New to Touch HD - Touch HD General

Hello I just got my Touch HD from Orange but I have some observations:
The G-Sensor does not rotate the screen. Is this not part of the ROM? I am tempted to do a utility for that but I was wondering if it is already included in the original ROM
The Phone at one stage wouldnt execute any programs or shut down although it was otherwise fully functional. Shall I turn my device in for a replacement?
Original HTC ROM: Is there one?
Still love my Polaris but switching to that after the Touch HD feels "small".
Thanks

install gsen or gyrator to rotate screen.
original rom in rom thread. it might be on wiki too.

HTC Touch Rom...

What are the closest to the Real HTC TOUCH rom's here for the Blue Angel and which ones are the fastest including the cube and PIE touchflo HTC Camera ect.... the whole deal
I am new to this area as my Wizard just took a dump on me..
I have a Siemens SX66 on the way and I cant wait to add a WM6 rom (hopefully HTC Touch) on it..
there is no htc touch rom for BA.
i´ve searched for it, too.
the BA display driver is not compatible to touchflo
No true
This is not true, the cube is functionning well on my Blue Angel.
Just download one of the full package with touch flo and the cube (+- 4 mb) and install it. I use vista cube without problem.

Thanks this is a great start I'm just use to my wizard were you could load the rom and youre done badda bing all the touch goodies.
But it seems not so with the BA so far it seems I have to add touch commander htc home and so on and so forth to my flash card to get anything working
I figured that with 400 MHz as apposed to 195 and a bigger screen and roms like they had for the wizard I would be in blue angel heaven.
But so far everything has been pretty much all over the place with this thing as apposed to cut and dry

Anyone Porting Panels to the Touch HD?

Hi
I see the TF3D from the Touch Hd has been cab'd and is running on the X1 (mine included)... but has anyone (point me if i'm being blind) started to port the X1 panels ready for the Touch HD>??
That would be funky!!!
come on guys... someone must have thought about it...
I got a X1 that i can dump from ... but just needs a chef to 'massage' it into a touch HD .. screen and res is the same.. made by the same.. so should be easy/easier???
Porting the panels to a TouchHD would be a lot different than importing TF3D to an X1. TF3D is just a today screen shell/plugin. The panel interface doesn't do that..you would literally need to dump and install the entire X1 rom onto a touch HD and replace whats there now.

Nope, not correct.
Why its "easier" with tf3d is because HTC is making the roms with packages now, rather then dump it all in OEMAPPS etc...
The panel can be extracted as well, but thats not a task im gonna do..Im rather gonna remove it totally when I get a fully working kitchen, hard-spl etcetc..

Confused About all the Different Touch Flo 3d's

So just got my Xperia the other day and am looking to make the jump to Touch Flo 3d. Looking on the forum here there's at least 6 different versions and I'm kinda confused on what the differences between these even are.
Can someone please clarify the difference between:
Touch Flo 3d 1
Touch Flo 3d 2
Touch Flo 3d HTC Blackstone
Manila
Manila Touch HD
Manila V2
I noticed that there's also a lot of confrontation between installing touch flo as a ROM or just running it on a panel from a CAB file. What are the advantages of either. If possible I'd prefer to keep the Xperia panels and just run Touch Flo in a panel.
Also while I'm at it since I don't think it's worth another thread, can I run the Windows Mobile 6.5 beta in a panel or do I have to install it and wipe out windows mobile 6.1?
I am quite sure that WM 6.5 needs to be installed instead of WM 6.1.
About the Touch flo's im in the same boat... i just would like the "best" version as a panel. So thank you for bringing this up
Windows mobile is the platform on which all your programs run, including the panel manager and touchflo.
There's currently two* versions of TF3D, TF3D 1 and TF3D 2. Manila == TF3D.
The best and newest at the moment is TF3D2, as stickied, it has landscape support, but it also has a few bugs, as it's a beta build. All in all, it works more that good enough.
Best thing I can recommend is flashing one of itje's ROMS, preferably the new 4.0, which has TF3D2. This way, you'll have TF3D as your homescreen, but also the panels.
* Not including different beta's.
Alright thanks a lot, looks like I'll be installing that Touch Flo 3d2 ROM then.
Quick question though. Even if I flash this I'm going to assume I'm not resetting windows mobile since the xperia interface and touch flo 3d are just "skins" for windows mobile, so I wouldn't have to reinput all my settings?
When you flash your ROM, everything will be erased.
If you however just want to install TF3D and keep everything, you will have to wait for daran_clarke to finish his TF3d .cab, which you just install on your phone just like any application.
i recommend running TF3D2 from a rom, because the responsiveness and speed is increased alot. i recommend itje's touch it landscape ver 1.1 rom, as this is the most stable and normal version, as opposed to ver 4 which is lets say... a bit different. if you are intersested i will provide the rapidlinks to this no longer available rom
Already installed itje's V4 and am extremely pleased since it hasn't crashed yet. However I tried going on youtube and the video is really choppy and out of sync with the audio, which used to not be the case. Tested it both on wifi and edge and the data speed makes no difference. Any ideas?

