I'm a newbie, can you addvice me what battery to buy? How mA? should be original?
Is this one good?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ECELL-HIGH-CA...14&_trkparms=72:1300|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318
Same question here... AT&T no longer stocks the battery and I need a replacement.
I'd want the battery with the longest life, which fits the same way as the standard battery... Also, not outlandishly expensive.
Thanks
This One seems to be getting a very good review.
Have you used that battery, k-semler? It looks pretty good, although it's pricey. I'm wondering if the tilt really will recognize that it's a high capacity battery, as this has been an issue with other high capacity batteries.
I haven't used it, but it seems to have a rather good review from that user on HoFo. I'm thinking about buying it myself.
I got the Cameron Sino battery. Slim battery fits the factory battery door. Power rating at 1600Mah compare to factory of 1350Mah which is a 18.5% power increase.
I got the battery and put it in the phone and use it until it was drained. I repeat that couple more times and after a few charges the battery seem to hold power very well.
With this new battery the phone last 1.5 day with normal use no problem ( Normal usage is not including using GPS and Bluetooth and Web browsing all day long)

I just walked into an at&t store last week w / my kaiser in RLOD mode.
Bought a new battery and it started right up. So they do indeed still stock the battery. Duno if you were referring to some other higher quality battery, but the normal stock battery they do carry.

I have no way of knowing if it's really a Samsung. It works perfectly and I dont know if it lasts longer than the original as its a long time since my original battery worked properly to compare.
This battery, like most of the after market ones does not have the metal shield stuck to the battery. I glued some foil on to the replacement battery although it worked just fine both with an without the foil.

The OEM battery had a metal plate stuck to the under side of the battery that makes contact with four earthing points in the battery compartment of the phone.
There has been a lot of discussion as to why this is the case but no concrete answers.
I have used the Ebay replacement battery with no metal shield with no problem at all.

I just purchased this accu. I bought it for $22 dollars included the shipping costs. (Shipping to Holland so worth the price!)
I've got to wait till they shipped it over to Holland but for this price it will be worth the time I hope.

I'll post a review soon with my experience with this over powered accu.

a new extended battery from sprint has came out "2600 mah + 2 battery back doors white and black".
i complained to sprint like 5 times that my battery's was ****ed up and i was going to terminate my account if they don't credit me the money for the battery.
so finally i got one nice agent that credited me 43.83 he wasnt sure what the price was of the battery but he made a note too call back with the full price of the extended battery which was 59.97. they credited me the full amount. im sure there's plenty of u that can pull this off!!!
good luck! if u want pictures of it i can post the picture's of it it looks like the sedio black back door.
If its from sprint, I want to see pictures please.
it is from sprint id have to wait till my gf comes home,to take pics with her cell phone, i just popped it in it seems to be draining alot lesser then the crappy htc red battery.

I have not seen the Seidio in person. It may be a little larger, as it is ~900 mah more.
I have not used or looked at any cases for this yet. I am more than likely going to wait for either Sprint to release theirs for a decent price (haha ) or some manufacturers off ebay to make one.

Thanks I might pop in to a sprint store and see if it fits under the otterbox commuter but I doubt it.
Nice to see sprint kicking out some "OEM" extended battery tech.
Question though - I was looking into getting one of those nice Seido batteries, but was put off by the fact that the Evo was incapable of charging the batter to 100% via USB connection.
Remember how people would get their extended batteries and the phone would display 100% charge when plugged in, but as soon as you pulled the plug it instantly dropped to the REAL charge of only 60 or 70%?
I was understanding that the EVO's charging circuitry was too "dumb" to realize there was an extended battery in the back and cut off charging way too early.
My question is -- is this something the sprint battery would suffer from as well? I did notice that this battery is Lithium Polymer? vs our stock battery thats lithium ion.
Thoughts?
I am loving mine so far. As far as how thick it makes the Evo; with this battery it is about the same thickness my Evo was with the Otterbox commuter case attached. I went ahead and ordered the Seidio Holster, the one for Evo's without a case, for $20.34 from Amazon. The Evo fits fine in there.
As far as battery life I am very happy. I went 37 hours on the first charge which included almost 40% looking for signal under Cell Standy in battery info; you have to love working in a basement! And so far on my second charge I have about 30% left after 36 hours.
I got one yesterday. it's very nice.
Anyone know if there are any that are actually worth it and don't begin degrading?
I've read a lot of reviews saying that most of them work for 1-2 weeks and then start to lose strength.
I'm looking for a reliable brand.
I have had my HTC Evo 4G 1800 mah batteries since the G2 came out. No degradation, minor label modification. Battery door fits fine.
I also have one, but I don't use it every day, just couple of times when going on a trip or traveling. I can easily tell it hold a lot more juice than original and the battery door is well made and has this soft touch, not a cheap plastic.
Also lately I began using external battery charger, the black one that plugs directly into the phone, no cables. I simply always have one in my bag.
the chichitec ones have been working good for me stock rom rooted. I'm getting about 18-20 hours or so depending on usage. The fastest I've been able to kill it is probably 7-9 hours of constant use with everything on, but that was intentional to see how fast i could kill it lol. Cost me like 18 buck on amazon, removed label clipped the ends and voila cover fits perfectly just tape on battery above microsd card holder so it wont short out.

