Can i change O2 Rom to work correctly with spanish keyboard?

Hi,
In the office I have a qtek 9000 spanish version (spanish keyboard). I have upgraded to O2 english rom. Everything is fine but the keyboard. Some specials keys (colon, semicolon, etc) doesnt match keyboard because the rom "thinks" my keyboard is an "english keyboard". Is there any way to change it? maybe remapping the scan codes? may be applying a pach)?

Was just looking into this...
I was just checking the other forums on this and came across some interesting posts in the wizard section on remmapping keyboard by way of a reg edit. Here is the data pertaining to the wizard. You can probably do the same with the Universal. CREDIT GOES TO OAINOT for this.
Now we need a small registry hack.
1. Use a registry editor like total commander.
2. Go to \HKCU(HK Current User)\ControlPanel\Keybd\Locale.
3. Change the value of the key "Locale" from "0809" to "0407". "0407" is the locale ID for Standard German. You can find other Locale ID suitable for you at: http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/reference/winxp/xp-lcid.mspx.
4. Do a soft reset and enjoy. All the keys and symbols have fixed right.
Try this.
I found this info by doing a forum search for "QWERTZ" (the german keyboard layout).

I ve changed the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\Qwerty from 66569 (english) to 68617 (spanish) and works fine

yup.. sipchange will do the trick. I used it to also set pocketcm keyboard as my default.

SIPchange is a good software but i really need a registry hack for change the default keyboard.
I have to make a CAB file with a SIP keyboard that makes itself the default but don't hide all the others.
Have anyone ideas?

use sktools much better, you can disable and enable all keyboard, or even delete them.

Disable Touch Input Reg Edit

I have diabled some of the keyboards that I dont use but cant find the reg edit for disabling the "Touch Input". Anyone know it?

[Q] Customize keyboard menu?

Ok, what I want to do is customize the way the keyboard menu looks - I want to remove some of the entries, and move some of the other inputs on the main menu for example - I'd like to delete Phone Keypad, compact QWERTY and move RESCO 6.0 entries to main.
I looked for an answer and couldnt find one. I tried to delete Touch Input reg entry, but had to do hard reset... None known by me way helped me assign different keybord as default - tried sipchange and sktools...
Does anyone have a useful idea???

[SOLVED] Registery key disable xt9 on startup HD2

I am looking to disable the XT9 keyboard settings on startup in my ROM. I know the registry for the key is stored in HKLM\Software\Tegic
I dont know which keys I need to change to disable on startup.
I have tried searching the forum and also searching registery keys with both XT9 enabled and ABC enabled. I would like to enable ABC by default when the HD2 first boots up.
Any help would be appreciated.
