Hello everyone,
Has anyone recently tried using Windows SideShow on their Polaris? I am trying to run SideShow with Windows 7 Beta but keep getting asked to "Select the primary user for this device" and cannot turn on any gadgets.

Don't know whether this is related to Windows Mobile or Windows 7 Beta, so was wondering whether anyone got it working at all?
Thanks

OOOps,
"APPLICATION BLOCKED DUE TO KNOWN COMPATIBILITY ISSUE
Previous versions of ActiveSync are not supported on PCs running Windows Vista. All features previously available in ActiveSync are now..."
Any ideas, rumors, ANYTHING????? Dont really feel like switching between OS to Sync my Exec :?
U do not use AS with VISTA !
You must use Windows Mobile Device Center
And that is a huge improvement !!
Everything just works, no hassle no problems,
the device is just that, a device on the compter.
This is with VISTA Beta 2, and you have to select the mobile uppdate in vista uppdates.

Hi, is there any1 using window 7 here?
is there any software to sync my prophet with window 7?
i tried activesync and window mobile device center. it does work. that 2 software is not compatible with window 7~
Thank you Very Much~~~~
Yes, i have same issue. I guess this isnt a problem considering windows 7 isnt even in beta yet nor is it close to RC....and of course its even further from retail.....
But us nerds want our MOBILE DEVICE CENTER
I'm sorry I did not see this post earlier. I'm currently running WMDC with Windows 7 Beta. You need to install a patch and it will be up and running. I also notice this when I first installed Windows 7. Google it. The keywords for the patch is Windows 7 drvupdate-amd64. Find a link that gets you to Microsoft. I hope that helps.
hey everyone...
are there any other alternatives then windows mobile?
like a linux?
and are they better or worse?
and does anyone know when the windows mobile 7 comes out?
thanks...
Linux
Windows Mobile 7
From everything I've read (and everything you could have looked up yourself), nothing works on a Wizard as well as Windows. Many come close to working, but unless you like crippled devices, I'd stick to Windows. There are some really nice cooked Windows Mobile 6.1 based ROMS in the Wizard Mobile 6 thread.
I know you're new to these boards, and I was a noob once, too, but please use the search engines, and do some research on your own. Not everyone will be nice about this.
Dear,
As the title itself states..
My mobile is:-
Mobile: Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0
OS: Android 2.2 Froyo
I had an HTC TyTN 2 once; I flashed it using a Windows Mobile 6.0 ROM from this website few years back. It worked quite cool..
To be honest I just love the Windows Mobile interface and the way it operates.. I mean it really looks like one is using a "WINDOWS" mobile.
I just love the way it looked..
Now as time passed. I switched to a latest phone which is operated by Android rather than Windows Mobile.
Now my question is that I know it is impossible to delete my Android 2.2 and Install Windows Mobile 6.0; But is it somehow possible to install Windows Mobile alongside with my Android 2.2 working the way it is working.. You know multi booting like if someone have installed Windows 7 and Windows XP on their computer.. They can launch the one they wish... or sometimes using some software they can launch the Windows XP while Windows 7 is running.
It is possible to get something similar to my device???
Thank you
Faisal.
You can always buy a HD2 off ebay since it was the last phone with Windows mobile and is still in development since it can run Android, WP7 or linux and recently Cotulla showed off his one running WP8 and windows RT

Any chance to give better hardware (better than HTC HD2) to Windows Mobile 6.5? Maybe something like NativeSD WM6?
There`s so much valuable old WM software still in use.

He has a Galaxy Tab, not a phone. He should just get an Acer W500 or an HP Slate which both run full Windows.
HI GUYS
I am On Windows Phone 7.8 Now And I Really Like It Even If I Can't Find Windows Phone 8 Rom For Now
I Was Wondering When Windows RT Rom Will Be Available For Download Cause I Saw The Images Of The First Port For The RT
And I Think It Would Be Awesome To Have Windows RT Running On The HD2
So Guys Anyone Has Any Idea When It Would Be Available For Downloading ?!
never... is good idea but in reality not possible...
