hi there,
i got a serious problem of the camera lately and don't know what's wrong with it. when i try to take a photo and save it (which i click on the arrow and returns to the taking photo screen), but it doesn't success, either save it in sd card or the phone device. however, i can take and save other photo, such as the contact person photo, photo with the frames, just can't do it in the normal one.
i tried to reset the phone but no luck. anyone knows how to fix it? it is very annoying and hope you guys can give me some advises, thanks

The hard reset sets all settings to default.
Back up all your data first, then read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=453324
do you have other advise about to sort out this?
sorry that i am new and i am not quite sure which backup software i should use, and one stupid question, once i backup the data and restore it, will it have all the same files, programs and folders etc as b4?
thanks and i will try to look for a software to use. cross my finger!
i tried hard reset but it still has the same problem, anyone has some suggestion what else i can do? thanks

I've just tried to unhide my extended rom with help of 2 registry keys. now my device does not boot up. It stays on white blank screen.
What can I do ? (other than hard reset ?)
Is there a way to boot up without reading registry keys ?
is there a way to edit the registry of a not booted device ?
or any way to open device without reading registry ?
Well, I'm only a newbie myself, so I don't know if this will help. I unhid my own extrom yesterday with reg tweaks. There we more than two changes to make, mind you, including the addition of a dword value that didn't exist on my 8525. You don't offer what type of device you are using, so that might limit how much help you get here, btw.
Anyway, have you tried soft resetting by using the stylus in the hole at the bottom of the device? That MIGHT do something different and let you get into the system.
There is a safe mode that some 3rd party offers ... I think SPB PocketPlus...but that won't help if it's not already installed, and I'm not sure it would help in your circumstance.
Anyway...good luck. I hope this, or someone else's advice can help you.

What you didn't have a comprehensive back up!! Oh dear dear dear. That's a hard lesson I learned a while back. Now I could happily hard reset right now and be fully back up and running in say 10 minutes with SPB backup. A lesson for all.
Mike
in fact I am using SK tools for backup. but my backup was too old.
This is a new device and I installed a lot of software lately.
Well, look on the bright side, you have cleared out all the 'stuff' that builds up on a system after a lot of installing and uninstalling, and you're sure to build it better this time. It's just irritating that this kind of thing usually happens when you have no time.

Mike
exactly ))
well its going well now...
just losing time.
I need a little help.
After a crash I hardresetted my Hermes and then used SK Tools to return to a backup point. But now when I try to activesync I get a message on my PC saying that the mobile device has already synced with another PC and it requests a new name for this PC.
I haven't synced with another PC. What shoukd I do ?

You will have to provide more detail as it depends on what you did. When you say you bricked it, what were you doing and what failed?
If you hard reset it, everything will be as it was when you first got it so your contacts and any other changes you made to the phone will be lost.

What changes were made that may have caused the problem?
You still be able to get around using the Start Menu, at least until the phone freezes as you say.
if the phone boots but tf3d just freezes, just go to start, settings, personal, today - items tab, scroll down the list, deselect tf3d - sync phone with pc (this backsup contacts - hard reset - sync to pc to restore your contacts.

nope no start menu! i tried to go in and delete OZ IM cuz it was extremely irratating me and i tried soft reset and it would only load to start screen
Hi clampi, what happens when you connect it to your PC? if you can still active sync you should be able to back up a lot of files and stuff if you need to hard reset, it doesn't sound like it is broken though, just messed up, you just have an unpleasant hill to climb. I have not gone through anything like this since I had an Artemis, when I learned to use SPB backup, free trial available, now whenever I do something which I think may potentially bugger up my phone, like digging holes in my registry, I use SPB backup first. Sometimes I just make a backup, hard reset and restore just for the hell of it, I think it can help smooth out/de-frag memory. Any way good luck sorting it out.

RTFM...
There are instructions in your owner's manual on how to do a hard reset. For the CDMA Diamond, it is Power, Vol Down, DPad Center, and reset. Might be different for TP.
Regardless, you are far from bricked.

yea i kno what im sayin! i was sayin thank you for telling me how n i was gonna do it after i restored my contacts!. and i kan get my TP to acticesync but when i try to save my contacts it says Outlook has not been installed! im on windows Vista
Install Outlook and try again. I think you can download it from Microsoft's website (at least as a trial).
Instructions are on page 126 of the manual for the Touch Pro.
Here's what it says;
To perform a hard reset:
With the device turned off, press and hold the Volume Down and Enter keys first, and then press and hold the Power key until you see the following message on the screen: <Warning Message>
Release the Volume Down, Enter, and Power keys, and then press the Volume Up key to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.
hello i am a new member and i am teasing my diamond.i tryed to do this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=460295 and ι made the mess!!please help
now i see only the "ok" and "help" menu before opening the TF3D menu screen.
since it's installed by cab, i believe you can just uninstall it. First disable TF3D.Then uninstall and enable TF3D again. think that atleast will restore youre TF3D to normal.
yes dfenz we had the same conference but i install it at the internal memory and now it doesnt exists
If worse comes to worst you can hard reset your Diamond. Look in the wiki on how to do this
oh no please not again...there is something that i can do.

Trust me it is better to hard reset. I had a problem like yours and doing the hard reset did the trick.
i was using meta trader 4 program and it prompts for live update.. the update always fail so i had to click ok to delay update everytime i use..
however on ocasions it may just hang..
hence starts my cycle of taking out the battery or poking the reset button time and time again to reset..
after one fateful reset, programs like sktools tdkeyboard wvga3fix no longer works.. it states that " either the cert is invalid or component not found "
any idea whats up? corrupted file system ?? but there is no scan disk like our pcs ..
lol dont tell me hardreset is the only way... oh sigh

I'm sorry, normally I wouldn't suggest resets because too many people use them as a lazy way out instead of a last resort as they should be, but looking at the problem you're having, it think it will save a lot of stress trying to find and then fix the problem if you do just hard reset.
u tryed reinstalling SDKcert.cab ? else there ist no way around the thing we dont talk about in this thread
i did a harden reset lol sigh now the painful process of reinstalling
My phone is unaccessible since wrong registry changing. (Black Screen after BIOS Screen) and I want to fix the registry.
Is there any program to access my PDA's registry in my PDA's condition???
NEED HELP, so urgent.
PDA= WM 6.1 pro
Try with the program in the attachement. It can change the registry with activesync.

Hi, EmZvr, thank you for your response and application, I appreciate it much.
Unfortunately it doesn't work because, My PDA could not boot into the OS (it hangs after BIOS Screen) so my PDA has no active partnertship (activeSync) to my PC.
Any Idea?
Hi MyMailx,
i appreciate there would be no possibility to access your device. I think the only way to fix it will be a hardreset.

Hi Bernhard, Thank you for your reply.
I read mostly the situation like this, performing HardReset is the best solution but I'll try to fix the problem before option HardReset I do, because I really want to save my email and especially my SMS before hardreset. It's worthed more than thousands dollar.
Could it possible through performing bootloader???
