unlocking code, - XPERIA X1 General

hi guys..
i want to unlock my X1, i got the unlocking code but i dont know how to enter it, i tried the procedure below but its not working with me nothing appears to me to enter the unlocking code..
1. Remove the Vodafone SIM from the handset. Replace the battery and switch on
2. Move the jog dial left then press the * key twice and then move the jog dial left
3. Network appears on screen
4. Then select ‘Yes’
i think this procedure fro the java mobiles not for windows mobiles..
i need help, please if any one know how to enter the code let me know.. i called vodafone helpdesk unlocking department but they didnt do anything for me..

you mean, unlocking the phone from Vodafone? i don't think you have to, the X1 is unlocked when sold. Or at least, that's the case in the UK.

You just have to insert another simcard which isn't supported by the simlocked device.
Then a screen will pop up which will ask the unlock code.
Now you can enter the code.

Sounds like you don't have an X1.

Apply unlock code

Does anyone know the procedure to apply the unlock code?
T-Mobile sent me the code, but no instructions on how!
Does anyone know what to do tp apply the codes?
you could always ask tmobile for instructions. They should have emailed you instructions plue your code
I'm doing that - But they didn't get it right the first time, so I'm not holding my breath.
Maybe someone here would know and save me the hassle
I did mine yesterday.
There should be only one code.
In order for you to enter the code, you need to have a foreign SIM card. I used one from Cingular.
When you start up the phone, you will see it say "Please Enter Unlock Code" or something like that.
All you do is enter the code that T-Mobile gave you there, and you just wait till it say the name of the carrier for the SIM you put into it.
I hope this helps,
Unfortunately I had that message once (when I didn't have the unlock code) and never since!
Anyone know how to get that message back?
use a non-tmobile sim card. borrow one from a friend or get one of those att prepaid cells and extract the sim
Sorry, I should of said... I have a non T-Mobile SIM card. (I do NOT have a T-Mobile one, hence why I NEED the unlock)
Anyone know how to get the input field to show?

Quick question for anyone who unlocked their HD2

Hey, for anyone that unlocked your HD2 through t-mobile, I was just wondering, how many digits was the unlock code they gave you? because I had my friend call T-mobile to ask for a unlock code for my HD2 even though I am not a customer of theirs (He is), and he gave them my imei number but didnt tell them that the imei was for an HD2, and he has a samsung phone, so this is what the email said
Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile. Below you will see the Instructions for unlocking your Samsung device. For Unlock code you will enter the 8 digit code that we have provided you.
Enter: #7465625*638*Unlock Code#
NOTE: Network Personalization Cancelled should display once unlocked. "Not Yet Personalized" will be displayed if it has already been unlocked.
It is very important that the instructions are entered correctly as listed. If you receive an error message while performing the instructions do not make any further attempts to unlock the handset. Please be aware that if an excessive amount of incorrect attempts are made, the phone will be permanently locked. You will need to verify the IMEI by pressing *#06# and contact Customer Care for support.

so, could they have mistakenly sent me an unlock code for his phone even though they used my imei or its really the code for my phone
appreciate any help

Dude, You should've gotten 8 Digits from TMO for unlocking your HTC HD2. Also based on the email you have posted the code is for a Samsung. Your Email should've looked like this:
Unlock Code: 12345678
Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile. Below you will see the Instructions for unlocking your HTC device.
1. Insert the foreign SIM card
2. Power on the device and the display should read "Please input unlock code"
3. Enter the unlock code and the device should display "Phone is unlocked."
4. Allow the phone to scan the network (or manually click on the antenna icon to do this)
It is very important that the instructions and SIM unlock code are entered correctly as listed. Thanks and Yes, I did get an 8 digit code, but the imei number i gave them in order to find the unlock code was from my htc HD2, but TMO thinks i am trying to unlock the samsung phone, but they mustve found the code in the system based on the imei number is what I'm asking. I am going to try it on my phone later on, but I just wanted to ask this before I tried
Just be careful when you enter the code coz the instructions for entering it is very different from what i have. If it didn't work once don't try it again. Good Luck!
what is the amount of tries you have on the HD2 before it locks permanantly?
ok so I just found out that the code they gave me was actually for the samsung phone, it was a good thing that I didnt use it

Since Dariuse
if your phone is older than 2 years and you live in a country that has a similar sim lock system as germany, you might qualify for a free unlock from the phone's former carrier. if you contact them and give them your imei, they should immediately be able to tell you the code.
if that is not the case or there is some other trouble, you can always refer to this thread:

Yes is older than 2 years my phone,i live in Romania,i don't know if my country have similar sim lock system,by the way, thanks for support.

LG Optimus Unlock -- Strange Security?

