Keyboard layout changes on rotation - Touch HD General

Hi, i installed S2U2 and my keyboard began to change its layout when i rotate the phone. On portrait its phone keyboard and on landscape it's QWERTY. I uninstalled S2U2, but it continued happening. Does anyone know how to stop this? Thanks in advance.

not sure whether that problem is related to s2u2... i think the reson for changing is that the phone keyboard is not available at all in landscape!? or are you sure that it was before installing s2u2?
regards jan

Hi,
I just checked it, there is no phone keyboard layout available in landscape mode.
I did not install a 3rd party keyboard software on my HD.

How disable Gyrator when typing with spb keyboard?

hi.
when you change the spb keayboard to the fullscreen version it rotates automatically to landscape. but when you turn the device to landscape mode gyrator notices it and changes the application you are typing in and the spb keyboard disappears.
how can you change that?
I have this issue too and would be interested if anyone knows how to stop it from closing the keyboard on rotation
I have the same problem! Please someone help us! =(
I had the same problem so I uninstalled it and used this program: -
"[APP] Alternative to Gyrator / Screen tilt app"
I don't have the problem now.
Hey Checkov!
Thanks for the info! But please tell me, if the app you suggested automatically ignores screen rotation within SPB Keyboard or if you added an exception? If the latter is the case, please provide the info you used, since you can add exceptions with Gyrator as well!
If you didn't add an exception I guess I'll uninstall gyrator and switch!
Thanks,
Martin
The other program has the same problem...
Hi again!
I just tried using the program you suggested but it has the exact same problem: Whenever I use my device in portrait mode and open the fullscreen SPB Keyboard and rotate my device to use the keyboard, the keyboard disappears!

Gyrator 2 + HTC Full qwerty keyboard - landscape bug?

I'm running Gyrator 2, and everything seems to be working well, except that when I try to type in landscape mode, pressing the comma key gives a full stop, and vice versa! This doesn't happen with Opera, which is excluded from rotating in Gyrator, so I'm assuming it's some issue with that. Anyone else had this problem?
with gsen i dont have a problem.. maybe someone that uses gyrator test this?
*bump* Anyone have any idea what this might be?
Hi, am running gurator2 also, but no problems here.
landscape, word/sms and typing comma (,,,) no problems.

Hi,
I posted some information on this in the FAQ from an old thread here - I think it's locale specific
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BlackstoneFAQ#WM61
Thanks for the link, at least I know it's not just me! None of the other threads came up with a solution though...
I have this too however i'm used to having the wrong keys in the wrong place as i'm too lazy to change my regional settings in windoze (hangs head in shame)
read somewhere it had something to do with T9. try to switch it of in landscape and see if it helps.

Rotate Screen -> incomplete keyboard

Hi,
I've used the 'advanced configuration tools' to enable screen rotation. The rotation itself works fine, but when enabling the keyboard, the second row is missing (on the 270° rotated screen). When switching back to normal, the keboardy is complete again.
Am I the only one with this problem and can I fix it somehow?
Cheers,
ratsche
Same problem here. I think the default keyboard is just not meant to be used in landscape mode, so I installed Resco keyboard and use it when in landscape.
Just select the standard keyboard in stead of the Complete qwerty keyboard.

Hi, I installed Spb keyboard and I'm quite happy with it, however I have a little issue: everytime I Soft Reset my phone the keyboard launches on startup regardless whether I set Spb keyboard as system default or the built in. Any ideas how to correct this?
I'm using ROM 1.48.479.1 and have installed Touch-X taskbar and sdkcert.cab

HTC Landscape Keyboard

Hi All,
Can anyone please advice or provide the HTC landscpae keyboard, which has FULL-QWERTY layout.
Once you change the orientation of Jade from potrait to landscape using some app, the Full-QWERTY keyboard of HTC doesn't show up properly as I believe that it has been configured to work in potrait mode only.
But, other HTC devices are having landscape support (unlike Jade) and they have HTC's Full-Qwerty keyboard which works for both potrait as well as landscape mode.
Has anyone extracted it and can provide me the cab (or atleast the pointer to it)?
PS: I know there are other keyboard applications, but somehow I find HTC's keyboard is the best and comfortable.
Thanks in advance!!
