In-Call Volume control disabled / unfunctional when HTC-Dialer is disabled [SOLVED] - Touch HD General

Hi,
I have the problem that the in-call volume control on my HD doesn't work... First I thought it was an s2u2 issue, but after a herd-reset without installing any programs I found out that the problem seems to be related to switching off the htc dialer (I have to do that as I want to use the phone in landscape mode and there still seems to be no solution toi make the htc dialer properly work in landscape). So: HTC-dialer switched off by reg-key: in-call volume control doesn't work, switching the htc dialer back on, in-call volume control works again...
has anybody made similar experience, are there any suggestions for a workaround?
regards jan
Edit: This wonderful cab has done the job for me... HTC Volume control is deactivated, WM6.1 standard volume control is there instead and works without problems, also in-call...
Thanks!!

Mute Incoming Ring Sound

Hi i got a problem here.
If i did not remember wrongly, HTC Touch HD has a function had can mute incoming call ring by facing down the phone, and i remember that i had test tis function when i first got the phone and it it working.
But now after testing some software tis function seem to be gone...i knew i can tweak it by editing registry, but so there a option in the phone by default?
Or I can tweak it with Advanced Config V3?
Pls correct me if i am wrong, is it true that Flip Phone to mute the ringtone is a default for HD and there is no option to turn it off by default?
I found that tis flip phone to mute ringtone function works intermittmently for my phone!!! What could cause the problem? It is activate by G-sensor or the light sensor?
I tired it on mine and if Gyrator2 is running it is not working. I've setted up Gyrator to rotate only for events that I have specified - so it shouldn't influence this. Anyone has any ideas how to fix this?
***++bump++***
It doesn't work for me either!
I discover that it is working if i set to vibrate!!!
I got the same problem yesterday.
Today, I saw your post and test it in vibrate mode, and found that it works.
Then I switch ringtone on, it also works..........
and I now know how it works.
If you set it to vibrate mode **OR** ringtone mode, you can flip to mute.
If you set to **BOTH**, it doesn't works........

I tink it works intermittently, if u flip the phone a lot of times it may work.
Anybody who has a HD w/o any software installed care to test?
Cos i remember that after i hard reset it can work when i set to vibrate and ring.
For me its random, I can have it on Ring only or ring and vibrate and sometimes in either case it will work and sometimes it wont work. I tried slowly flipping it and swiftly and agressively. Nothing.

In-Call Volume

Hi everybody,
I'm not hoping to get any answers for my question (just like my other questions) but I have an issue with my Touch HD, can anybody help me?
When I'm talking to a person on the phone, pressing one of the volume rocker buttons causes the volume in the "Ring" section of the volume manager to change ... Is this normal? Or my device is faulty?
And ... even if I go to the "System" section and play with the volume rocker buttons, I feel no difference in the sound of the person I'm talking to ... What about this issue? Has anyone else had the same issue? Is there something wrong with my device? Is it something related to Auto Volume settings?
Please ............. please help me.
I have the same problem. Incoming call not loud enough and no way to fix this problem.
hi,
maybe you have changed the dialer skin to the WM-original one? If the HTC-dialer is disabled i've noticed exactly this problem (and also that the Bluetooth symbol isn't shown if BT is activated). The only way to have this working is enabling the HTC-dialer again...
bye

Hi and thank you.
I've installed Inesoft Phone and hence I use it dialer for dialing, but as you also mentioned, when the number is being dialed, the original WM dialer is shown. I really like Inesoft Phone; is there any way to switch to HTC-dialer just for the "dialing" and "In call" screens?

Fix Mute Ring

Hi, having a problem with a touch dual.
When a call comes in there is no way to mute the ring if you dont want to answer.
On every other HTC phone ive had i can press either of the side volume buttons (up or down) and it mutes the ring.
The buttons work fine when in a call (call volume) or when there is no call to adjust the system volume.
Has anyone else seen this, is there a registry fix as its a real pain in the 4ss.
PS HTC website said to turn the phone upside down but as the phone doesnt have a G sensor, this surprisingly didnt work haha.

No ringtone/message sounds

Strange one no ringtone or message sounds and mediaplayer not working, but will play music and sounds function in my sat navs. i did remove rings folder from windows but replaced it again. Any suggestions
Happened to me too.. Just did a soft reset and it worked again. Only happened once in a month.
had to use sprite image to restore soft reset didn't cut it.
Me too
Used sense player yesterday for first time with set of sony headphones, also watched a movie on coreplayer. Was working fine.
But today I now do not have any 'system' sounds i.e. ringtone, notifications, sense player.
Sound in all other apps is fine.
When I try to change ringtone in settings, it won;t accept it and registers my choice as 'none'.
Any ideas?
Could be volume down in another app? Or BSB tweaks?
I had this problem - solved it through two different issues:
First, I had lost my ringtone. I was using copilot live sat nav & didn't realise that the volume is automatically muted when you receive a call whilst using sat nav. It is worth checking both the touch screen volume in copilot and also the rocker button volume, just check they are both set to max & not muted when you exit copilot. You may have another app (e.g. coreplayer) that has its own volume that somehow affects the system volume settings that your ringtone uses.
I also had lost notification sounds - I then remembered I had installed BSB tweaks and had turned one the LED notification options. When I turned these back off again, my notification sounds returned.
Worth a try.
This should work ...
There's another thread on this issue, including my reply to solve the issue. Well, it worked for me, and it was very simple.

Download volume + from market
download Audio Manager or Audio Manager Pro from market (free vs paid)
can adjust every volume, create profiles and widgets
OR Remove your phone from your ear > unlock any lockscreen (if you have any) > adjust volume > put phone back to your ear
