Power button long press error - XPERIA X1 General

Now if I hold the power button, in stead of asking if I want to turn the phone off, I get this error "The file 'Ctrl' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate...." and this error related to Ctrl.exe, does anyone know how to fix this?

Power button launch a program

I am trying to figure out how to set the power button so that when I hold it down, it launches shutxp instead of the normal warning message.
Is this possible?

behaviour of the power button

It's quite annoying that the phone is turn on when the power button is pressed because I keep accidentally press the button >_<
Is there a way to change it to something like "press and hold" to turn on the phone?
I don't know. But I know that trying to re-map the key is difficult, especially getting the button required to hold.

[SOLVED] SD Card Flash

Has anyone managed to flash their phones via the SD card on the 1024Leo yet?
I tried several times and failed miserably. Here's how it went...
Removed back battery cover and hit the "Reset" button
Held down both the Volume Down rocker and End Call/Power button
Bootloader came on, searched the card and found "LEOIMG.nbh"
Message pops up: "Would you like to use this new image? Press Power Button for Yes"
Here comes the tough part. You see, I was already pressing the "Power Button" to get this far. If I release it, to umm... press it again, the phone returns to the Bootloader screen. The same happens if I release the Volume Down rocker.
Tried several times last night before I gave up.
I run Linux on my home computer and my wife takes her laptop to work, so I rarely have access to Active Sync during the day. I've gotten so used to SD flashing that it hasn't been an issue in the past.
Anyone out there have a solution?

When you hit the reset button for boot loader dont hold the pwr button just the volume down. I just tried it and it brought me to bootloader by hitting the reset button while only holding the volume down button

Yeah, tried that too. It takes you to bootloader just fine, but won't search for a ROM.
Here's how I got it to work:
Moved LEOIMG.nbh to a 8GB (C2) microSD card.
Pressed Volume Down while holding the End-Call (Power Button)
Message showed "Searching..."
I released the Volume Down button, but continued to hold the Power Button down.
It immediately began flashing.
The problem was, once the message comes up that says "Press Volumedown to cancel, Press Power button to update to the new image", any buttons that are currently pressed will be considered your choice. So instead of pressing the Power Button that was already pressed, I only needed to release the Volumedown button.
The first time I attempted this, it canceled on me, I had to release "Volume Down" immediately, while the "Searching..." message was showing.
I have no idea why it was so hard for me to figure this out, but at least it's working now.
Thanks for you help, zelendel!
No prob glad you got it to work.

Downloading... Do not turn off target!!!

Please delete this post if it has already been written somewhere...
I just discovered how to get the "Downloading... Do not turn off target!!!" - screen.
Turn off the phone. Wait 10sec.
Press and hold task switch button + volume down and press power button shortly.
You can leave this mode by pressing power button for about 10sec.
what does this setting do?
on that screen the phone is ready to get new firmware.
if you are not doing any updates and got the screen accidentally you can safely switch off the phone.

[Q] Problems with power button

I looked for similar topic but couldn't find it,I can't use power button on my hd anymore,it got broken beacuse of pressing it very often during day to turn the screen on and off...I was wondering if there is an application to assign power button function to home key so when pressing it the screen turns off and on?
Hi, having the same problem, POWER BUTTON is defect/broken, it doesn't have a resistance when I push it in. I can still switch the device on and off, but I have to press the power button hard and the power button does not feel spring loaded any more.
Are there more people having this issue and is there anybody haveing it send for warranty repair already?
Mine is a German O2 device.
Thanks