Itje's V4 is (although the filename doesn't tell you this) still in it's beta stages. Some problems will still occur, but Itje is working on it.
That's the reason flext recommended you 1.1.
Am I supposed to have to reinstall the radio, because my EDGE has stopped working altogether since installing Touch Flo 3d?

Nope, that seems to be an unrelated problem. I've never seen reports of EDGE failing after TF3D installation. If the problem persists, you might want to try a hard-reset (also removing TF3D again).
flashing to tf3d 2 rom
iam kinda new at this and iam trying to flash to tf3d 2 rom because the theme that iam trying to get does not work with my stock rom..

TouchFlo 3D 2 works in portrait and landscape mode [latest version]
TouchFlo 3D 1 has touch flo tabs but only in portrait mode
Manilla is the TouchFlo cube [it isnt touch flo 3d at all]
Manilla HD is the same as Touch Flo 1
Manilla V2, I think is Touch Flo 3D.....
Forgive me for the guessing...I don't use touch flo

Two TouchFLO versions on one phone?

Is it possible to install the original touchflo (rotating cube one) on my new HTC HD2 aswell as keeping the TouchFLO 3D that is already installed?
I like the new version except you can only access it from the today screen. The old version you could slide your finger up the screen to bring it up wherever you are on any screen.
They dont seem like they'd interfere with each other as the new one operates from the today screen and the old one seems to run as a standalone app.
If I find an installer for the old touchflo will it mess up my phone?
Thanks for any help with this!

htc touch dual neon 300

ok so I been reading. mastered my pure but I recently got a touch dual neon 300. it came with spl-1.00.01pro on boot menu. I cant seem to flash it no matter what I do. I cant pt newer hard spl on. I know this is an older file on boot on this. no matter how I try and flash I get errors about the updater.
can I do anything to flash this? would like 2 things. 6.5 for starters
secondly a real onscreen keyboard. not the 16 or 20. I dont care if I kill the slider function.
would like to reflash and play but after 3 days I seem to be stuck.
will hard spl 122 nike work on this unit? if so how can I get there? been trying 3 days now with no success.
ty in advance any pointers would be nice. not looking for spoons here
ah got it. also found stock rom to go back to with the right radio etc
just in case anyone was wondering, found it all here on the forum from this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=583725
Now I have another quest
that 20 key keyboard is annoying so is the xt9 default but I can live with that. I have an htc pure and have really gotten use to the touch keyboard layout.
On the touch dual (neon 300) I could care less if the hardware keyboard works. If I could run a similar keyboard to the pure's setup but in landscape mode on the touch dual for me it would be a vast improvement.
I started looking at ezinput http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=542117
running the rom mentioned above wm 6.5 cooked for the touch dual. I have read a few people lost boot in severe cases trying ezinput. I am not questioning ezinput when I bring that up, just dont want to try the wrong version and or not know if I run a high risk or crashing my device beyond boot. any opinions?
I do have registry backups and all the tools to flash the stock rom back on and the 6.5 rom mentioned about.