What do you mean clip the ends and tap on battery above microsd holder? Does it not fit OTB? Can you use the original battery covery with it?
There is this tiny clip you snip for the g2 (the battery is meant for another htc model but it fits) and remove the plastic vinyl cover, after that it just fits with the stock cover. The problem is you need to make sure the bare metal battery does not ground out with the sd card holder. a simple piece of tape works well. Search chichitec on here and there are several threads and how to's.

just got it about an hour ago actually, wont fit not without sanding it down, and to be honest it doesnt look very well fabricated after the sticker is off it. also since i read the post above on how its not really much better than the 4g stock battery im not gonna bother sanding it to make it fit. i have a 1650mah battery on its way as well which says its for the desire z, so it should fit perfectly, but ill let you guys know if it does in fact last longer than the stocker.
so to sum things up, the evo 4g slim 2000mah wont fit without quite a bit of modification, its close...very close, but still requires sanding. if in fact it had amazing reviews i would mod it but ill just cut my losses and toss it.
update on the 1650mah dz battery to follow as soon as i recieve it. battery performance a few days following that.

Includes FREE worldwide shipping. Is this too good to be true? I'm keen to give it a shot, but can't seem to find a brand-name or anything. According to the seller its compatible with our phones, but I'm always sceptical of no-name-brand Chinese things, especially if it could damage my precious.
Don't think its branded at all. Their return policy seems pretty good. Seems as though you would only have to pay for shipping if it's not an error on their part. I assume DOA's and the thing breaking down within the warranty period would constitute as free return paid by them. Post a review if u decide to try it.

Has anyone looked at the one labeled just "Qi Wireless Charger"?
It's white, and I don't like that, but it's completely flat, so it'd probably fit the phone better...?
Better as in, if you have to turn it around, then it'd be better, since with the large one, the casing seems to be raised at the top, whereas the standard one is completely flat, so flipping it around wouldn't really be that big of a deal.

This is not the same charger as the one being discussed in that other thread.
To repeat the OP, this is the charger discussed here:
http://www.fasttech.com/products/1197502
Mine arrived today. My early thoughts:
1.) It feels pretty cheaply made, but its a simple device and I can't really fault anything about it as far as build quality goes.
2.) The Nexus 4 has to be placed upside down for charging to take place. Bit of a shame, but no reason why you can't just use the pad itself upside down instead.
3.) Unlike the comments from another poster here, I was relieved to see my phone charge to 100% without any problems.
4.) The flashing blue LED is annoying and doesn't seem to do anything other than flash continually whether it is charging or not. I'll probably open it up and kill it, and/or simply tape over it with black tape.
All in all, pretty happy for the price paid, and glad to be able to reduce the wear and tear on the microUSB port.

Sorry, when I say "upside down", I don't mean face-down. Rather, the charging port needs to be at the top. Obviously that's where the sensor / coil lines up best with the phone; can't think of any other reason.

