Flip Clock "behaviour" - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Themes and Apps

I've done some extensive searching on this but haven't found an answer (apologies if I've missed it somewhere)
Is there a way to change the original flip clock "settings, so that every time you go back to the home tab the clock is defaulted to zero, and then "flips" to the correct time?
This occurs when using the vodaphone theme, and also appears in their promo videos and some on youtube, but I can't seem to duplicate it. I'm using dutty's rom, and have tf3d config installed.
Thanks for any help

That would be really cool.
...like the hatch in LOST.

Well I know it's definitely a possibility, as I said it does in fact do this in the vodaphone theme, and I've seen it in on other review vids on youtube. Just not sure where to get the files or "version" of that clock...
Anyone?

Install a really old version of TF3D. This brings the clock behavior you described as well as transitions when switching tabs.
There was another thread about it with files to get it working.

[APP] FEWidgets (Omnia like widgets, need it done VGA)

This is an app that puts widgets like the Omnia on the today screen. The only issue is that it doesn't support VGA yet (hence the reason for the post). I used SecondToday to get another today screen, loaded FEWidgets, and mapped the top volume key to go back and forth between TF3D and the today screen with FEWidgets. It worked liked a charm, with no lag or hesitation. The widgets worked fine by controlling comm devices like bluetooth and WIFI. The only thing you may have to change is the wallpaper in the programs folder in order to get VGA (480x640) wallpaper to cover the whole screen (once you get them in the folder there is actually a widget you can change them with). FEWidget does use the entire screen, so other today screen plugins can not be used. The only problem is the widgets are small (QVGA), and looking to you guys to find a solution. I haven't had a chance to look at the files, but I will to see if the widget icons can be manipulated. It is damn cool though. A simple button press takes you to another screen with widgets!!!!! The Diamond engine handles it so well, it should have been intergrated. Here is the link to the thread, and all credit goes to nicodega for an awsome app.

ok so I can not find this mod mentioned in the thread you posted, nor can I find it via search which more or less leaves me no chance as to ask you again in the wrong thread if you could point me to the mod or the file to get those icons changed.
Thank you in advance and sorry, I do know its the wrong thread. As it should be a simple question to answer though I would highly appreciate a hint
cheers
Just tried it out.. And it is really nice! However.. It is pretty laggy..
Have a look at this vid
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doOLS2oPTGY
How have they made it so fast and smooth? And there is more widgets there.. Maybe the got a newer version ?
Oh and maybe i have gotten this wrong, but as i have understood this, you guys have takin this today plugin out of the omnia right?

well thats str8 up on the omnia... we are dealing with porting it do a different resolution... i'm not too sure why else it may be lagging but i'm sure it will be smoothed out in the coming releases.
One thing i really like is the screen rotation of the omnia in that video... is that impossible to get for our diamonds?
thks but don't work on my diamond
Does anyone know how to assign specific buttons to toggle this in SecondToday? All I see is right and left softkey and neither of them seem to work anyway. Ideally I'd like the Home key to toggle between TF3D and FEWidgets.
Secondly, if I run the FEWidgets alone I can move them around etc. but if it's loaded through SecondToday I cannot, is there a way to fix this?

I NEED the Sprint Clock!!!!

I installed the clock, and it looks sexy.....But!!,
It freezes the scrolling option through the icons, i cannot use my finger to scroll from home to contacts to messages, nothing can be selected, it just freezes on the home page and the clock time doesn't change. How do i install it so it works perfectly.
Thanks in advance for any assistance guys.
Same problem here (TF3D freezes when I tap a tab instead of scrolling to it). Anyone else experiencing this? It started after I installed the Sprint clock.

Hi im a little confused on how to use this app....where do i navigate the application to? Because when i connect the diamond via active syn it does not display the windows folder...thanks.
Apologies for the bump, but I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing the frequent freezes with both the Sprint clock on the regular TF3D and the Sprint TF3D? (ROM: Elite 2.0) Anyone found any solutions yet?
Solution found
Hey White Pawn, i found a solution but it involves flashing your diamond, so be very careful, and think if it's wrth it, i done it and was very happily enjoyin the sprint theme till i got bored. Flash ur Device to rom 1.93 i believe and the rest, then install TF3D config and change the theme. Some have been warned not to use TF3D on their Devices, so be warned also, i did it and it worked fine for me, but it may have different results fr u.

o.k so maybe your trying to be quick and clever but in the process your coming off a bit silly. Read what you've typed, and now repeat the words fone and phone back to yourself, they both sound the same phonetically, So I believe what you have a problem with, is the way in which the word phone was spelt, NOT how it sounds, because there is no difference. Try again teacher. LOL, LOL. This is my first and final response on this very trivial matter, i don't even understand why you felt the need to even comment.

