Because I'm sad and have a day off, i'm taking pictures with my X1 of the lovely fluffy stuff which is bounding me to my house, may upload some later if i can be bothered... feel free to do so if you're as sad and bored as me
Joel
Yeah our side of the country too... started yesterday morning and hasnt stopped... we have had about 10 inches and pretty much every thing is at a standstill... looks pretty but is a pain in the rear...
Took these out the window of the plane on my way to Cyprus the other day.
(yes the X1 was in "flight mode")

Well actually it depends on the location. Where I live in Sweden we almost havent had any snow at all this winter...Is that somewhere in Dalarna by the way?
We had snow!
Hurrah, I got a call from my boss to say "don't come in today" just as I got into the drive at work... So that was 45mins riding in on the mtb through 15cm of snow with another 10-15cm forecast tonight.
So I went home, strangely it took 3hours to get home....
and built a "mommy snowman" (don't ask) with my daughter.
photo taken with X1, not bad being as it was still snowing quite hard at the time (enough to cover our tracks in 1/2 hour)
In Europe, a lot of snow?
We are in St. Petersburg (Russia), it is almost non-existent.

This has always been a problem with the video of the x1... Great framerate and picture when the light is there, but (sometimes severe) motion blur when there's relatively low light. I reckon it's something along the lines of autoexposure in webcams. If we could somehow switch the autoexposure off, or have manual control over it we might have a chance of better looking video, though when the scene gets darker we'd either have to live with a darker video or change the exposure with a key press which would then introduce the motion blur.
Swings and roundabouts, innit.
haha
How funny, the first thing i also thought to do was get out my X1 and take pictures of the snow. not as beautiful as what i have seen here but i may put some up later. NW England. Peace.

on the topic of batteries, at the store i just bought my I-Mate JasJam from, the display model had a 1350mAh battery, i just took mine out of the box and it has a 1300mAh, whats up with that?

It is bitter sweet,

We have 2500 firefighter or more currently fighting the fires from all aroudn Aus and New Zealand. hrmmm, getting back to "what i want for xmas" i beleive and integrated MEMS gyro ([SIZE=-1]accelorameter) will be great. Application could be, for e.g. when you throw your hermes at someone u dont like, the gyro will trigger and you can set up an event that plays your favourite song while the pda is flying through the air about to hit its target.
also, maybe some technology like those "skull phones" have so i can talk on the phone to the local pub to see what time it closes (and hear perfectly as sound waves are being transmitted as vibration through my skull and reaching my eardrums from the inside) while my wife is yelling at my in the background because I havent taken the trash out to be collected.... heaven...

Hey guys, I just wanted to show the difference without the flash on, and with the flash on at night, from a distance. I read in some online reviews that the flash wasn't powerful, and admittedly, the flash doesn't make the second shot a "good" shot, but I think it goes a long way to show how far it can project, and thus its potential.
I personally didn't expect it to reach that far, and even brighten the picture up as much as it did.
Without flash:

Rolling down the window helped.
But that is pretty good projection.

How many year was the Redbreast? I am a bit of a whiskey aficionado. If you haven't tried the 18y/o Redbreast give it a go, has a very unique citrus like flavor, and is great for sipping with a meal.

The 12y/o is a bit spicey, is better IMO (and as your pic seems to show) on the rocks. Actually, 12y/o's across the boards seem to like being served on the rocks. If you are much of a whiskey fan, check out Jamesno Gold Reserve, $60 a bottle, one of the tastiest affordable whiskey's I have ever had, and has a really complex flavor so drinking it never seems to get old.
not a great photo because of the lighting but its the first one I took with the phone. Was at the race track all weekend. it was 5mp and when looking at it fullsize on my computer I'm quite impressed with the camera on this thing. resized it to 800x600

Took this at the fort worth stockyards

I was honestly surprised as well. I took some video at a concert (extremely loud) and it did a good job of maintaining sound quality and the video quality was pretty great as well. The biggest problem was me being able to hold the damn thing steady... but that was a situation/personal issue, not the phone/camera itself lol.
To begin with I was dissappointed with the camera bit recently have take. Some really great pics. Better than the inspire. And im Starting to like the screen colors too. There is also quite a lot you can do post pic taking in the viewer app.

Yea but quicktime is what sucks because it trys to cache the whole 1.2gb before playing

Slow download speed ill let it run though to see im curious now lol
I think it is awesomely bad. I was playing around with my Dad's Atrix and all of the pics seem a little blurry. I thought there might be a lens cover from the factory and looking at it, it certainly doesn't seem as clear as it should be. I tried picking at it but it wasn't going anywhere. Anyone discover a lens cover on their phones?
Downloaded the video... looks great! I'm impressed. Haven't taken video with mine yet, but yours looks great even though (I'm sure) the lighting couldn't have been that good in that arena. Very nice!
Some one should start a "Pictures taken using my Atrix" thread :x that way I can compare to what I have

There might be an issue with the adhesive use for the lens cover. Bring it in to AT&T and see about getting a replacement. My pics look clear.
Make sure you wipe down the lens. It picks up dirt and fingerprints so easily.
No really. Every time I want to take a pic, I take a look at the lens window and it's dirty.

These pictures were taken with both firmwares about 8 minutes apart (updated in the park) on the same phone and in roughly the same light. I would have been faster but there was a Dutch family taking pictures and I didn't want to have them in the picture.

I have been taking pics and videos for the last hour and it's night and day.
Auto focus and auto brightness are finally fixed.
Dynamic range working as it should.
The camera is much faster. Zoom has also improved up to X10. After that it remains funky.
Really happy now.

slow mo video also fixed dynamic range and autofocus.
Have you tried pictures in a dim environment?
For me it's absolutely smudging every detail even after the update, doesn't matter if scene optimiser is on or off.
Taking a picture of my dog she looks like a white splotch where as the Plus model shows her fur in very good detail
Those are pics in dim light. They are so much better than before the update.
