Hi
I wonder if some one else has the same problem with SMS writing. When i write a sms message the courser is not adjacent with the words. example
" Abcd efgh ijk[l mnop " the courser appears behind the stream of writing. then when i want to correct a letter in the middle of a text i never get to the specific place for example if i want to correct the letter K i can not get to the exact spot the courser is on the k but it deletes another letter .
[---> is the courser.
Thanks
No problems with me. used Keypads and Letter recogniser, no problem. May be you can try re-aligning the screen again.
i re-alignind the screen but no change same problem.

Hi there! Been using my Qtek S100 for a couple of days now, and enjoying it more and more every day!
But, I've been experiencing a quite annoying problem.
As said in the topic, PocketMusic f***s with Letter Recognizer.
It is noticed like this:
Have PocketMusic running. You don't need to be playing music or so, just have it in memory. Then you try to type a message or something using Letter Recognizer. Then, some letters will NOT work as they do normally. For example:
According to the software, you can type the letter "t" either by:
1. Drawing a vertical line, lifting the stylus, and then drawing a horizontal line a little above center on the vertical line.
2. Same as above, but without lifting the stylus.
3. Typing it as a 7.
Now, when PocketMusic is running in the background, only version 2 and 3 works! When you try to do it as nr. 1, you see that a "t" shows up, but skips back to an "l" instead, but fast as a blink. The same applies to the letter "i", which you can't type by drawing a vertical line from top to bottom and then putting a dot on top. It will become an "l" instead there too!
So, it seems that, while running PM, you can't lift the stylus while typing a letter. Maybe this isn't too annoying for most people since you can type the letters in other ways, BUT, for me being a scandinavian, I can't type the scandinavian letters åäö AT ALL!
Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone know what to do about it? (Other than turning off PM, telling me that would only insult my intelligence) Does anyone know if this problem is old? I seem to recall having this problem years back on my Pocket Loox 600, but I'm not entirely sure...
There must be other people experiencing this problem, please share your experiences and solutions!
Thanks,
Petter
I have noticed the same thing, thought i was just going senile! Must be a bug or something, does anyone know?

I know. Anything you try to write that can't be written without lifting the stylus wont work!
And for me, it is definately PM. Shut it down and it works perfect... Wonder what messes with you.
Anyone has anything on this one? Come on guys! This problem is old, someone must know!
For me works only in case of Hard reset...

Primoz
p.s. Any suggestions or tips are wellcome...
Hi guys
Having 2 problems on my Magician (O2 XDA Mini)
Firstly, when I write out a new SMS, the indicator down the bottom suggesting how many characters I have used up (i.e. 122/160) keeps changing the maximum amount of characters available in an sms and splits it between 2 messages for no reason, even though I'm under the character limit. Often, it changes the limit to 70 characters, and makes me send more than one message (i.e. 28/70, 2 messages). ANY tips/suggestions?
Secondly, when I try to use either of the 2 hard buttons on the bottom of the phone (calender/contacts buttons) an error comes up on the screen saying:
"Cannot find 'O1Button' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and all the required libraries are avaailable.
Any help with either problem would be greatly appreciated

Nick,
I guess you have de-installed an omega one app. All you have to do is re-assign youre buttons via 'settings-buttons'. This worked for me after removing the omega one apps.
Greetings, Mike
Thanks for that, my problem is now fixed for the buttons.
Has anyone else experienced that Messaging problem? it is really really annoying...
thanks!

The default SMS alphabet uses 7 bits per character, packed in 140 bytes inside the PDU. The default alphabet contains most of the usual 96 ascii characters, a limited selection of accented vowels (upper and lowercase AEIOU with grave accent, E with acute accent, AOU with diaeresis, N with tilde, AE, O with slash, A with ring, C with cedilla and german sharp S), and a selection of greek letters (the ones which have no latin equivalent).
If you enter any letter not in this set, say a vowel with acute accent (except e), the Y with any accent or something along these lines, whole the message gets to be transmitted in unicode format, with every character using two bytes, leading to 70 available characters per message.
Moreover, a concatenated message requires a 6 bytes user data header, stealing further 4 characters from every single part...

i had the same problem few days back.. i tried in the options of sms (tools) and unchecked some option like use indent or somethin..u jus figure it out.. im a bit lazy to open my device now.. b happy tat i wasnt lazy to reply..
Hi I just recently installed "real VGA" 128 dpi and sometimes when I go to send a text message and I hit the first letter on the keyboard of the person I want to text instead of the list of ppl with that letter coming up the last person I dialed comes up. The list will not show up unless I do a soft reset. Does anyone else have this problem or an answer maybe?...Thanks, TJ
HI,
I know the HD2 has predictive text, but does it have auto-corrective text, ie if you're typing and hit the wrong key, does the HD2 recognise what you were meant to type and automatically correct it?
Cheers
Hi,I don't think so , predictive text show only different words that all . If you type a wrong letter, the word will be different .
It's an option:
>Settings >Locale & Text > Text input > Spell correction
Stephen
Yes, it does have predictive text to a certain extent. If you hit incorrect keys next to correct keys it's still able to determine the word you intended to type.
While we're here, has anyone managed to call up the 'compact qwerty' keyboard as shown on page 116 of the .pdf manual?
spell correction is selected on my HD2 but it you type a wrong letter , the word you want first doesn't appear in the list .
So got my phone today, everything else works fine but the scandic letters (ä, ö, å) dont show in almost every app and in the settings.
So whats the problem with that? Its a bit anoying to example try to write a message when i dont see the scandic letters. Yes i can write them but i dont see them in some Apps.
Edit. It doesn't help if i change the android language to English. Example. SwiftKey doesn't show me the scandic letters in the prediction bar.
Edit2. The problem is very weird, in some apps (Facebook, whatsapp), in some lines the scandic letters work and in some lines it doesn't show. So example in Facebook in someone's post it shows the scandic letters but in the next one it doesn't show.
Edit3. Factory reset solved the problem