WM6.5 Clock

Hey there all you themers and skinners out there,
Is there a way to change just the clock panel in a WM6.5 theme without having to create a whole new theme? Like, can I just replace some files, and maybe deselect/select the theme again, and the clock will change? I'm looking for just some big bold numbers without that obnoxious analog icon that doesn't change. Or, if there's an analog clock panel that DOES change, that would work too.
I liked the clock look in Ivan's JustHome, but I just recently (today) switched to StripTease: Lots to Love, which has the classic black theme. I like everything in that theme (and the ROM) except that analog clock.
Any tips?
Thanks.
Just use M2DC. Go to the "Home xml" tab and deselect analog clock and make sure digital clock is selected.

Is M2DC a resource hog? I'm already under 20MB at startup with the other crap I installed on this ROM.
Not really, it just changes a couple things in the files, you don't have to run it in the background.
Besides, you can't really use a Manila2D ROM and then complain about free RAM. There aren't really any M2D ROMs out there with more than 22mb free on a fresh flash. If you want alot of RAM, you have to sacrifice Manila altogether and just go with Titanium.

Yeah, I guess that becomes the question then. Right now I'm using Titanium (StripTease: Lots to Love) and enjoying it aside from the clock (which I realize is being very nitpicky). Further research yesterday showed me that I should have shifted my focus from finding panels to finding plug-ins. I tried two (CAnalog Clock and CDigiClock), both of which seemed to slow my phone down more than the regular clock, but I discovered last night that CAnalog Clock didn't completely uninstall and was still in Windows/StartUp. It could have been that parts of it were still being loaded along with CDigiClock. I removed all parts of CAnalog I could find, and am going to give CDigiClock another shot today.
Does anyone else use a different Titanium clock plug-in?

OMFG. I don't know what the heck is wrong with me the last couple days. For some stupid reason I was thinking that Lots to Love was a manila2d ROM and not Titanium. Sorry for that
Um, did you try the CHeroClock? I'm not sure if that's the same thing as CDigiClock or not, but I can tell you the reason they all make your phone slower is probably because they run on MortScript, which is most likely installed from the clock cab. There's not alot you can do about it besides keep track of your memory and overclock your phone. The only other way to change it is to do some pretty heavy cpr and xml editing that is way beyond my skill level.

I think CDigiClock is the same as CHeroClock, but I'll give it a shot just in case. And yeah, MorScript is correct. I've overclocked to 240, and I'm definitely not ready for CPR editing. XML maybe. But probably not.
Thanks for the info.

Though this may seem strange, annoying, obnoxious...this is actually supposed to be a cool "feature" by HTC -- simulated excessive digit-flipping.
Someone has posted what seems to be a fix for this "feature" on NRG's Photon thread on the rom-development sub-forum.

Some people who have tried it say it works. It didn't work for me...but I'm running a WM6.5.1-based ROM with Manila 2.5, so maybe however this fix works...doesn't work for my system.
I'd love to get rid of this too............. gunna try the "fix" but I am sure I not only don't know how to do it, since I have the newest and latest photon ROM it won't work.
This didn't work for me on the OEM AT&T ROM
You can swipe up to make the large clock away, and show a smaller clock (in portrait view), but then the large clock still shows in landscape. Suggestions for ways around this? There doesn't seem to be a built-in setting to change this. Any quick CABs or reg edits, aside from installing a different clock?

Worked for me. NRG's leo rom. Make sure you disable manilla before copying file into windows. Great!!
This clock-flipping thing seems odd to me, because I've never seen it on my own phone (running UK Vodafone stock ROM).
Does this mean I'm likely going to gain this "feature" when I flash a different new ROM (e.g. one of the ones from the chefs here) ?
i tried but it did not work ... demmit !
thought as much but worth a try anyway ... so we keep on searching ...

Alarm none functioning after Vovichek_Jamrecords_20shcut_m2525.cab

Noticed this after updating to official WWE 3.14.
The Alarm Clock shortcut on the Home Tab stops working with the Vovichek cab installed.
This is a real pain cos I really would like more than the stock 9 quick-links, so if anyone knows a fix for this, or another simple method (reg-hack) to increase quick-links it would be great.
I've already tried Co0kie.HomeTab_v2.0.0.cab, but do not want the other stuff it installs.
Thanks.

Go to the link below and check out #22 in the list I think this is what you are looking for.
A little looking around on your own would have found this though as this is a stickie in the HD2 Windows Mobile Q&A and General forum.
That cab has been around for a looong loooong time and was created from an outdated version of manila which is probably why its causing issues.
I recall having problems with that cab myself a while ago. If you find after uninstalling it that your alarm still does not work, you may need to hard reset.
The tip suggested by T-Macgnolia should solve your problem though.
If not, even though you may not like the way CHT makes your home screen look by default, it is possible to change the settings to make your home screen look completely like a stock rom but with more quicklinks.
Personally I cant understand how anyone can use manila without CHT
Thats just me though.... Im a fanboy
