I found an app with which you could do a Soft without pressing the red button, but simply by pressing a button or icon.
Can you tell me where I can found this soft?

Soft reset
I install "Soft Reset.zip (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333940) and it works very well.
Extract .zip file and copy SoftReset.exe in \windows\Menu Démarrer\Programme
Or use this one: psShutXP Power Key by dharvey4651.

Does anyone know how to hard reset the Herald by buttons?
The Comm.manager + Voice command + reset trick doesn't work
Of course system restore can do the job as well but I like to do it by the buttons (or in case the whole system is hanging).
It is the same as Trinity and artimes

Hard reset on the artemis is
Press both soft keys and insert stylus into soft reset button and press.
Release the soft reset button and keep pressing the soft keys.
When the "This operation will delete all your personal data, to manufacturer default" appears on screen.
Press Green call button to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel.
can anyone confirm this works on the herald so it can be placed in the wiki.
Also can someone try a sdhc memory card on a herald to see if it works or not - i hear conflicting reports.

Well, hello there!
I.
Recently I wanted to move (or to copy) Task Manager (Task Manager.exe) in Windows/Start Menu/Programs and did not succeed.
I tried through (3) ways, via:
1. computer (phone connected via activesync)
2. phone's File Explorer
3. Resco File Explorer
None of them ways let me move or copy that file (windows protected?).
II.
On the other hand, is there a way to restart the phone without taking the battery cover and remove the battery or press the red button ( a combination of buttons, maybe)?

Soft reset
Gid day.
I beleive that you can do a soft reset by pressing the End/Power button for about 3 seconds and you will be taken to a screen with a number of options. The top option is Power Off. Pessing that will power down the unit then all you have to do is power it back up again.
I know it is a long winded way of doing things but it's the only way I've come across so far.

That file is on the ROM(read only memory), you can't move it. make a link to it instead.
There are several programs that let you put alink to shutdown/restart on your phone. I use xdashutdown, but there are others.
On the roms that are 6.5.x with no start button like on the HD Mini where it is just phone and menu is there a way to get a cab from someone the will put the start button back or no go. By start button I mean the windows flag button? Thanks!

1. To Enable Soft Start Key

I found that the home key has something to do with the biotouch.dll file in accident.So i contacted my awesome friend zxlch and asked him to modify this biotouch.dll file.A day later ,he told me he made it work well……
vale,some introduction ,first of all ,make a bakeup of you system because we are going to replace the biotouch.dll in \windows.so put biotouch.dll in \windows after you have backed up,and then rename the shortcut which you want to run when you press the home button zxlchEXHDHomeKey.lnk and also put it into \windows,reboot you HD ,at last run the zxlchEXHDKeyLoader v0.1.exe,enjoy it ……
my friend made it in only a very short timebecause he is very busy. so it is not so convenient right now ,he said he will make it better when he is free.Anyway now the home button is no longer useless……
problems to be fixed:even your HD is locked,the home button still works ……