Hey everyone,
I bought a nexus 6p last week refurbished. Pretty much I was expecting the famous battery failure and did get it on my nexus around 30% - 20%. So I bought a new battery yesterday it comes tomorrow and will give it in to a phone shop to get it done by a technician , I need a straight answer does it fix the problem permanently and will it boost battery life. I know there has been MANY MANY MANY topics about it but I just need a straight answer.
Thanks
Yes, I replaced mine myself. I went from 1 hour SOT, dying at 70%, to 6-7+ hours dying at 0%.
The issue wont be fixed permanently though, you're just mitigating the problem
I did the same on two Nexus 6Ps, totally worth the effort.
YES!
Alright! Thanks guys I got my battery today and im gonna hand it in to a phone shop and get it done! I'll keep you updated on it.
Well! That replacement was totally worth it! Before I had i replaced, I'd wake up at like 9am with 100% battery then around 12pm it would be on 67% and pretty much die at 30 or 20%.
Since i got it replaced I have noticed a overhaul of improvements with my battery especially with the Franco kernel my battery life has doubled by an insane amount. I can actually go out and come back with like 50% without rapid draining. I am genuinely happy with that replacement. It feels great.
Thanks who said it was worth changing the battery. If you're planning to swap it. Do it! It's worth your time.

What i can do for you I can contact the seller from the one I linked you if it has a temperature sensor on it. If not then I'll let you know! :good:

Ah makes sense. But yeah if its thin it doesn't have it. But that would be cool. Thank you
YES
I personally have a mixed feeling. I replaced my battery a little while ago, and it was working great for months, but now the battery began draining like crazy. I read somewhere that there was a defect on the motherboard itself and that battery replacement would only be a temporarily fix as the main defect would eventually bring the issue back. I'm thinking to move on at this point as I don't want to keep replacing battery.

What's the defect? To me that just sounds like a low quality battery

Read up on threads about batteries in this forum. That's how I found it. You'll also see that many people reporting back with the same issue no matter what battery tried. Some of us have been at this for a long time.

I have been. I've been researching the hell out of it tbh and most of the time that's mentioned it's because it's a low quality battery. Since it lasts a couple of weeks - 2 months and then back to square one. That's due to bad batteries.
Had the battery swapped a few days ago and its worth it. Before the swap i would get like 1 hour SoT at best and my phone would sit at around 30% when i got home from work with the phone completely drained at around 7-8 pm. Now i get more then double the SoT even with heavy use and has enough charge left when i got to bed ( around 30% ).

Obviously, you haven't enough or you would have found the posts I'm talking about. I'm not going to find that post for you, and if you simply choose to not believe me, there is nothing I can do. I offered info. If you choose to deny it, then that's where our conversation ends. Take care.

I visited a local shop near were I used to live for my gfs nexus and it's going 6months with no issues or degration, shut down or otherwise. I no longer live there or I would go back to repair my phone at the same location. Hopefully in a couple of months I can. I will report to you guys, I have not been able to find a legitimate battery to do it myself or a local shop at my current location. I know BLOD is an issue but that is not related to battery. I guess people could have faulty motherboards but not all of us do. But I'm not denying or agreeing with you because there's lots of people who bought batteries of poor quality and lasted about a month before going back to what they delt with before. I'm not to sure of this conversation is going but I hope you can fix your battery soon. Nexus besides its issues is still an amazing device and I hope I can keep it running for a couple more years.
Pretty simple question, battery is two years old and I'm not sure it has that great of capacity anymore. Taking apart the Axon7 doesn't look to be too difficult, so wondering if anyone has experience on batteries.
There's what looks like stock: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-New-...547988?hash=item2cd0608714:g:oTAAAOSw~JRawH1t

I generally am scared of third party batteries.
I got a genuine ZTE battery off of EBay for $11. Replaced it in an hour. Good as new!
I guess if the battery is shot, it's a good time whilst replacing it, to also make sure all connectors are seated.

Yeah, I mean it's one review. I messaged the guy and no response. Typically I've noticed these third party batteries die within a month.

Yeah I agree.
From my limited experience with PSP back in the day, I had no issues myself.
Plus if it does degrade within the month you could just get an original after that.
Dunno about reliability though, hope you don't catch a fire or something.

I had a vape that didn't regulate voltage well on QC2.0 and caught aflame. Kind of worries me going third party for that reason as well.

YES, I've had multiple A2017U (US) Axon7's reach the two year window where battery life dropped off considerably (or failed completely in the end).
Full charge, remove cable and instantly 80%, run for 20min and 30%, then shutdown with no warning.
I purchased OEM compatible battery off eBAy. I did check into company a little and did ask if stock was super OLD or not (granted, they could fib but that's why I researched the reputation of company and feedback).
the R&R is very straightforward. However, the screens that are behind the speaker grill are tough to keep in good shape (since the adhesive is one big piece) . I ended up resurrecting the screen portion and used separate two sided adhesive tape (purchased specifically for display repair on diff phone -- it was less than $10).
