cprog.exe error when pressing Phone on touch screen - Touch HD General

Hey guys, i have installed the Yota Phone app, and for some reason when i press the hardware button for the PHONE, it works and goes to Yota Dialer, but when i press PHONE on the actual screen in the bottom left hand corner with my stylus, i get an error which says:
"A problem has occurred with cprog.exe.
Please tell Microsoft about this problem, at no cost to you. The data is used exclusively to improve products."
and not only that, but when i click on the on screen PHONE button, not only do i get the error, but also m y reception bars go away and i get an exclimation mark "!" with the antenna symbol. But when i press on the hardware PHONE button, everything is fine and i remain having full service.
how can i fix this???

Wallaby bootloader v5.15 when switched on

hi i recently switched on my phone witch worked perfectly ok before i switched it of and left it with my brother.........now when i switch it on and after a bit of fiddleing with the buttons i cant get it to boot up. all it will say is
"Wallaby
bootloader
v5.15 "
when switched on.
When i hit the contact button up the top right hand side
it displays a white screen which has "utilities" on it
When i hit the notes button up the top left hand side
it displays a white screen which has "Flash tools" on it
then it freezes
Whats wrong with it
[/b]
Normaly you enter the bootloader by pressing the power button and sticking in the little hole on the other site than the headset (soft reset).
Since your just pressing the power button, i would say the problem is the soft reset button. Lokks like it doesnt release correctly try sticking in the hole and get it off....

thats exactly what i am doing stephan...to get it back up to the bootloader........now how do i gat it back to an operational using device.......i have read as much on here about how i need to flash the rom..........and i have an sd card.........unfortunatly for me i never did a back up or did something wrong with it..........can i buy a sd card with it on it or will someone elses not do

It sounds as if the soft reset switch is jammed in, try operating it/jiggling with stylus a few times or maybe a tiny aquirt of switch gear or wd 40.
found out from him that he was goimg to surprse..........that he did his surprise was to upgrade it for me, so he had tried to do this......i think he has overwritten the rom....can this be,,,,,,and if so how do i get this fixed

Soft buttons on my wizard are not working / mixed up / display letters

Recently I am having problems with my phone, and am wondering if it is a software or hardware problem.
I have tried loading the TNT4 rom & WS5SE roms (this is a g4), and there is no change (im on the Tnt4 one now).
The touchscreen works okay, but the soft key buttons do not. The right bottom one is okay, the left one triggers the right one, the send button show the letters "uytga" on the phone screen when i press them, the end button shows "mn" or something, the camera button works perfect, the comm manager button is the same as the voice button (even when i map it with a program it says "button 4").
It even happens on the soft keys on the keyboard when i slide it out.
Also I used Start-sSPL to put the roms on. Is there a way I can get the OEM one back on or fix the button problem?
Any help will be appreciated.

shortcut key not functioning

this morning i upgraded microsoft my phone software. it asked me to restart, but since i'm in a middle of something, i choose to restart later.
when i wanted to restart my phone (by pressing the red call button). the phone just won't go off. i also found that the message, camera, inner circle buttons to be not functioning while we're in the home screen.
but then all the shortcut buttons accept power off button, did work while i'm in onenote. anybody had same experience or way out?
Please kindly share...

yesterday, after receiving phone call. all the shortcut buttons back to life.
Have no idea on what's happening...

[Q] the on screen calibration and update

if i do an rom update do i have to re-calibrate the screen on first start up, as my screen does not work where the arrow wants me to press under stock rom (it just keeps on looping the test) think there is an small dead zone on my screen right of my screen right where the arrows are where need to press (top right arrow norm does not respond when pressed unless i hold the arrow for 2-3 secs all the other arrows respond right away)
i have never done an rom upgrade or hard reset this phone in like 1 year or so (guess dropping it did that at some point doing something to the screen)
do not want the phone to become not locked out if the update does an align that i cant skip

[Q] Making touch keys less touchy/easier unlock

Annoying Touch buttons
I think that the most DHD users have the same problem, touching the buttons at the bottom if you really dont want to.
So my question is if it would be possible to change the "Home" or the "Menu" button (pushing long) from "last used apps" to "turn on/off the touch keys???
that would be awsome
thx Dr.Pepper
Never been an issue for me, although i was anticipating problems with no hardware buttons its been fine...

Can't help but say, "you're holding it wrong!"
Seriously though I've never encountered this problem on either this phone or my N1 which has a smaller screen.
How exactly are you managing to press the buttons by mistake?
Regards.
iam the only one who has the problem that he accidently hits a touch key while using the phone or playing a game? every little contact triggers the keys. i.e. if i use the thumb to type a message, holding the phone in the right hand, i sometimes trigger the search key.
my idea is to make it harder to trigger these keys. as they are part of the touchscreen, it sould be possible to do anything that can be done with the touch sreen. my ideas:
1. double-touch; tapping the key 2 times (like a double-klick) triggers it once
2. sweep; i.e. you touch the home-button and sweep out of it, then release. can be even harder with sweeping out and back in.
3. circle-touch; making a little circle over the button triggers it.
other ideas welcome.

2nd problem: easier unlocking;
i feel it sometimes tricky to unlock the pone, wich is done by pressing the powerbutton at the top of the phone and sweeping on the bottom of the screen. the phone is'nt very small (or i have small hands). if iam holding the phone at the bottom, i can nearly reach the whole touch area with my thumb, but to unlock, i need to use my 2nd hand or to juggle the phone so i can reach the power button with the right hand. with the G1, which had a menu button at the bottom, it was just double-pressing that button and the phone was unlocked. iam looking for a similar easy way to do it.
its just annoying to take the phone out of the pocket and use both handy or juggle around to unlock it...
i dont know it it wastes additional energy to have the touchscreen active, so it can be used to unlock the phone. so my ideas:
1. use the touchscreen to unlock; i.e. draw a pattern, press the bottom key in some order (home, back, menu to unlock)
2.1 use the volume keys. if the screen is disabled, they are used to change the audio volume (or is that only the case, if music is playing?) When holding the phone at the bottom with the right hand, the volume-down hey is easily reachable. so you can do volume-down (which activates the screen) and then slide on the screen like you would do if you have pressed the power button. pressing volume-down with deactivated screen does not change the volume, but pressing it twice does (i.e. 1st press unlocks the screen and 2nd press takes volume down).
2.2 press vol-up and vol-down at the same time to unlock the phone. if i do that the phone vibrates sometimes, no idea why.
3. use acceleromater (or a other sensor?) to unlock, i.e. shaking the phone in a special way (i.e. a circle), activates the screen, so you can unlock it by sliding on it. also full unlock by shaking a phone could be possible (also known as kung-fu-unlock )
other ideas also welcome.
Proximity sensor for unlock when taking it out of the pocket :-D. I have the same problem as you so a 'fix' would be nice
yeah, you take the phone out of the pocket and it unlocks and says "hello raw, how you are doing?".
but that would be nice. question is if constantly checking the prox sensor would drain the battery much. it needs to be checked every 3 seconds or so.
