SPB Mobile Shell Pannel + Tasks - XPERIA X1 General

I was wondering if it would be possible for someone to create a way for SPB Mobile Shell to show the tasks as well as appointments? If it did than this really would be probably my most used panel.

Wisbar vs SPB Mobile Shell

I have been using Torx's iphone theme via WAD3 and WAD. I am fooling around with SPB Mobile Shell, but have not figured out how to customize it as easily as I can with Wisbar stuff via Author mode.
Just curious of opinion on who thinks which one is better and why?
Thanks!
Both applications are completely different. Wisbar wont have animations while switching pages on Desktop. Mobile Shell cannot spread icons the way you want. So choose what is important for you or have both!
In my opinion both are not adviced for Pro WinMo users..
Why wouldn't you advise it? I love my Wisbar and WAD. And recently I've tried SPB Mobile Shell because of the Diamond theme (seems to be the next hype, same way it was with iPhone themes)

I am also trying mobile shell - what is the difference between the Now and Today screens? I am guessing you disable the Today screen by unchecking everything?
Thanks
I have found that SPB Mobile Shell drains the battery faster than just plain HTC Home, which is really sad as I love the Diamond theme...
If you want animation(mobile shell benefit) on transition pages..wait for WAD2(animation added) to be out..it will beat mobile shell for sure
WAD vs. SPB Shell
WAD is a application replacing your default WM today screen. You have to add the shortcuts to the apps you want (you can make it Finger Friendly).
SPB Shell is as it says a shell around WM so all the shortcuts are available. It's Finger Friendly and has some nice extra stuff in it. It's not skinnable by default (just minor different looks), but some people here at XDA have managed to create some great skins.
Today vs. Now
Today is the standard WM desktop
Now is a overview page in SPB Shell (with time, weather, appointments, email, sms and missed calls)
Yea, with WAD, and WA3 together, its almost like giving your phone's OS a makeover. I like WAD better but until I finish making a good theme, I'll be using SPB Mobils shell most likely
Both Work Well Together on o2 XDA Flame
Using both - WHY - Like the startup screen & easy system settings - and like the menu's of WAD - Maybe someone will develop both in one - and yes, it's like a full makeover ! The Flame does have lots of internal storeage space & a Nvida vid card - Come on xda developers - lets see something in the future

SPB Mobile Shell Panel Background?

Any one know how to change the background of the SPB Mobile Shell Panel?
Or The SE Panel 1 and 2?
I just really dont like the plain boring backgrounds that are available for the SE panels and i cant change the background at all with SPB

spb mobile panel customization?

hi,
cant seem to find a help for it..
can the panel be customized as per the SE panels? blocks etc
anyone pls?
I am also looking for a way to customize the SPB panel. Cant find anything about it. Only way to make a customized SPB is by installing SPB mobile shell 2.1 and install any WVGA skins on the phone.
But i noticed a performance issues when i did that. SPB panel is diffidently utilized for xperia and it runs very fast.
you can customise it via one of the settings screen on the Settings panel however it is pretty basic.
Having said that I am fairly impressed with the shell - it is just a shame it is not the full blown mobile panel.
I believe you can customize it the same way you customize spb mobile shell full. U just have to make the images the right sizes. I installed Greatbal's wvga theme but the images were slightly off.
hi, when i go to install the spb shell it tells me that the previous one must be unistalled first. The only other spb i have is the spb panel. If i install the shell will it uninstall the panel?
Yes, it uninstalls the panel, but you can then use the SBP Menu on Panel 1 and on the fish panel also. I currently use it this way, works very well.

Which UI interface has "tasks" available?

Hello,
I can see neither TouchFLO no SPB mobile shell allow you to see tasks (only calendar events) on home screen. Anybody knows any other shell which will allow stylus-free access and still show tasks on home screen?
Thanks,
G
Try Manila Control: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=447504
You can run TF3D and have a second today screen showing you all your ergular WM homescreen info.
Thanks,
Good solution untill (if) HTC will incorporate tasks in home screen.
Try Bell UI
Wow that's a cool find. Thanks.

Hi!
I'm using Second Today and there I'm using Today Agenda which shows me both appointments and tasks. Highly configurable and well working. Both are freeware.

SPB Mobile Shell 3 as a seperated Panel?

Hey is it possible to use SPB Mobile Shell 3 as an own panel beside the normal today screen?
As far as I know there is no possibility to install SPB Ms 3.0 as a panel yet. But do more research before you believe my comment : )
