Hebrew Support?

Does anyone have a Hebrew solution? I would like to access hebrew enabled websites etc.

Hebrew for TyTn
There are couple of Hebrew support solutions for the TyTN.
Eyron Hebrew support (www.pocketpc.co.il) and PDAC (www.wince.co.il).
I tried both and found that Eyron is very heavy on my TyTN and causes pauses in operation while PDAC works very well (although there is a small bug with alignment to the right of contacts in English mode, however does not trouble too much and easily fixed).

Ye i did try the pocket pc.il one but we chutsnicks dont really need the UI change. Just the support.

The only Hebrew support I have found working is PDAC.
You can use it with Hebrew enabled only so web site, SMS, emails can be read.

Reading Arabic without changing ROM

Is there a way to read Arabic text on websites or pdf documents (I'll settle for either) without messing with the ROM? Is there some language support plug-in or something like that? I don't want to change my keyboard and menus etc just for the characters to show up properly. Is it worth trying a different browser?

I myself use في جيبي ع from informobility
works perfectly, read arabic in all programs, type in arabic, and u also get an arabic keyboard on the screen

[REQ]Russian Keyboard for UK English HD2?

Hi,
I have a UK English HD2. Unfortunately, this ROM version doesn't have a Russian keyboard on it, and I need it very much. Is it possible to install it on my device and can anybody share it with me?

I had the same problem; have a UK ROM but I do need a russian keyboard sometimes..have been looking for something like the cab you posted for quite a long time.

Doesn't work for me It does install, and there is an option Russian/English available through the keyboard menu (though no appropriate button), but nothing changes when I click Russian.

What about FingerKeyboard?
One of the most versatile keyboard programs I have used and is the very best keyboard for typing on in my experience, Blackstone or Leo.

Hi,
My HD2 is in english and I have installed the keyboard.
The keyboard works fine however when i send email in russian, the text is transform to question marks like '??????????? ??????? ????????????'.
any idea about how i can get around this and have my recipients seeing the email in russian?

hehe, I used to have the same problem!
you'll need to activate Unicode for sending messages in russian.
when you write an email in russian, go to "menu" in the right bottom of your screen. the list will appear, choose something like "message options" (I have a french version so.... ) than you'll have another list where you'll be able to choose a language from the list. pick "Unicode (UTF-8)" this one is more common I think.
same for the SMS messages - if you what you recipient to recieve a something in russian you'll have to activate Unicode.

Hi,
I've tried to change options to UTF-7 and UTF-8, the only two options for unicode i have, but to no avail. This seems only affect my emails, when i text in russian, it works even without changing to unicode.
Any ideas what else to try?

Hey, I installed the keyboard. It might be good to note that you have to soft reset the phone after installing. It functions but the problem is that the bottom row (the one with the space bar) doesn't render right. It's shifted down and to the right. Is there a newer version perhaps?

Who see ??????? signs? Recipient? That cam meat, that reciepient device (phone, PC, PDA or other) not support/don't have installed cyrylic support. This is only my suspections.
I suggest chceck SunnySoft site for localization pack. Inside is InterWrite keyboard and other stuff, so this should help. If you have this allready instaled, so go to Settings and find InterWrite icon, and look around settings. There are keyboards for your country.

Russian xT9 is already installed. All I need is a Russian Keyboard layout to use it. The SunnySoft interWrite software is not what I'm looking for. What I'd like is the OEM Russian keyboard layout.

I have the same problem as qBot.
Installed with no problem. Menu (for selecting keyboard) in Russian, but never changes, when I select Russian, stays in English.

[Q] HTC Desire Z and Arabic support

Guys I'd like to ask if there any Arabic support for the Desire Z ?
And could I use the Arabizer for Desire (Without Z) to the Desire Z ?
And is that mandatory to root the Froyo 2.2 to Arabize it ? and if yes how can I do it ? I'm sooo new to Android and I really need help
NB: I'm looking for the Arabic support only not to Arabize the menu and the programs names... thank you guys

I have the desire z with arabic fonts but everything in arabic shows wrong (disconnected letters) very annoing and hard to read. I found some soft keyboards on market but nothing mentioning arabic fix for reading. Anyone know how to fix this for froyo? Great phone but need to fix this arabic reading issue.
Any help will be appreciated.

I tried anysoftkeyboard i think it's called, but all it does is give you the option of an onscreen keyboard with the built in font. It doesn't connect the letters, i don't want to type arabic, i just want to be able to read it properly on my phone without having to root or alter the OS. the phone is great very fast, apart from this issue i love it.
Will this be fix in the next android version? do you guys think we'll be getting the update as well from HTC?

I am patientely waiting for Android's software Engineeres to connect the Arabic letters...
Other than that I love my Desire Z over my SGS.

yep, Mirsal does the trick for sms.
problem persists for emails and browsing etc.
there are no arabisers like in winmo.

I tested the new Desire HD being sold in the middle east and it comes preloaded with full arabic support froyo 2.2! Same with the Galaxy Tab. The interface can be english with full support of arabic text in sms, email and browser.
Now my questions, am i stuck with no official arabic support as my unit came from EU? is there a way to flash an arabic rom when available without losing the ability to receive official updates in the future?
Basically, i just want to be able to read proper arabic test on my phone.

I have all sorts installed but still my contacts (i.e. when people ring) are displayed in broken text... oh well. there is an arabic ROM package but it costs £3.60!

Hi,
I installed resco keyboard, and it's great beautiful app.
but I've problem with it now about language, I used this before I upgrade my rom to latest one.
& Now I see the character (for example persian or arabic) alphabet shows, but when I tap it, it will only write by eng alphabet, and only the English Words will write!
I also tried change the settings; primary, secondary... but none of them!
I also tried another keyboards like SPB and it's works.
But I wish if this resco could write another langs (it's include)
So is that my problem or yours also? or how can it work?

in the same site where you got the arabizer (3 file insides) ww.ir-tci.org the 3rd file is a Farsi Resco keyboard.

there are 3 files inside:
the 1 AND 2 install the arabizer/persianizer.
the 3rd is Resco with Persian layout. Should work for Arabian too. (letters are the same and the program is based for these two languages.)

I'm using English & French with original keyboard but I use the arabizer for reading Persian sms and texts

I see it's beautiful, the english writes good.
but at Farsi some words writes wrong like I tap on (س) it will write number (4)!? thats problem.
and the Options i cant understand anything it's russian, i want off the vibrate.
This isn't Resco Keyboard, it's FingerKeyboard.

sorry... because I don't use farsi keyboard I didn't test it. but thanks for testing it.