Hey guys, strange problem:
Got a Telus LG Optimus 7. Want to unlock it to Rogers. Got the unlock code, however when I use my Rogers SIM the Optimus asks for a 'PUK' number.
Long story short, I called Rogers, they gave me the PUK for my SIM. When I enter it I get 'SIM Error'. So I went to a Rogers store and got a new SIM card with a new PUK--same error. Tried someone else's Roger's SIM--still asks for PUK.
I called around, no one has any idea what's going on. Google can barely help. Telus tells me I have to pay $50 to get it off their network, but I can't trust the rep knew what the problem was and they won't just give me an unlock code I already have. A 'cell phone repair shop' tells me LG phones are impossible to unlock anyway (? really?). So my question is:
How do I unlock this phone? What kind of security is this (could the PUK refer to someother other than a SIM's PUK)? Anyone have experience unlocking a Telus Optimus? Can I flash this thing and see if it'll bypass the PUK part?
Any help would be deeply appreciated. Other wise I have to try and resell this phone.
So, I re-flashed the phone anyway, just to see if it works.
Now it's a little different. Now it asks for a PUK and once I enter that it tells me to create a PIN. When I do it says SIM ERROR! So while I can get a little farther it still errors out!
I've tried both the Telus flash and the Mexico flash.
So if it's not the firmware, what could be causing this?!
PIN & PUK security depends on SIM card functionality, in this case phone software is transparent and does not verify PIN. IMHO it looks like incompatibility between SIM card and WP7 phone or strange configured SIM card. Try on another non-WP7 phone, maybe if you set or disable PIN code card will function on WP7 phone.
Thanks for the tip elektryk. I think you're on to something.
I have tried the SIM in a non-WP7 phone. It works fine. I put it in both an iPhone and BB. Using the iPhone I created a PIN then tried the Optimus. It now asks for a SIM pin--which I input, then goes back to the PUK screen which still fails.
It seems to be a very strange incompatibility with the SIM, even though I've read reports of Telus Optimus being unlocked for Rogers SIMs.
Bad luck I suppose?
I have exactly the same problem. I put a SIM with PIN security enabled, and after I enter the correct PIN requests the PUK!! and if I disable the PIN secure, request inmediatly for the PUK. The Phone say: Your phone is Blocked. Contact the Service provider for an unlock code.--- the only problem is that I don't use the AT&T service, so I can't contact them!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!
Fabian, I could not find a way around the problem so I sold the phone. Luckily there was another e900h which was unlocked for sale. The guy followed the same steps I did but it never asked for a PUK. Weird how some phones do and others don't (especially considering both phones were from the same provider).
EDIT: Hey, try this, see if it works: Try without sim card for enter the unlock code. and type 2945#*900# for enter the unlock menu

Hey, start the phone without sim card, but no unlock code required, no where to type.
I've a E900h where none of the 5 unlock codes provided worked for some reason. Haven't ask for PUK yet but lost as to what to do right now.
Typing 2945#*900# just produces a failed msg - top left hand corner is a file icon with lock on the left.
In our country ones you buy a sim from network provider.
they give us a card with a PUK code for the sim we buy.
Try to contact your service provider.
Unlock codes is For unlocking SIm Only.
you can switch different SIM f u have unlock codes.
it is different with SIm Pin Code.
You can get Ur PUK Code to your service Provider.
what country were u from??

Samsung Jack network unlock?

I'm having trouble network unlocking my Samsung Jack, my friend with Tmobile really needs a spare phone for a month or so. I says it's Sim unlocked when I check with the codes I found with google searches but the method described to network unlock says I have the wrong MNC
????????????????
Samsung Jack network unlock
Hi I want to replace the dc power jack of my laptop. I have found the part which is a
Samsung R519 DC Power Jack and cable. Which is the best way to remove the broken power jack and where would I plug the new one onto the motherboard.
Many thanks in advance.
Unlock Samsung Jack phone
Using unlock code: This is also known as 'remote unlocking' and unlocking phone by entering unique unlock code into phone, which remove the restrictions, and this is the most guaranteed method to unlock a Samsung Jack phone.
Have you tried the following:
(I was able to unlock my Samsung Epix with this, it is said to work for the Omnia and Jack)
Disclaimers:
1. Besides the Epix, I haven't tried this on other Samsung phones, so no idea if it'll work on the BlackJack II or Propel Pro.
3. Make sure you enter the correct codes. Don't enter * where # is required or vice versa.
First we need to lock the phone to AT&T. Lock the phone? Yes it's already locked, but it is locked with some code generated at AT&T's request. We are going to lock the phone with our own unlock code and then we'll be able to use our own code instead of AT&T's to unlock it.
1) From the Today or Home screen, type in *7465625*638*#
2) Enter the Mobile Network Code of AT&T in the first field. 310410.
Note that on the Jack, you will only see asterisks. I don't remember if this was the case on the Epix but you should be OK as long as you are careful to type in the correct numbers.
If you see three fields, you have to re-enter 310410 in the second field.
3) In the last field, enter 12345678 (This will be the unlock code.)
4) Press OK (it should tell you SIMLock is enabled.)
Now, we are going to unlock the phone.
1) From the Today or Home screen, type #7465625*638*#
2) Enter the code we assigned earlier. 12345678
That's it. You can now use a SIM card from AT&T, T-Mobile, blue AT&T Wireless or whatever GSM carrier you want. The unlock will survive hard resets.
