Battery Status can drain Wing battery quick???

hello, i have a T mo wing with touch it 2.3. i just install battery status 1.04 beta2. and the battery seem to drain quite fast. Any advice on the battery status setting to slow down battery drain. I do not want to over clock anything by the way. just like the battery icon in the home page. thank you !
Batterystatus wont drain your battery faster unless you overclock it. Anyway here other Options..
1) if you've resco explorer, they bungle today plugin(free with resco explorer(shareware)) with it, which can show battery
2) sbsh ilauncher also shows battery
3) spb pocket plus
4) batti(Freeware), while does not show battery info on today screen, shows it right above the topbar
i think what kdskamal was initially getting at (mayb) was that some cooks set batterystatus to overclock as the default setting, so you should check that this has not been done first.
I know you didn't want to try overclocking but if power consumption is such an issue you should consider trying the cpuscaler...i don't use it myself but I've heard that it makes a noticable difference. Apart from that all you can do is change the WLAN setting to best battery, (if you use WLAN alot) and keep the screen brightness down (yeah no sh*t!.)
hope that helps
Backlight may be the case. In touch it, the backlight is set on the extreme. This can be the cause of quick battery drain. Try stepping it down a little

Prolong and Extend Battery Life

I have noticed a massive reduction in my battery life after setting my trinity to use push email. I came accross the following websites which give advice for saving battery life.
http://www.mydigitallife.info/2006/...obile-5-devices-by-enabling-power-management/
http://wmexperts.com:80/articles/howto/how_to_increase_battery_life_o.html
Can anyone shed any light on what doing the registry hacks actually does. By saving battery life they obviously are changing some settings but what are they changing. Before I do them what differences am I going to notice? Will something just not work?
Any help would be appreciated before I set them.
I found the answer myself if anyone is interested.

Does anyone have any tips to improve battery life without reducing perforrmance?

I have an official 1.66.405.2 ROM with radio 2.06.51.07. Initially I used to get about 1.5 days battery life with moderate use. I then installed some opera tweaks which has improved performance but now battery life is getting to 1 day or under. Anyone have any tweaks/tips or cabs to improve battery life without reducing performance. For example do you recommend a particular radio or should I alter data disconnection. I have tried disabling all data connections by holding the R softkey which does help.

[Q] Battery and WP7

So i went with WP7 on the HD2 and love it.
The only issue i seem to have is the fact that the battery is draining pretty fast. It was full this morning and its only been 6 hours and its at what appears to be 30% (its hard to tell without percent icon)
I installed the xmod rom.
Is this normal? is there a fix? I see lots of things when i do search on registry fixes, but i dont know much, if anything about registry editing this rom nor what it means.
Any advice is apreciated.
Battery drainage is a common issue. You could try some regediting and see if that helps. Just search around the forum to find out how to do it.
Is this drainage going to screw up the battery? I have a spare, just prefer not to have to waste a good battery
On my phone I've found no difference with battery drainage...
check this out:

At the first release from DFT, i had a batterylifetime from 6 up to 7 hours as a maximum.
Now i will test a newer ROM, so i would tell ya!

How to improve cm10 battery life?

Hey guys, I am starting this thread to let people share their view about the cm10 nightly battery life and ways to improve that. I get 16h of battery with 3h screen on time and some wifi and texting But the cell radio consumes 35% battery I dont know how to fix this. Can someone come up with a fix for this?

Install Ds Battery saver and turn it onto Aggressive. It will definitly increase your battery time whith 30-40%

I have the following build.prop parameter included...seeems to make a little difference...
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=1
pm.sleep_mode=1
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=120
also i use "die_hard battery" script to calibrate my battery ..if running the script try the "NOBOL Technique"... it works fine for my and gives my an extra of 3% battery on top.. it´s not really amazing but better then nothing
check background processes .. delete everything you don´t need from autostart..also there might be some system apps you don´t use ..which can also be deleted. I have done this with titanium backup...
with this i have 11 user processes running whihc are really necessary for me ..and battery life around 24 - 30 hours ..depending on how heavily used my phone
Don´t forget to create a cwm backup before change something !!!
