/spb Mobile Shell into backup folder (If you unzip the new ones you will see the file names you need to save - they are the same - you will just 'replace' them.
Once you have backed up your original theme layout files, just copy the new ones into the same directory and soft-reset. Presto.
Galaxy Square 240X240 (Qvga)
Guys, here is Galaxy square themes.
I've prepared 2 layout for this :

Hopes you all like it.

More great work jopiej. Getting close to one theme for each day of the week!
@jopiej - Room for improvement?
Hi.
May I suggest you to include this weather icons in your wonderful creations?

Also, i tried to adjust the status icons from the original Diamond skin to work with your Diamond+PS3 (240x240) theme with little success... I think that this could be a nice improvement.
Thanks.

But there are no native VGA skins... In each case it's resized QVGA skin, so the quality is very poor ;(
Can anyone post their VGA themes here? I can't understand their language so I can't register
I'll try and dig up my hacked version of the iPhone VGA theme that was from the clownfish one on ppc-theme but without the fish background and put it up later on tonight.
Ok here's the files I used to get it working. I did some editing of the original clownfish files to remove their original background but still able to keep the icons and menu bar. Works like a charm for me. qa_layout and the games.reg enable the 9 button support.
Enjoy
clownfish = iphone vga clone that they did on the ppc-theme site.
Al i want is the diamond look in spb 2.1, like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=402021 ..... who can me help with that??

Is this a native VGA or a resized QVGA ?
Can you post some screen shots ?
I believe it's native vga. Like I said I just simply extracted the clownfish cabs and used the .dat files I needed and modified them accordingly to remove the fish background so I could just use the default colour theme backgrounds that come with it.
Basically it's the bottom menu bar, and the icon pack for the program menu. The rest is all default SPB stuff, but it works nice for me.
You can see some pics of basically what it looks like at the link below. Honestly I'm too lazy to screenshots and upload them, sorry, heh.

Is this all the themes that we can get ???
what are the chances to have some of the amazing stuff that posted in the SPB Mobile Shell 2.1 Theme / Skin Collections Thread ???

...hm, ok...do you really find these, which are mentioned for VGA ?
I have downloaded some and they looks excellent on my MDA Pro (which is 640x480).
BTW: At page 12 you find the Diamond theme in VGA.

Problem for me, my MDA has not enough memory and when I tried to open the weather panel, the PDA freeze

It's not really a VGA theme but a blown up QVGA. But I made a VGA version of the diamond touch clock which is used in the "layout_C_3_contacts_vga" theme.

Me too!!!!
I have received my new TP2 today. Awesome device, but I would love to install a theme like this one: http://www.mobilematt.net/FuzeBerry.html
I tried but no luck, once I have re-enabled TF3D and rebooted I only see a HTC logo with a flashing text "starting TF3D" - "click here to start". It seems to hang anyway.
So I was wondering if some users can post their -positive- experience with particular apps/themes on the TP2 so I don't have to go installing and removing all that don't work anyway....
Thanks a lot guys.... great forum you have here...
Nope. That's a VGA theme. Please look in the right section. Diamond has a vga resolution while TP2 has a WVGA resolution. Check out the blackstone themes, applications and software section for themes and software that should work on the TP2.
Whoops thanks
these were all tested on the USA T-mobile Tp2 running Touchflo 2.1.38165.1

Help
I installed these on my t-mobile tp2, but none of the files seemed to work. Perhaps I am doing something wrong? I rebooted after each install, but still nothing. Can someone help me out?
oops
Ok, I didnt realize that the themes needed to be installed on the device..which I tried after attempting to run them off the sd. However upon installation, my IM programs stopped working all togther, not to mention the overall sluggishness I experienced. I really like this theme set...any suggestions?
The only themes that will fully work for the touch Pro 2 are ones that are built only for this. I have 3 completed themes now and the interface is fully skinned all had to be made from scratch.

I could be wrong but I think whether or not a TF3D theme will work is not dependent on the device, but rather the TF3D version.
My theme (in my sig) was built for TP2, but installs and works fine on the Diamond2 as well. It also works on the Diamond if it uses a ROM that has TF3D version 2.
Hey crazy talk, are you going to be updating the 1st post with a list of links to themes? Because otherwise, this thread is going to just be another "post screenshot" + "oh, where did you get that?" conversation.
