hello,
my htc tytn does not detect any sim I don't know if it's a hardware or software problem, but when I go on device informaion that displays:
radio version: NONE
protocol version: NONE
does not appear the imei
what's you think?
SIM too skinny
Try cutting a spacer out of a business card. I shims the SIM tighter to the contacts, have had Tilt that needed this with a non-AT&T SIM.
Do NOT bend the SIM holder.

I think that the new SIM cards of Alfa are not be compatible with Jasjar. On radio version 1.03, it was sometimes on, sometimes off (showing No service), with the screen flickering most of the time. On version 1.04, the device did not even recognize the SIM card. I had to put back the old SIM. Did anyone experience this ?
I have a TYTN II on the Orange UK network (Pay Monthly). The phone is unlocked and works with a O2 (Pay as you GO) SIM on the network.
I recently bought the following Dual SIM Adaptor :-
http://www.m-99.co.uk/Mobile_Phone_Twin_SIM_Adapters/mobile_phone_twin_sim_adapters.html
I cut both my SIMS and tested them on a Nokia. The SIMS work fine in the Nokia, I can select SIM 1 or SIM 2.
On plugging the adaptor into my TYTN, the O2 network works fine.
On switching to the Orange UK network the phone shows signal, but after approx 15 seconds the network shows no signal.
When trying to access the SIM Manager during this 15 seconds it does state that the SIM is initialising.
The Adaptor works fine on a Nokia but not a TYTN II. Any Ideas ??
Perhaps it requires different hardware? On the site you have to choose the model ..
Bought one from another site and same problem.
I chose the TYTN adaptor.
I'll try a different ROM.

Maybe you have to turn the radio off before switching from one sim to another.
Have you set it to GSM network type ?
Go to: Settings>Phone>Band (you will need a working sim installed to enter phone options)
I had a bunch of dual sims that worked great on WM PDAs, sold um all.
Your problem sounds like the Orange SIM is not connecting well.
One trick that can work well is to place the Dual sim adaptor (SIMs loaded in adaptor) on a flat surface PCB side down & apply even preassure over the top with your thumb (Give it a good hard squash)
This normally cures it.
Another option is to swap the sim positions & see if Orange works in the O2 slot (this will prove sim terminal connection problem)
Thanks Mister B,
Went to Settings>Phone>Band and switched from Auto to GSM. All works fine.
Cheers
DUAL SIM Not working on Treo 750 WM 6.1 GSM phone
The Dual SIM Adapter boasts of not needing to switch off to switch between SIMS. But it shows only default SIM 1 and not the second SIM. My Treo 750 is a unlocked WM 6.1 GSM type. Can anyone help pls?
No 1: follow tip in post #5
No 2: remove sim adaptor from phone place it on a flat hard surface with the PCB board facing down & roll your thumb over the back of it with reasonable pressure & then retry it in your device.
Some of these adaptors need a lot of patience to get working due to poor contacts between sim cards & adaptor.
You can also swap position of your 2 SIMs which will help fault diagnose the issue.
Anyone found a dual sim with no cut option for raphael?
Theres simply no room for that nside the Raphael.
I would recommend a cut version (and do buy the special plyers to cut).
I use a 13th gen DUAL SIM that switches via SIMToolkit very neat. Bought on Ebay.
I even get to see the active Phonenumber (as setup in the SIMToolkit) in Manila Homescreen.
Can you write someone more about runnig this dual card in STK and upload working version of STK here?
My mind is semi-blown, you mean people are using two different sim cards in one phone?
Dual SIM card adapters make it possible to use (generally) 2 SIMs in your phone. Only one of he SIMs can be active at any time (remember the phone only has one radio).
As there is hardly any unused room inside modern phones the best option is to use a 'cut'-type dual SIM adapter.
1st what you do is, is cut your two SIM's neatly round the brass contact's. You can use special plyers to do that more safeky.
2nd you put these two cut SIMs into the adapter. The adapter has the dimensions and shape of a SIM.
3rd Put the adapter in the SIM slot in your phone and youre done.
The 13th Geneation Dual SIM adapter that I use, uses the SIM Toolkit (STK) application to switch the active SIM. This appears to be reliable. The STK hooks into the software of the Dual SIM adapter. On my phone it even presents itself as 'Dual SIM Card' in the programs folder.
The Dual SIM adapter i have appears to also work under WM 6.5 and also supports GPRS, Edge, 3G, .....I have used this adapter on my previous Wizard and am using it now in my Raphael.
hi!
i recently bought an omnia 7 on ebay, t-mobile locked.
due to i have a vodafon contract, i unlocked it online, with imei unlock.
now the phone accepts my sim card, but i keep getting "no service".
today i bought a t-mobile sim card, just to try, and it is the same.
when i am changing sim cards, the network profile app changes the settings.
i flashed another rom, found here (jj6 uk), i updated to 7720, nothing helps.
i guess it isnt the sim card reader, cause the network profile app recognises any sim card.
is there an antenna problem or just some software thing?
can i fix the antenna by myself, if it is broken or sthing?...
i fall in love with this phone, i dont want to get rid of it...
any suggestions appreciated.
Just got the SM-P610 and liking it a lot. I noticed that the SD card tray has a spot for a SIM card as well. After looking in the slot it appears to have contacts for a SIM card to be accepted. Upon inserting my SIM and turning on the device it appears to not work. Now here's the question, Does the tablet have the hardware to actually accept a SIM card and connect to the towers. Along with that, is it software locked in some way? Can we bypass this lock somehow?
I guess the motherboard of the P610 and P615 are different, the frame with slot is standard for Galaxy Tab S6 lite
Boards and SIM/microSD reader are exactly the same between 610 and 615: https://fccid.io/A3LSMP615/Internal-Photos/2-A3LSMP615-Internal-photo-4647951 (see the "SM-P615/610" text printed on the boards) except that the 610 lacks some antennas and I guess the software is different too.
The pbc is the same between the two but the 610 is missing some ics, id assume they are for the lte.
Is it possible to put a sim card in SM-P610
