Hi, what do I need to connect my Qtek 2020 with WIN2003SE to my wi-fi access point? Adapters, software etc.. I searched some info around but I still dunno what i need... please help me
Just a SDIO Wifi card. Do not but the cards with built in memory because that would not work.

The SDIO wifi card won't work with the 256MB built in memory with the Qtec 2020. The card without the memory from Sandisk works very well.
Anyone know if this wi-fi card works ok in the Magician and if you can use the sockets drivers with it?

Yes, I use it.
Have you tried the Ambicom card with the Socket drivers?
Is there a way xdaI (Wallaby) can connect to a wireless network?
all wifi SD cards are SDIO and xda1 dont support SDIO so not that i ever heard about

What about the MMC type cards or is that just another name for SD(SDIO)?
And what abuot COM1(SERIAL) on the bottom of the xda witch is used to connect to a desktop computer(SERIAL or USB), is there any kind of device which can connect to that port and is WiFi capable?
mmc and sd flash cards are the same interface
sd is a newer and faster (in general) then mmc
mmc is ONLY memory
sd when the device support SDIO can offer other features like WIFI and such
the serial connector in the buttom of the xda is special for the xda and other devices dont have the same connector as in the same wirering
supply and demand makes it unlikely that anybody would make a wifi
device which would work only for xda's
when all newer pda's support SDIO
also serial connection is way way way way slower then wifi and SDIO

THANKS!
Anybody know? I have tried so many now and am fed up!
All work ok'ish but all have problems. Need it to do WPA.
The one I have been using is the Sandisk 256MB +WiFi driver as this is more updated (does WPA) than the Sandisk Wi-Fi only driver, however it causes problems with my SD Mem card due to the mem driver part of it.
PLEASE could you guys post your results so far.
Want to create a definitive guide!
The Socket Communications driver for SmartPhones seems to work the best.
You can download it from here: http://www.socketcom.com/support/redirect.asp?URL=ftp://ftp.socketcom.com/wlan/SDIO_WLAN_Sagem.exe
Works perfectly!!!! Whoohooooo
Thankyou. Finally can use my Wi-Fi card in WM2005
Quiz question. I've been doing some research into SDIO wifi cards for WM2005 and my SPV M1000.
What i want to know is, What chipset do Socket SD WLAN cards use? Is it per-chance: "Inprocomm"
Reason i ask is, i've ordered a SAFECOM SD wifi card, which ive heard doesn't have drivers for WM2005, however, it use the above chipset.
Alternativley, does anyone have drivers for this model card, or a way to make it work?
Cheers,
Tim
